Rochelle is so skilled! I have so much to learn from her 💞 Thank you all for being so inspiring for women who want to be handy and build things around the house!
ROCHELLE IS THEEEE GOAT 🐐 Soooooo talented. We need more Rochelle content pleasee. Y’all should do a full makeover of her place like in the old videos. Btw are we ever going to get some more space makeovers for the fans?? I love those videos so much
My Mom used to get so annoyed because I never remembered to shut the laundry room door. Now that I have my own house, and I notice the door is open, I take it as a sign from my Mom saying hi. 😂
How did you ever make it this far without Rochelle? She's your Norm! (This Old House OG) - love to see more of her work. Clever job, Kelsey. Appreciate your can-do attitude!
Looks great! Way better. You took the "basement" feel out of it for sure. Very clever problem solving to put things up, but be able to remove them easily. Well done and inspirational as always!
Lovely design Kelsey, it marries well with the industrial language f the space and the warmth from the wood is the perfect compliment. Inspired by your skills Rochelle! Nuff respect
The Sorry Girls channel has one of the most inspiring things in my life. It led me to study to become a carpenter, and that in fact led me to towards to my very biggest dreams in a whole another sector. So, thank you. Thank you SO much
This is so cool! I love how you kept the industrial metal vibes but made it look classy with the faux tin tile! It's like the perfect space. Also, making the sheeting magnetic was genius! This looks more aesthetic than so many pinterest/tiktok laundry rooms, AND more functional too!
Being on the sorry girls team might be the best job ever! Everyone you bring on gets to learn so many practical skills while getting comfortable in front of a camera with the support of veterans, it’s honestly perfect
This I love how realistic you are with this laundry room. Mine is in the garage for some reason they have washer and trying not next to each other. So annoying 😄
*Magnets on the Tin Sheeting* . Genius Solution! I will be sharing this video with a friend of mine who has an industrial style basement space. This might be cost prohibitive for a large space but looks so much better than a drop ceiling. Well done Team SG!
You nailed this makeover, I swear you girls are legit diy guru's at this point, making spaces look expensive for very little money. Side bar: Kelsey's parents are so stinking cute, the way they thought it was a hoot to be part of the reveal and dad was mad impressed
How wonderful that you have parents that are supportive! Great job all around. The magnetic ceiling is ingenius! What a clever design! Enjoy your weekend!! xxoo
I'm confused by the magnets to hold the tile up and then the screws through the tile to hold the clothes bar up??? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the magnets??? How do you get the tile down now??? Remove the clothes bar???
That’s exactly what I thought 😅 like if you need to remove the screws from the pipe to take the ceiling down why not just use screws for the entire thing ?
I'm at a place where there's nothing else I could do to my rental apartment so watching Making Home is like a renovation/decorating fix. I really like Kelsey's style and look forward to see more!
One, I adore Rochelle's karaoke break, we need more of them! Two, love the space, Kelsey, it looks so good. Three, how are your parents so adorable?? Like, every time your parents appear, they're so supportive and happy for you :)
What a brilliant transfor.ation, love the magnet hack. Also really enjoyed how excited and proud you were to show mum and Dad your lau dry space. Well done Kelsey (and Rochelle)!
Oh gosh Kelsey, that laundry room makeover is fabulous I really love the vibe it has, that metal that you used on the wall and ceiling is perfect looking and also that beautiful butcher block on top of your washer and dryer seem perfect as well. It really does look great when the doors are left open. Rachelle is so amazing at the help she gave you to get started on this makeover and that floating shelf is also so wonderful and you have those baskets that make that space so great and functional. Thanks so much for this really great video that was a lot of fun to watch. I wish you great days and blessings, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂🥰🤗💞💜💜
This is beautiful. You took an eyesore and made a diamond. And you and your dad are precious. I love how your accent came out when you responded to him.
I don’t know if it’d be too hard to get to it but they make water heater blankets that help insulate the water heater. I’ve seen them in white but they may make silver ones that would help it blend in with all the other silver. Either way, the space looks great and I bet it’ll make doing laundry more pleasant. Great job to both of you.👏
Honestly mind blown!!!! Very awesome how you were able to turn this utility room into a lovely visual element that meshes great with the rest of the bathroom and home!!!!
What a great makeover! All the features and ingenuity that went into the space are 💯! You make others want to learn to use power tools - thanks for the empowerment!
Brilliance personified! The removability factor you built in is just genius. The industrial aesthetic is so appealing. Fixin' to get a new countertop for my laundry room now after seeing yours.
Self adhesive hook and loop tape would also work for the panelling. It would cover a greater surface area (more secure?) and might be cheaper. You could use staples to reinforce the connection to the studs. Also, I have had good results using a vinyl cutter and glass etching cream on glass jars.
Seeing your book selections in the sponsored section, I saw the invisible life of Addie Larue... put it to the top of your list! My favourite book ever! 😁😁 highly highly recommend!
I wanted to let you know i read this comment when i watched the video the other day and have started reading it, love it so far - thanks for the recommendation, internet stranger!!
