Also, the loading time on the ps4 just takes you out of it. Every time you die, you have to wait for up to a minute, so it becomes mega stressful after a bit

I think it absolutely looks unreal! there aren't any other games that even attempt this. Will be buying for sure.
I personally feel like the game looks better docked then handheld for me. Maybe it's my 4k tvs upscaling or something but it looks less blurry on the tv.
Depends on what TV you play docked on as well. On my 720p plasma TV the game looks great, on my bigger 4k TV it looks awful. Either way it will be 720p, but running below that most of the time due to your demanding the game is on the switch.
I only played 20% of this game on PS4 Pro because... I don’t know I was not exactly convinced by the world of Witcher 3 but the fact I can play this anywhere I want now has put Witcher3 high on my Switch backlog list.
I had the game on PS4 and I’m loving playing on my switch portable. I don’t even notice the downgrade. It’s so easy to get plugged into this game and the hours just pass by. The graphics at 540p portable is the sweet spot for portable play. I’m glad they didn’t go lower in resolution.
Finally started playing this and it's everything I hoped for. Hard to believe this game is on a handheld. As someone who is old enough to remember when the original Gameboy came out, it's crazy to see something like this in my hands.
Im LOVING this on the switch. Im playing 100 percent handhend and i find myself playing this instead of code vein or borderlands 3 which are my primarys right now. I played mostly on my switch lite i did pop it in my bigger switch i can see why some people might want it on the bigger screen but i prefer the light for handheld gaming. My favorite game ever on my favorite handheld console. Win win
I’m glad I watched your video because I was tempted to by it digitally just for convenience and a current sale going on. No other reviewers talks about the included stuff with the physical version. The map and the compendium are huge benefits for a new player like me.
I agree. I'm going to play it on the switch as a new player and I'm excited. In 2022 but I have to give it a chance because of the legendary reputation.
I bought this game 2 days after it came out, threw Amazon $49 and change it was here in a day. Best decision made, when I first played I didn't know if I wanted to even like it that was when I received the game. Came back after like 3 days been HOOKED every since. Why you describe the natural progress of the game is so spot on.
I have this game on my ps4 pro, series x and as of last night my switch, I grabbed it on sale digitally for 50 dollars Canadian so I thought it was a good time to finally see how it is. It is GREAT in handheld, I can't stress enough what a technical marvel this is!
Great. This is coming from a person that has it for the PS4 as well. I’m also loving the mini card game Gwent, which I hadn’t explored on the PS4 version
red crimson102 Me neither at first but, I actually took some time to google tutorials. It’s pretty fun and now I can go after those side quests in the game.
I must agree this is an amazing accomplishment for cd project red. The time and care that they put into this version to make it compatible with the switch is nothing short of amazing. I could not be happier.
I really would love if they decided to port over witcher 1 and 2 from PC to consoles and remaster the graphics and systems because they would be warmly welcomed.
The Witcher 3 is 1 out of 2 of my most requested ports to have on the Switch. All I need is Fallout 3 and the Nintendo Switch will officially be my favorite console of all time.
What a technical marvel. And I'd love love LOVE to have this on switch! I played through it on the ps4, and arguably that is the better version when it comes to fidelity, but DAMN if I don't want to play through again on the switch. I feel like having it whenever I want it will make the game more fun to go through.
I've spent 700 hours on this game. Just between the regular game and dlc, then the game plus. Its one of my favorite games! I'm not sure I can buy it again though.
I’m happy everyone is enjoying it and I even bought it on Switch to support CD Project, however I can’t get over how it looks on both handheld/Portable. I’ll keep playing it on my PS4
@@imfake1116 exactly that, and the whole 'only play in portable' argument is also making me sick. If this was the 1st version released nobody would complain.
This only shows one thing. We need a Pro Dock that can actually give the console some extra power so this game can at least 900p native. Handheld I have no complains.
Complete Edition is half off right now. Bought it thanks to your video. I've never played a Witcher game and i have a train ride tomorrow so thank you!
It always pissed me off that they made this port but they never made a version like this available on PC. I swear if they allowed me to play the game in this state without buying a switch I would've done it in a heartbeat... I hate that they're doing these ports for that anemic weak portable tablet but not for weak PCs.
Can't wait to get new joycons so I can play this. Loved Skyrim most on switch because I could take it anywhere. Switch it on for half hour, switch off and next time I switch it on there's no load up and I'm on the exact same place as when I turned off. I've played Skyrim since day 1. Probably put 500 hours in all together and at least 100 of them on switch. I've also played probably 20 30 hours or more of the Witcher but I just know I'll enjoy it more and probably finish it on switch
Don't put it in sleep for too long. It can drain the battery fast. It's ok to put it in sleep for a short time though, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about. When I've put it in sleep for several hours, normally 20% of the battery goes.
