The Perfect Sig 320: What it Should Have Been All Along

- The Sig 320 has always been the internets "Problem Child" 9mm striker fired pistol. I honestly believe that most every inherent flaw the 320 has, has been fixed with the Brouwer Solutions m1811 grip module. Lowering the bore axis, changing the grip angle, and many more upgrades make this easily one of the most essential upgrades to the sig 320 to date. (in my opinion)

That's the thing that's great about the P320. Even if you think the factory version is kinda "meh" the aftermarket let's you turn it into something you can actually love.
"Perhaps the same could be said of all Glocks..."
spoken like a true glock fanboi!
That’s why it’s the true Glock competitor. Same same but different but still same
More like what sucka fat dong about the p320
Steyr would've destroyed the market since they've been in the FCU striker fire market since the 90s. They just really sucked at marketing in America and no aftermarket support since everyone was too busy designing a bufferless/piston AR during the early 2000s
I've had my M1811 frame for about a month now and it is by far the best feeling pistol I've ever held and shot. Brouwer did an incredible job designing this frame.
Then you’ve never held a CZ P-01. Its amazing
@@ProjectSerpo90Yeah. All these anonymous big talkers with no videos to back up their claims...
@ProjectSerpo90 I love mine but I also love my S&W M&P metal frame.
Do they make an m17 version?
What magazines size does it use
If you make a striker fired pistol go off with a hammer does that make it hammer fired?

The fact that you can see the pucker on that guy’s face with the half holstered/trigger exposed draw tells me he is sane. The fact that he did those draws anyway tells me he’s a team player. Approved safety violation 👊🏼
I absolutely love the grip on my Sig AXG Pro. The angle, the grips, the serrations, and the feeling of a good ol metal frame are perfect to me.
I cant believe you released this video today, ive been considering buying this frame ALL DAY. Thank you for pushing me over the edge
Had the Brouwer 1811 for almost a year now on my 320 absolutely love it!! Changed the gun for the positive completely!!
thank you for the dropping and hammering of the p320! Im so sick of people bashing it because of the gen 1 fcu. They fixed it so long ago and people still continue to think its just going to go off by breathing wrong.
i have a gen 1 fcg sig and upgraded it with the apex enhanced kit and coverted it to the xcarry frame and i love it. ive dropped it several times and never had a discharge [non safety model] i love the X frames with the 1911/2011 angle
It's the same reason that "Glock Leg" is still a term.
Not really, people hammer it because Sig deliberately hid the issue and then only decided to do a "voluntary upgrade" rather than a mandatory recall for a legitimate safety issue only because it would have had a negative effect on its contracts.
@@IgnizAnimaJust curious, I’m sure Glock had lawsuits similar to Sig, but did they actually prove it wasn’t due to negligence? Sig had a legitimate issue, but I’ve been on the Glock train for a while, that thing isn’t going off randomly (of course they’ve had 5 generations to fix their issues).
@@trentmckenzie343 Glock Leg was/is absolutely due to negligence, but everybody was blaming the firearm instead of the users for recklessly thrusting their firearms into the holsters without clearing to make sure nothing could trip the trigger. Any trigger safety firearm would have done the same thing, it's only because Glock was (and still is) so widely used that they were coined with the term and condition. That was the point I was driving at, I wasn't implying that Glocks had any actual issues, only that there used to be a perceived issue due to negligence and people not actually doing their homework.
The P320 had too heavy of a trigger which failed the drop test. They have since fixed that issue and if you happen to get a 320 with this issue you can have it fixed by Sig with ease. The biggest case of the P320 "just going off" was when an officer had it wrapped in a towel in his gym bag and something in the bag poked the trigger, which is negligence.
I seen the M1811 grip a few months ago and it made me really interested in building a p320 from the FCU up. I love the way it looks and all the reviews I've seen are really glowing endorsement for it.
I installed the Brouwer grip module about 2 months ago and it’s absolutely amazing.
Thanks for going over this Micah, I hadn't heard of it before and I'm going to get one.
I love mine as well. I have the 3.9 modern classic with an RMR on mine. Gray Guns and Brower go together very nicely.
I've had my M1811 for a little bit now and love the feel of it compared to the standard grip module.
Rdr gear did a vid on this module a few months back when they were unobtainium and i forgot about them. Im glad you reminded me
Glad you started a channel! Love the mix of seriousness, humor etc. Don't mean to compare but you've filled in that gap that got me into the fourguysguns channel. No one can really find that balance of humor seriousness etc and you found it
I absolutely love the 1811. Has been my carry gun for the last year... Still have all my arteries and testicles. It's a little mystery every time I carry tho
The slo-mo floss was a gang sign and declaration of war on all the other manufacturers. This video is a work of art.
A real live action M&M doing a gun review!! This channel is going places! 💪🏾🇺🇸
I love my M1811 grip. I shoot more accurately with that grip vs the stock grip or Wilson Combat grip. It’s amazing the recoil management that grip gives you.
girthiness-wise, how would you compare the two? I just bought a P226 legion which, compared with my WC p320, is more robust and feels better in hand for me. been curious about buying the m1811 but hesitant to spend another ~$300 (carbide + magwell version)
100% Love mine, Josh is a top G! Happy to see them growing!
Appreciate the review my dude!!😎🤘🏼
Thanks for the upload micah. Didnt even know these grip modules exsisted.