Your short on this project showed up on my feed for some unknown reason. I was so intrigued, I had to find the full length video and voilà! I’m a new subscriber.
I had to pause this video from my tv, come to my phone to comment … This video is RIGHT ON TIME! I just looked at my tiny laundry closet hoping to make more aesthetic functionality and here you come with this video 🥹🥹 This why I’ve been loving The Sorry Girls for years 🙏🏾🙌🏾
I cant tell if I love or hate the faux tin tiles cuz they're not my style but they remind me of my great grandma's house so there's nostalgia. I can't pick. Edit: no, ok. With the styling and shelving and all that, the tiles are a vibe
I am such a fan of this series. I'm proud to say that at least a couple of my nieces and nephews went to the same high school as Kelsey!! (Not at the same time, as far as we can tell though)
Love the functionality of this. :) Often DIYs for me around the house can be more about function that necessarily the most aesthetic. To go a step beyond for more aesthetic, not functional I would add some like linen curtains hanging on both sides to hide the extra pipes and stuff, but that's just extra.
One of my favourites!!!❤🎉 This is ao smart and functional and beautiful!!! I love that it's not just interior design but actually usable in day to day life
I am here in Oregon in the Willamette Valley USA and I’m big on living green. Therefore, I am so surprised that I didn’t know about bulk refill. I’ve lived here all my life. I go to places where I can get food items bulk, but I never knew about this. So, as soon as you said it, I went and looked for it and yes we have one in my town. Thank you so very much. Seriously, thank you. Also, I have been in love with tin ceilings for about 30 years and never got to do it. I love what you’ve done and I thought it was amazing how well it fit in the phone booth just the random one you got from your parents. So I am really loving this video today. OK I love all your videos but I’m enjoying this one extra. Great job &. Thanks again. One day I really hope to do a copper tin ceiling in my living room.
I know I'm watching this late but my idea for the light would be to dilute some paint thinner and add more drips by putting a drop at the bottom then flip it over let gravity do its thing then rinse it out? Id probably test it on some plastic bc it is flammable so with the light youd want to make sure you can remove the thinner.
Rachelle is hands down the most valuable member of the team, I hope she knows how great she is!
Anyone else wants to see a makeover at Rachelle’s house?
oh it's eventually coming you know it.
Yes!!! ❤
YES!
Yesssssss
Love Rachelle!
Beautiful makeover! Rochelle is such a great addition to the team. She’s been able to elevate so many projects for you all. Well done, ladies!
she really is
Rochelle is so skilled! I have so much to learn from her 💞 Thank you all for being so inspiring for women who want to be handy and build things around the house!
Love having Rochelle as one of the SGs! It really does make a huge difference having her on
I love the little “aye’s” between you and your parents ❤😂
literally just watched that section back and didn't even realize that it was said that many times LOL eh?
Haha same with the Canadian viewers.. didn't even notice lol
ROCHELLE IS THEEEE GOAT 🐐 Soooooo talented. We need more Rochelle content pleasee. Y’all should do a full makeover of her place like in the old videos. Btw are we ever going to get some more space makeovers for the fans?? I love those videos so much
I love how Canadian Kelsey gets when her parents come to visit 😂😂
I was counting the Ehs between Kelsey and her Dad 🥰😂
Came here to say this 😆
I was just thinking that very same thing ❤❤❤
I was coming to comment this ❤
I was going to comment they ay!
I love how Rochelle is always helping everyone out. She seems so knowledgeable and clever!
Rochelle is amazing!! She absolutely is crushing it in all these videos.
I know! I'm so glad she gets the recognition she deserves.
#1 most supportive dad. He was so impressed by every detail
I love how Kelsey's dad is always so amazed and proud of these projects!
As an American, I love hearing your Canadian accents and way of talking… “eh?”. ❤ I love the magnet idea as well!
The amount of ''eh?" her father said in the 2 minutes he was on video 😂😂
I was thinking the same thing when Kelsey was showing her parents. Made me smile. Such a subtle but noticeable difference from American English.
So amazed every time by how talented Rochelle is! She is doing difficult tasks with such ease. 👏🏽
My Mom used to get so annoyed because I never remembered to shut the laundry room door. Now that I have my own house, and I notice the door is open, I take it as a sign from my Mom saying hi. 😂
❤❤❤
I love Rochelle! She is so hard working and her vibe is just ✨
How did you ever make it this far without Rochelle? She's your Norm! (This Old House OG) - love to see more of her work. Clever job, Kelsey. Appreciate your can-do attitude!
I love kelseys dad! He is so proud and then he goes and rub his hand over the self like its a gem. ☺️
My heart melted when mom and dad came by to see the reveal ❤
This one was a real "trust the process" type of makeover lol
Great job!
those are my favourite honestly
Looks great! Way better. You took the "basement" feel out of it for sure. Very clever problem solving to put things up, but be able to remove them easily. Well done and inspirational as always!
I’ve never heard of a bulk refill center. That’s pretty nice! I use laundry detergent sheets-in a cardboard box-no plastic!
"Darn, that is nice!" - the highest praise a dad can offer :)
Lovely design Kelsey, it marries well with the industrial language f the space and the warmth from the wood is the perfect compliment.
Inspired by your skills Rochelle! Nuff respect
Your parents reaction to the space was priceless. They were as excited as you were
They were so cute! 🤗
I guess you really never are too old to show off your projects to mom and dad ❤

