They are fucking badass. I love how they use the Gentle Giant elements ( counterpoint stuff) . One of the best prog metal bands in the world , cool vocals.
Kudos for your reference- first prog band ever heard, got me off of the Korn/slipknot phase (not bad artists) just stuff for edging since rly doesn’t get me off aurally like these Demi gods- I actually get zeppelin vibes by their approach and the way the disparate parts make a paredolia of sound but the. They can switch back to dense poly stuff and best of all the vocals are very very well done- the complexity/harmony really shows you how inspired they are- beautiful.
For all the people commenting on the crowd, I'm not going to outright defend them, but do try to keep in mind this is a soundboard feed, with almost certainly no audience mics. Meaning you're not going to hear much, if any audience noise even if it was present that night.

An official bootleg is a bit of an oxymoron. It's basically here's a live show that we didn't need to put a whole lot of budget into creating an official live show release for.
It’s probably mostly automated and runs from their DAW session they use for their click track and samples. So the perfect syncing occurs because everyone is playing to the exact same metronome that the lights and midi patches are programmed to. That’s usually how it’s done, these days. Very involved process by a light artist
This is a fantastic soundboard mix. I was always suspect of the harmonies on the albums, and they are nothing great live, but hey the instrumentals more than make up for anything lacking in vocals. Ross is much better live than I would have expected him to be.

I actually quite like the mix on this... It doesn't sound like a nice cleaned up studio recording; it sounds live! Vocals aren't really that bad either, maybe a few warts but overall quite solid.

He's no Freddie Mercury, but I know how winded I get when I walk while singing. There are times when I sound a LOT worse, have to catch my breath and my voice fails me. The sound is from the front of house mixing board, so it's very dry and with little room atmosphere or reverb in the mix. Makes it sound a lot drier and deader than the studio recording, or if they had recorded with room mics added into the mix, which is what they normally do for live recordings. I also don't especially like the overall mix, but it could have been that the audio files they got from whoever was recording didn't allow them full control of the mix.

Go check out the bootleg of Initiate from Tech Fest 2016 if you don't believe me. I'm not hating on the band though, I think they're awesome and I play them in the car all the time. Also I'm loving the new song, it fits his vocals way better so I think that's going to sound much much better live 👍🏻

Probably there is not too much listeners which to be able appreciate them... Their music is too perfect.