Great content as always. Thanks for posting.
works for me. thanks for the great footage as always
That's how I feel about my cz p07. It just feels! Grip, trigger, followup. Even the stock Irons find my eyes surprisingly quick.
Have p10c, got p07 recently. Fits my hand, most natural on target from the draw, and as someone who learned semiautomatic pistols from the late 80's , da/sa operation is what I learned on. Can also throw in the fact of p10c/p07 magazine compatibility
This video was recommended to me and I’ve never watch this channel before, I love the content and subbed 🎉
This grip module has been a true game changer for me and the p320
When I saw that module I got it immediately in the fde color. It’s so nice and feels so good

I also need a Sig 320 now.....thanks.
I didn’t love my 320 until I replaced the grip module with the x-carry module. Difference is day and night and it’s my preferred carry now.
I own a P320 X-Carry. The grip is one of the best , definetly better than the M18s.
Have the original P320 xvtac model and I love it. Never had any feeding issues or misfires.
I have 9 P320 zero issues with any of them
The m17 is the first gun I ever owned and I love it, the only thing I changed on it so far is the grip and I plan on getting a flashlight.
The Intro was 🔥🔥🔥. Epic, Bro 🤙🏾
Great promotion video- showing how slow you can shoot a pdp👍 Good job!
just ordered one. It's gonna have some stiff competition against my WC frame, but the great part about the frames being so modular is there's not much of a downside to try one vs the other.
LOL. Except the high cost. You can put a bit more money in and buy another gun instead of a piece of plastic.
@@littlejackalo5326The base module is $90. A bit more money and you get what, a Hi-Point? Well done.
Late comment but bought the 1811 grip as soon as this video ended. This grip modules makes the P320 the "perfect to me" modern 9mm pistol option.
I laughed multiple times throughout the review. Thanks. Looks like an awesome modification to the platform.
I bought a p320 .45 a few months ago, and just picked up a new M17. Definitely considering getting this grip

Your gun tossing skills are up there my friend!
I got the Gray Guns X full module fantastic addition to my m17
I love my m1811 cheap mod that makes the gun feel so much better
Friend of mine that's a big glock boi bought a 320 (Which really surprised me) and he loves it. Like to see him get his hands on the 1811 and see what he thinks. Personally, I like walther and 1911's but I'm willing to try them all. I have a 19 gen 5 and it's ok after putting a apex trigger kit in it but to me it still pales in comparison to the PDP. The ergos and trigger of the PDP just work better for me. I've picked up a 320 at the store and it feels pretty good. I really like the weight of them.

A NEW MICAH MAYFIELD VIDEO. YEEEET!!