I'm a huge fan of that magnet solution. It's a great idea for spaces where you need accessibility but you still want to style the space.
That’s how I found y’all was through the DIY storage days!! This makeover definitely elevates the space and gives it more intention!! ❤❤❤
I feel like rachelle could fix my entire life. what an incredibly intelligent and competent ray of sunshine.

I love how more gleeful and excited Kelsey’s dad gets! Also his laugh reminds me of the Skype laughter chain 😂❤
6:46 ❤❤❤ YASS the Ashanti breakdown we all needed!
More of Rashelle
every time I watch you guys I get the urge to rearrange my room lol
hahah me
SAME!!!
How wonderful that you have parents that are supportive!
Great job all around. The magnetic ceiling is ingenius! What a clever design!
Enjoy your weekend!!
xxoo
It turned out so great! I love that you also have normal person things like hand written labels on stuff.
Rechelle is so professional and fast👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

This should be in Rochelle's playlist as she did most of the heavy lifting. She's so talented!
Wow this was such a practical aesthetic upgrade!
This is beautiful. You took an eyesore and made a diamond. And you and your dad are precious. I love how your accent came out when you responded to him.
Dang purely functional spaces like that are the ones I appreciate most when they’re beautiful like that
I don’t know if it’d be too hard to get to it but they make water heater blankets that help insulate the water heater. I love Kelsey’s parents. They’re so sweet. 🥹
You and Rochelle did a wonderful job and it looks so good!
Ur dad is so Canadian!!!! The natural "aye" is adorable
Who’s with me and want to call that kind of shelf made by Rochelle the “Roshelf”?
The way your mom says fancy is the way you say it exact tone and all❤
Honestly mind blown!!!! Very awesome how you were able to turn this utility room into a lovely visual element that meshes great with the rest of the bathroom and home!!!!
Love your dad saying “aye” at the end of sentences and then you mirroring him haha! Very Canadian ❤
So glam and industrial. I love how you pull things together. Eeh
What a great makeover! All the features and ingenuity that went into the space are 💯! You make others want to learn to use power tools - thanks for the empowerment!
This project looks great and so practical! I wish I had a Rachelle in my life!! She is a joy to see in any SG vid.
When they drill with that drill guide thing its so satisfying !!
Your parent’s reactions are so precious 🥹
Bulk stores are the BEST! 🙌🏽
Love, love the laundry room! Makes me want to redecorate my as well.
I love how proud Dad is at the end! Great job :)
This is such a creative and useful DIY! Transforming a basement-like laundry space can make a big difference on the eyes = happiness 😍

I AM A LIBRARIAN AND AN AVID READER AND YOU CHOSE SOME OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS!!!!! 😍😍😍
So vining with this style! Think your dad was way more impressed. Well done ladies!
I wish we had refillable places in my area! I love that you have access to that!
The 26:26 time in this video is so satisfying!! Also, I love how this space turned out! 😊
This is an insane makeover, I was left speechless 😂 It looks like a fancy hotel suite now

One day I strive to be as good with a drill like Rochelle! At this point that's all that matters to me!
Omg your parents are sooo sweet!!! Also you sound more Canadian with them “aye” hehe love it!!! ❤❤❤

Tomorrow Tomorrow and Tomorrow is so good no matter how old you are, but if you are an 80s kid this book will hit so hard

Looks great, eh? 😂 Love your parents reaction at the end and the space looks amazing!

Way to go Rochelle! You've rocked it AGAIN! XXOO

Your parents are so cute and encouraging!
Such a smart & impactful makeover. 😍
So this is cute! Omg! I saw those baskets, l remember those. And I made some too, also still have them. Great job.
i was skeptical at first but it turned out soooo good I'm obsessed!!
Brilliant solution!