So far the game is really fun on the switch. I dont mind the down grade in visuals as i think it still looks good and the stories and things to do make the game amazing.

Hi RGT! I really enjoyed W3 on my PC when it was released years back, but I was even more excited to find out that they were going to port it to the Switch as well! I honestly can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this! One thing I'd like to know from you since this is your first experience with the Witcher 3 is, do you feel that Geralt easily becomes over-leveled for the main story and questline that the game sometimes is a little too easy? Or do you feel that the combat is accessible yet challenging enough that if you're not careful when engaging enemies you can still become overwhelmed and killed? Thanks so much for your contribution to game commentary and review that you do!
I went and bought the game after your unboxing. I was going to wait for a sale because I don’t have time to play this game right now, but it is tempting to get physical games for $50 at Walmart right now.
Have it on ps4, bought it on switch. Was a little disappointed at first because of the nudity being censored, but after an update it’s at its full glory. This game is a masterpiece!
i love this game. played through the main story on stream and people were shocked how great it looked on switch after latest update that added graphic options to make everything look and run smoother. im thinking about getting a second copy of the game because i feel that this game will be worth money some day and since im a switch game collector having a sealed copy would be nice. i wish cd project red would port over witcher 1 and 2 so we have the whole collection, but people can dream right? i did learn that there are still some bugs in the game. some monster nests you can farm for certain items that will respawn after resting and makes it easy to farm for gold. some quests are also bugged around the triss questlines where when complete they still show as failed till you reload a save and figure out why it happened. this game is definitely worth buying tho and cd project red did a great job with this port. the music, the monsters you fight, the changing of weather, gwent the card game, the story, the voice acting all of it is great and just like skyrim this game is also addicting. even if you havent played this game before not knowing what its about its still worth picking up

Docked is at 720p ? Lol that's horrible
It's better on the ps4 pro
@@michaelmyersplays4992 and even better on xbox one x, and even better on PC but my PC sucks:(
Charles Coe and even better on a rtx 2080.
But none of those you can play portable. That is the only reason to buy this on switch is to play it portable.
Witcher 3 as a handheld game is 11/10! The fact you can play this on the go is monumental!!!
Finally started playing this and it's everything I hoped for. Hard to believe this game is on a handheld. As someone who is old enough to remember when the original Gameboy came out, it's crazy to see something like this in my hands.
you arent alone. im only 24 and its absolutely mind blowing how far games have come!
Every gamer owes it to themself to playthrough the bloody baron quest line
Agreed. Great character development.
I just got this game yesterday and it looks and play so good I can’t believe I can play this game anywhere I go
Im LOVING this on the switch. Win win
We have
Zelda Botw
Witcher 3
Saints Row 3/4
and Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag
All on the same system...and portable. Never thought I'd see this day
I’m glad I watched your video because I was tempted to by it digitally just for convenience and a current sale going on. No other reviewers talks about the included stuff with the physical version. The map and the compendium are huge benefits for a new player like me.
I agree. I'm going to play it on the switch as a new player and I'm excited. In 2022 but I have to give it a chance because of the legendary reputation.
I’m glad to see your...I’m glad to see your editing is on point
Definitely want to pick this up on black friday
Stardew Valley, Overwatch, Witcher 3 and Skyrim being on switch means it now has every game I regularly play.
Witcher 3 is a must own, no matter what platform you get it for. Love it. Also, that Astral Chain music for the video tho 👌🏽
Aye RGT 85 I agree with everything you said 100% , blown away with handheld mode
Would have bought that one if I didn't know the game too well. Waiting for my Alzheimer symptoms to get back to it.
Update to 3.6, turn off the anti-aliasing, turn off the depth of field, sharpening to max and you get a brand new game 👍👍👍
What does that mean? Will it get downgraded or lose fps?
I played this on the PS4 and finish it with all the DLC’s.. And I’m tempted to play it again on the Switch lol 😆 love this game 👏
I'm a true Super Mario and racing game kinda gal, but somehow this game convinced me to get it. Didn't regret it for a second 😊
This is a great game for the Switch. I’m hooked
Morbo42 how are the controls?
Great. This is coming from a person that has it for the PS4 as well. I’m also loving the mini card game Gwent, which I hadn’t explored on the PS4 version
@@mgoldstyles i have it on the x. I dont like the geent card game and i dont understand it
red crimson102 Me neither at first but, I actually took some time to google tutorials. It’s pretty fun and now I can go after those side quests in the game.
