I love your videos and insight. You have such a clear, kind, wise and patient approach. Thank you for sharing all you do. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I know it is hard to lose our loved ones and feeling like they may have suffered more than they should have is even worse. Condolences to you and your family. I also have to say, sometimes it's unclear if the frail person broke their hip from the fall or if their weakening bone actually caused the fall to begin with. Either way, your exercises seem the right prevention. And I especially applaud that they seem to strengthen the entire pelvic region for not only strength but also stability. Thank you for explaining that balance depends on muscle integrity and firing capacity. I'm not elderly but I had muscle atrophy after limitations brought on by a major motor vehicle accident in my 30s. The attitude of most of my providers at the time was to take it easy and limit my activities. I learned the hard way that was wrong and it was a harder road to reverse it all a decade later, but I have. So in that sense, I did start to realize how older people can get compromised over time as one limitation compounds into more problems. Now I watch you and others to keep up with new strategies for personal challenge and just variety in my life. We have to keep moving. And I comment in the hope of helping your channel expand.

I took a job this summer with a lot of sitting involved. Bad mistake. I'm 58 and have always had jobs that I moved a lot in. Thank you for helping me start a workout program. I would love another video.😊
As a young woman I always felt ashamed of my strong muscular legs but now as I’m aging I appreciate it. Thanks for this video I want to keep my legs strong until I die!
I’d love a follow along video. I injured my knee while gardening and haven’t done much for a month other than some mild stretching. This series of lower body exercises are just what I need. Thank you!
Oh, wow! Those hip circles are the perfect antidote to a long stretch of sitting at my computer doing tax returns! They feel really good, even though I can clearly feel my leg muscles working. They're now my new favorite movement break activity!
Almost all work in the kitchen I am doing in mini static squat (cutting wedgies, washing dishes), biking every day, walking stairs 4th floor twice a day (and stairs everywhere else), putting socks and shoes one leg standing.. with hernia, both hip and both knee arthritis.. movement is the best medicine! (59 years young)
Oh my goodness when you said don't act like a teenager 😅 I'm 68 and my Son is always saying mum why do you push exercise to the limit basically until it's painful. Hearing you say that makes me realise that I need to work up to the exercise instead of pushing until it's way to painful. I appreciate all of your videos thanks from Ireland 😊

64 yr female, have 3 bad discs @ S-1 L5, L5-L-4 & L4- L-3 also pelvic tilt (left hip is higher than right) & bad knees. Exercise 3 x week in therapy pool. Any tips or recommendations? Have improved muscle tone but not hip tilt so far. Tried doctors, PT, chiropractic & accupture.
I think that older people who cannot walk briskly should work on rebuilding muscles first. Walking too slow does not improve mobility much and does not build practically functional muscles. Using ankle weights as you are showing here is one of the nest ways to rebuild leg muscles.
What is the muscle over the ischial tuberosity ? How can we strengthen that muscle. I have personally witnessed in the elderly that muscle to be underrtoned.
