Tell that ole timer congratulations I've been retired for 3 yrs enjoying every minute fishing alot of my time away. Since i retired I've broke my pb i don't know how many times, 30 lb for flathead and 50 lb on the blue is my pbs now.

I've been big cat fishing twice now, and just realized the reason I haven't landed one is due toe setting up the hooks wrong. I need to leave more of the hook exposed, and if using cut bait, I need to use smaller chunks.

The fish ate the hook. Your supposed to reach inside and unhook it. Watch catfish and carp channel, he has a good video on how to get the stomach hooks out. Good luck, and be kind to fish.

I’m looking at getting my wife and myself set up to fish the bigger catfish tournaments in the mid south and I’ve been watching a lot of videos to learn as much as I can. Who’s rods are you using in this video? I’ve been shopping for rods and it’s hard to find any in stock anywhere right now.
These are tangling with catfish extreme series rods, they are considered a medium heavy but more on the heavy side imo, good luck and thank you very much for watching

What is the red and green on the line you are using
That is the part I hate the most, when you have several rods out and one fish gets into two or more of them. The tangled up mess is a pain to straighten out, but that`s part fishing if you want the best chance of catching anything. Another great video, thanks for making it, and be safe.

That's 1 reason why I dont like casting out my line for the planer board, instead I drop it off the side of the boat and give it a little extra time cover any depth changes. I notice when I cast out my planer it gives the fish more line to cross my other lines