This is a great game...end of sentence
I must agree this is an amazing accomplishment for cd project red. The time and care that they put into this version to make it compatible with the switch is nothing short of amazing. I could not be happier.
Never responded to a notification so fast in my life.
Do the manual update (3.4)! Better texture, more grass and less blury! Its really impressive.
I really would love if they decided to port over witcher 1 and 2 from PC to consoles and remaster the graphics and systems because they would be warmly welcomed.
I still can't believe they got this to run on the Switch. Amazing what can be done with this console
The Witcher 3 is 1 out of 2 of my most requested ports to have on the Switch. All I need is Fallout 3 and the Nintendo Switch will officially be my favorite console of all time.
Interesting combo
Maybe even throw in Bioshock
Thomas Madden yessss
It's a good port but only the go lol
This game is meant to be played on beautiful graphics
MovieAfterReviews then wouldn’t the pc version be the only one worth playing?
@@imfake1116 exactly that, and the whole 'only play in portable' argument is also making me sick.
If this was the 1st version released nobody would complain.
This only shows one thing. We need a Pro Dock that can actually give the console some extra power so this game can at least 900p native.
Handheld I have no complains.
I’m soooo glad you got rid of that Jank intro.... looks more professional.
N1CO Nintendude Stevie Richards!!!!
Thank you. He looked like a weirdo smoker
N1CO Nintendude lmao
I loved Intro, it has its own charm😄
Артур Исаханов maybe if I was blind I would feel the charm
one of my favorite games of all time
Complete Edition is half off right now. Bought it thanks to your video. I've never played a Witcher game and i have a train ride tomorrow so thank you!
I cannot get enough of your videos recently keep up the good work man loving every video and the content has been top notch
Skyrim was one of those Switch games that looked better in handheld mode. I think the developers intentionally spend more time on it for that purpose.
Don't put it in sleep for too long. It can drain the battery fast. It's ok to put it in sleep for a short time though, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about. When I've put it in sleep for several hours, normally 20% of the battery goes.
I have the game digitally on PC and PS4 but I got it on Switch to have a physical copy and to play in handheld. It is really enjoyable.
When Nintendo beefs up their Switch dock the graphics will pop. Switch Dock Pro?
So far the game is really fun on the switch. I dont mind the down grade in visuals as i think it still looks good and the stories and things to do make the game amazing.
mmmaaannnnn you always have awesome content 💪💪💪 hands down your my favorite RUclipsr you always show alot of personality and such excitement for your videos Wich also inspires me. I hope the content I create in the future will be just as good lol 😂
Witcher 3 is one of the best games I have ever played and I am doing it all over again in portable mode on the Switch. Its a game for the ages...
hepwo91222 Same, 3rd time around now on my Lite. Experienced it on PS4 back on release and a high end PC a few years ago. Such an epic game.
Congrats on 250k subs dawgggg
Rgt 85 a Shawn omigod is Stevie Richards
drink every time he says handheld mode
Never finished it on ps4 so was worth starting fresh on the switch ! Love it 🔥🔥✊🏽
I went and bought the game after your unboxing. I was going to wait for a sale because I don’t have time to play this game right now, but it is tempting to get physical games for $50 at Walmart right now.
Witcher3 on switch-black magic
Couldn't believe how good it is on switch in handheld.
“And boobs!” I could think of anything else after the way that was said. Just hilarious.
Have it on ps4, bought it on switch. Was a little disappointed at first because of the nudity being censored, but after an update it’s at its full glory. This game is a masterpiece!
I picked this up and got it at walmart for $49.94 I love it also run's really well in handheld.
i love this game. played through the main story on stream and people were shocked how great it looked on switch after latest update that added graphic options to make everything look and run smoother. im thinking about getting a second copy of the game because i feel that this game will be worth money some day and since im a switch game collector having a sealed copy would be nice. i wish cd project red would port over witcher 1 and 2 so we have the whole collection, but people can dream right? i did learn that there are still some bugs in the game. some monster nests you can farm for certain items that will respawn after resting and makes it easy to farm for gold. some quests are also bugged around the triss questlines where when complete they still show as failed till you reload a save and figure out why it happened. this game is definitely worth buying tho and cd project red did a great job with this port. the music, the monsters you fight, the changing of weather, gwent the card game, the story, the voice acting all of it is great and just like skyrim this game is also addicting. even if you havent played this game before not knowing what its about its still worth picking up
Now We need witcher 1 and 2 ports and wind waker and twilight princess 😊😢