Great vid. Thanks.
That slide is sick!
My favorite P320 grip modules are:
1. Tungsten infused versions made by Sig
2. Wilson Combat versions
But I have never tried this Brouwer grip module.
The Icarus Precision ones are badass but spensive😂
The X-ten grip module feels like it was designed specifically for my hand
@@doublepiedavid8908the regular x grip should be more like the XTen. The redesigned beavertail on the XTen makes it fantastic. The beavertail on the regular xgrip is awful. Too wide and sharply angled. It digs into my thumb knuckle.
How many others have you tried? If you have only tried 2 or 3, that's not super helpful.
@@Osprey1994 I've tried most of the grips made by Sig; but as I stated above, I have never tried this Brouwer grip module.
I'd probably like it since 1911s do have a nice grip angle, but I don't believe it's as great of a price as Micah states in this video.
It's over $100 just for the grip module with a magazine release which is about twice the price of the WC grip module; it's even more if you want the version with some texture on the grip that the WC already has. Add more for the flared magwell, and I don't see anywhere that you can add weights to it if you wanted to make it heavier for let's say a race gun which I feel like this grip module would be good for in practice.
The WC on the other hand has places where you can add weights to it like some of the Sig grip modules as well as the tungsten infused versions that already add weight. P80 sells grip modules for less too which I'm guessing are similar in feel to the P80 Glocks when it comes to angle and texture. I own a few of their Glocks, so I have some experience with them.
I'll probably end up getting a Brouwer to try out down the road because I love the P320 platform, but as of right now I'm still happy with what I've already got. That WC grip really feels nice in the hand even if it isn't a 1911 grip angle just due to ergonomics, and you don't have to pay extra to get a manual safety cutout like you do with the Brouwer. I don't run my P320 with a safety, so that doesn't affect me; but $20 for a safety cutout is a bit steep IMO. I'd probably be a cheap mf and just dremel it myself if I did.
Overall it's pretty cool, although a little pricey comparatively for a polymer grip module. I already have a race gun style P320 upper setup, and this might be nicer to shoot than the tungsten Sig grip module; so it could make a nice shooting gun that's a 1911 style grip angle without the 1911 grip safety (which I don't want) that you get with most 1911/2011s.
I love a competitive market, so I'm always happy to see more stuff available.
Pauls beard never disappoints!!!!!!with mustache rides hey hey
You the man Micha ,and keep that mustache tactical
It’s definitely gonna go off eventually
Looks pretty cool dude, I hope you have fun running it. I really think the Sig thing is kinda overblown now with the "fix" they did but I don't own one so I don't know however obviously it didn't go off unintentionally in this video.
Personally I'm gonna keep using my Canik TP9SFX Rival. That pistol is freaking sick dude and it comes with a whole bunch of good shit like a magwell and a REALLY beefy optics mounting system. Best one I've seen yet tbh. People are really, really sleeping on the Canik TP9SFX Rival.
I loved my TP9SFX until I used it in a pistol class. Apparently my grip doesn't allow the slide to lock back. Found out it does the same thing with Walthers. I really miss it because that pistol shot great.
You listened. Thank you.
Saw the intro and instantly subbed.
It's about time!!
The grip angle really helps it ND in a more natural direction.
Always loved Sigs!
It would be nice if we could get it at a price similar to what the Army pays for an M17.
Buy a few hundred thousand and they may cut you a deal.
They probably pay 4x what we do.cause ya know, government math.
@@andrewdavidson4643 Sig does cut the DoD a deal.
@@albow4oops5 it’s closer to 1/3 to 1/4, depending on which civilian model you’re looking at.
@@albow4oops5wrong in this account. Both the m17 and the spear are suspect af when it comes to their acquisition, especially the pistol. Sig undercut the hell out of the competition and likely stuffed some pockets
Thank you for lightning blading
When he said is it gonna go off, I felt that as a edc p320 guy lmao
I love how there was a push for everything to be polymer. Then the aftermarket world just keeps proving that metal frames are the correct path to stay on
Everything being polymer was a cost effectiveness thing. It's cheaper and easier to mass produce, and in all honesty, its plenty good *enough*. Aftermarket is a funny thing to mention, cause when people go the the aftermarket they are almost always looking for improvements to performance or customization right? Well what does any improvement come with? Increased cost. The glock was the gun that revolutionized polymer frame pistols. And it was literally only ever intended to be sold to militaries. Law enforcement and private security came after, then the civilian markets soon caught on, for the same reasons, cheap, reliable and plenty good *enough*. Of course steel frame is better, milled and machined parts will always be superior to plastic and stamped metal. But it's really expensive. I mean compare MSRP of any, not even the best of the best, just any, 1911 to a glock, sig, canik, taurus even. Hell even to any cz. And a lot of CZ's are still machined parts but its cheaper because Czech labor rather than American labor. Glocks were originally cheap but the popularity made them pricier than they should be. Even in springfields own lineup their 1911s are more expensive for the same reason. It just simply costs more, and typically you get what you pay for. But polymer works just fine. Even a taurus is reliable if you take care of it. Any gun is. Except Highpoints and rimfire.
Metal version of this is about to drop as presale.
@@maurelius135like how soon???
