One of the greatest songs of all time, from one of the greatest albums of all time, from one of the greatest bands of all time. After listening to it dozens of times, this song and album still move me in ways no other music has. This capture is simply amazing, and truly timeless.
God I was there for the recording. They played Aquamedley first. About 16 minutes of the whole Aquarius album back to back. When they finally finished, they started this song and I couldn't believe that they would play the entire 20 minute thing in TOTAL. I was stunned, absolutely flabbergasted. 36 minutes of unabridged top tier music in one go.
I see a lot of lucky people who are discovering Haken here... Lucky bastards.. Enjoy that. They're incredibly good and I would be extremely happy to discover them again..
Most people don't understand my tastes in music in general, but every time I show this song to someone they are speechless after the song has finished. Definitely one of the all time favorite songs I have ever heard, and will ever hear in my lifetime
It's hard to find a prog song that doesn't have some weird section, especially at the beginning. But this is one of the songs I can happily throw at someone (even though it has a weird section about 6 minutes in).
@@TheXenProject to be fair the part "i bet you dont remember me" starts being weird the fiftieth time they say it, i fucking adore this song but that section its a bit repetitive, even if it makes sense.

Yes, as stated, these vocals are heavily melodyned. In fact, I suspect they were completely rerecorded in a studio and then melodyned, which is a shame because I've seen them twice live - once on the american leg of this tour, and once during the Vectour, and (at the Haken 10th anniversary tour show in particular) Ross's performance was the greatest vocal performance I've ever seen from a live band, so I'm not sure why they felt the need to completely redo the vocals from this show.
Totally awesome band, why they are not selling out stadiums is beyond me, a thousand times better than all the shit that dominates radio and the charts these days..
I was lucky enough to see them perform with Mike Portnoy a few years ago. I really didn't think that seeing MP would only be the second best thing on this day
It really goes to show how well they sound when they're professionally recorded. So many times I've seen comments saying Ross sings offkey or they're playing out of rhythm and they're solely judging it off someone's cellphone recording. God bless you Haken. One of the greatest bands of ALL TIME
Imo it's better for these bands to stay obscure and small, more engagement with the band. As long as they get the support and love they deserve and they can pay the bills at the end of the month it's okay right?
@@CoRe01337 I read somewhere that they're struggling financially. Some of them still have day jobs. Not sure if it's true, though. Hope the new album did well.

Communicate with me
Their visions of a future
Of what is yet to be
As I see the way I die
And I try to change it

By the silent cries that echo in the streets

With my whole life left to figure if the boy I accidentally killed was me
Voices become strangely deceiving
Gravity's pull has zero effect on me
Now the moment's finally here
And it feels just like before
Only now I face the truth
I will have to wait no more
Will this ever end?
I've been through enough
This is the part where I wake up with blood on my hands
Traveling back to where it all began
As for the boy, it pleased me to know
That he'll just wake up nine years old, alone and afraid
He'll live for the day this moment comes around again
Now the moment's finally here
And it feels just like before
Even now I know the truth
I accept my fate no more
I bet you don't remember me
I guess you won't forget
The only way to go
When there is nowhere left to roam
Scenes from someone else's lifetime
Flash like bright lights before my eyes
Scenes from someone else's lifetime
Flash like bright lights in my eyes
From the beginning I never dreamt I was the killer
Over the edge, falling in and out of time
Yeah the moment passed us by
And it felt just like before
As I leave this world behind
I know I'll come back for more
