      Hey, this is gonna sound random, but can you make a video about how Jimmy Snow ignores and silences his fans? You can start on /r/freelytalkaboutjimmy. It's been happening for a while now and no one seems to care, the only videos I've seen are about the Gabbie Hanna situation. Also, he advertises things in his Patreon that he doesn't deliver. Sounds kinda Scammy, right?

I've followed online stories about the Ace Family since October and the hits just keep coming. This person wants to sue. That person wants to sue Austin. In regards to her OF agency, it rang some alarm bells for a personal situation. My eldest daughter is 20, and was approached by an agency on her insta. They’re trying to talk her into signing with them because they “like what they see”. My daughter has 200 followers, and this agency claims to have signed big YT names, and feel she’s “got what it takes”. My daughter is a musician who is trying to break through into the industry, so she is blinded by the possibility of being noticed, and though I’ve told her there is something really fishy with this entire situation, her desire to reach her dream is blinding her. My daughter also has Asperger’s, so she doesn’t always see the obvious, and it’s heartbreaking to see. I can only so so much, she is an adult, but I wish she could see how predatory these people are.

      No offense but she is a 20 year old with autism, even if she wasn't autistic she's barely not a child and by biological standards is still a child until 25. You should be protecting her from this obvious red flag instead of giving up because she's above the law defined 18 year mark, especially as autistic girls are targetted because assholes know about their trusting nature (you can find the most disgusting discussions on Reddit and 4chan about it). Maybe this is the eastern culture in me (and the fact that I'm guardian to my autistic sister) but you shouldn't be afraid of being the bad guy to save your - yes ~adult~ - daughter from bad things. She's barely not an adult and doesn't realise the depravity of some people yet, especially if you've shielded her from this in childhood which is fair but it makes it less likely for an autistic child to anticipate it in adulthood so you need to focus on teaching her these things now and not just expect her to just figure it out like a neurotypical person (and again even if not she's 20 and being approached by a red flag). What helped with my sister was showing her the more tame posts by guys showing how they will target her for pressured sex and other activities. Maybe that extreme isn't needed for you but please don't give up in the name of "adulthood", she's your responsibility for life

    • @chumpess
      @chumpess Год назад +13

      Thank you to those who asked, when I posted this we were in the middle of the situation still, but finally we were able to make her see what was happening was not something that would be beneficial to her. So in the end she is completely okay, working with an amazing company right now who sees her worth, and choosing to continue to produce her own music on the side. I’m extremely proud of her.
      In regards to the last comment; what made you think I’d given up? Because I said “I can only do so much?”? A true statement; I can’t physically restrain my daughter to stop her from making a huge mistake, but I sure as hell didn’t stop doing everything else I possibly could to get her to see the predatory nature of what was going on…and it payed off. A lot of assumptions made in your post. As you can see from what I said above, she is okay, in fact, she is thriving. This has nothing to do with east vs west, don’t bring that bigotry into this. My best friend is Chinese, lives in Malaysia, but sends her children to a Chinese school and raises them steeped in their mothers heritage. She and I talk almost on the daily, and we both have very similar parenting styles…except if anything, she has less to do with her adult child than I do. This isn’t about culture, this is about parenting. You think I abandon my child, neurodiverse or not, because she turns 18? All based on a post that was made whilst I was in the middle of a situation? How do you think I knew what was going on in the first place? My children know they can come to me, without judgement, and tell me anything…whether they’re adults or still young children. Take your assumptions, and place them elsewhere, because in this case, they’re wrong. I’ve advocated for my children for almost 22 years, why the hell would I stop now?

    As someone who watched tana as a teen, from very early in her career, something I noticed that people have not tended to bring up is that her narrative wasn't always being poor... When she was starting out, she'd say "my dad was big in the casino business" and stuff that would often imply they were well off. Now she talks about how poor she was. I don't bring it up to discredit her, honestly, i dont think she's lying about growing up poor, but it is kinda interesting how what she wants to portray has changed. Its similar to how in the earlier days, she would always state that she had partied/used drugs in the past, but no longer did, and didn't like weed . Smokey glow's video does touch on this quite a bit. Her perception of what she should be has changed a lot. I think this tends to happen tbh, kinda like how Jake paul once he's successful started saying he was bullied in high school and grew up poor despite everyone who knew him stating otherwise. Once people get popular online, it's in their best interests to portray themselves as an underdog, who's been through a lot and struggled to the top. It keeps them relatable and sympathetic.

    • @cruelworldhappymind
      @cruelworldhappymind  3 года назад +28

      That makes sense! Tbh I hadn’t watched Tana a bunch in her earlier content, so much of what I gathered was from watching her content to prepare for this video. I watched the video where she claims her parents would refuse to take her to the doctor because it was too expensive, etc. but this all brings up an important point that we’ll probably never really know the full story and what people portray online can be so vastly different from the reality (as we already know)

      @@mapl3w33d anything is possible tbh! I don't think that's what it was but like I said, I'm not saying she's lying about being poor, I don't doubt it or care tbh. I kinda just want to point out how that's changed drastically, like how she talks about drugs and alcohol. And how she said she graduated high school early back then, now admits to dropping out. It's not abt which narrative is a lie but more about how it's changed when what will be beneficial to her image changes.

      I remember that! I was watching Tana way back in like 2015-2017, I didn't like how she tried to lie on inabber (even though inabber would abuse the n word) she acted like she just never said that word before in her life and then I found a whole lot of clips of her saying it, AND WITH THE HARD R and Menacingly. It made me uncomfortable as a black viewer because something told me that she mightve been a lowkey racist. And the worst part was the apology, it was so trash! I tried to give her chances because she's literally 1 year older than me and I was watching her when I was 16, 17 and 18 years old, but I quit following her for a combination of things, not only for the n word, but the way she treated her assistant, the fact that as a younger woman at the time I felt manipulated, she made strange overly sexual comments that made me uncomfortable because I knew that she knew her audience was really young (around her age and younger), she just did so many tacky things even early in her career it was just toooooo much. All of her apology videos were "I'm just young" girl we're the same age and I don't even do the things you do 😭 it's not a mistake you're just a trashy person, a liar, a narcissist, a manipulator, and just an overall mess 😂
