I love making crochet garments but envy how a knitter's garments have such amazing drape and structure. I really am going to try the basics of knitting soon. This is absolutely beautiful!!!!!
I feel like that about crochet! Love the look of crochet! I am a knitter but trying to learn crochet. Going to try to knit this tank first. It looks doable.
Thank you for posting this video! I've been reading patterns for tank tops but seeing it makes everything so much more clear! You're a wonderful teacher and I appreciate that you show clearly how to do each row for the increases.
Thank you so much for this video tutorial! It was very clear and easy to follow and there weren't any mistakes or misunderstandable parts in the video nor in the blog, it was really professional and helpful. Thank you again for the explanations and showing how to make this knitted tank top!
I've been wanting to make some sort of wearable for quite some time and I think your instructions are one of the easiest I've found to follow so far. You've really given me the inspiration to give it a try. Thank you for sharing this beautiful top pattern.
I crochet but this year I finally taught myself to knit. So far I know how to cast on, knit and purl, the basics. This beautiful tank top would be a great way for me to learn increasing and decreasing. And also to get comfortable with circular needles. It really would be hard to miss with your detailed closeup instructions! Thank you for the inspiration (and the pattern)!
Thank you for this tutorial as well as the pattern!! My top came out awesome and iv received many compliments but most of all it’s super comfortable and I really love wearing it. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put in to what you do you’re a wonderful teacher
This is adorable. I just ordered needles and am going to learn knitting. I learned crochet last year and one of your sweaters was the first wearable I made. I can’t wait to learn and make this.
Thank you so very much , I am new to knitting and your pattern and directions are wonderful. I am so glad I saw this video ,I have subscribed and thank you again.
Thank you so much for these instructions and illustration. Your description of things is so incredibly clear. I’m a “basic” knitter, hats, scarfs, mittens, and now I can say that I can knit a top. You made everything so clear and easy to do. Can’t say thanks enough! (68 year old Sue in Orangeville Ontario Canada.
Thank you so much Sue 🙏🏽 I’m a beginner knitter myself but I’m so glad to share and encourage people to knit, it’s slow but it makes for some really beautiful and long lasting garments
oh my goodness! THANK YOU for this! I've been wanting to make a top like this for so long. I've dropped all my projects just to give this one a go. I only just started knitting garments, so this is perfect. P.S. I've been crocheting for years before I finally figured out knitting. :)
This is one of the very best knitting instructions I have ever seen. What a remarkable knitting instructional video. Please do more. Do you personal 1:1 knitting classes?
Ok, I’m still working on this. It’s looking really good so far. I use a crochet hook to gather stitches around the collar and arm holes to start the ribbing. When I try with the needles, they slip off. You have good dexterity to be able to do it. Also, you should make a “short” of your tubular bind off with the twisted ribbing technique. I had to rewind and watch so many times 😂. I hope mine turns out as good as yours ❤
Thank you so much for your video. Great pattern. TIL that cable connectors exist, and I ordered a bunch for myself! I bought several cables in increasing sizes for a raglan shawl with 600+stitches last year because I didn't know, haha.
Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorial and thoroughly explained instructions! I am a novis knitter but going to try and make this beautiful top, all thanks to you!❤
What do you prefer, knitting or crochet? I think that knitted clothing looks better than crocheted clothing, but crocheting is so much easier and faster!
You pretty much summed up how I feel about it. The stitches are just so different, it depends on what you’re going for. I think knitting is generally more wearable, but lots of crochet is too. The thing about knitting is it’s so much slower and every project takes forever so, I end up crocheting more. I love both though.
Normally i am a crochetter but i love the structure of knitting and i decided to start with this project. Until now i knitted 17 row but i have 70 stitches however i started with 58( now i am not sure maybe 68 vz otherwise it doesn’t seem possible lol) 😅
Your design is very pretty. I like the way you join the top of the garment. I think you need to specify in your written pattern that you knit row 69 till the length desired is achieved; I was following the written pattern and didn’t realize you were writing about the end of the garment with the twisted rib since you numbered the rows with out specifying for how long to plain stockinet. You mentioned the length in the video, but not on the written pattern. That bit was confusing.
Wow, this is so adorable. I'm still not great at purling. Do you think you can make a top-down raglan sweater or pullover where it is worked in the round so that there is no sewing of the pieces? Please please please... And thank you for sharing this tutorial with us. I really enjoyed it.
Now i feel encouraged n inspired to give knitting a 3rd try. Im a crocheter n found the knitting needles too long n awkward to hold as crochet hooks are short. So my plan is to get the short knitting needles like the one you are using.. Thank you for the clear explanations ❣🙂👍🏻

Do I need to buy the wool with gauge 21-22 stichesx or 19 stiches I hope you can answer my question because I would love to make this top.its great Thanks Laila

You’re very welcome, thanks for watching 😊🙏🏽 I know, it feels good to have all my work hanging in my studio. I never have any issues with hanging them, but I think it depends on the fiber you use. Acrylics and other synthetics definitely have too much stretch to hang for a long time, that’s partly why I always use natural fibers. Good luck I’m with the tank top, hope you enjoy it you get a chance to make it 😊🙏🏽❤️

Just to clarify: Does the 14'' interchangeable circular needle refer to just the length of the cord? Then that would be equivalent to a 60cm fixed circular needle ? Because the number in a fixed circular needle refers to the total length including the two needles, so 14'' cord + 2 * 5'' needles (the most frequent needle length) = 24'' roughly equal to 60cm 🤔?
