I put the red hot cam in my 5.3 that’s in my 69 Camaro. Pretty awesome cam
Hows the street manners with it in a 5.3? U running stall converter?
@@EssMotorsports I have a t56 trans so no stall. My setup is the L33 5.3 with the 799 heads and I run an Ls7 clutch and 4.10 rear gears. This package really scoots. Street manners are fine when putting around but this setup really likes rpm and comes alive above 3500rpm.

Nice man! This cam is going to rock! U will have to stay tuned to the Channel as the head details is coming soon. I'll say the rockers just stock with trunnion upgrade.
Any vids on how the 6.0 sounds with the btr red hot cam?
Not yet... but I'm working on it. Still got a winters worth of work. With my exhaust and tune. I know it's going to be epic
@@EssMotorsports I just ordered my cam kit for my ls2 vette got Ls7 lifters and trays and double springs and trunion upgrade and all the goodies. Just waiting on the red hot cam and stall I got everything else. Hoping it's got some good chop to it.
@John-qz4cv Nice man! I think it's going to have some nice chop with the long exhaust duration. But still super streetable.
I’m doing an lq4 with the same cam, it’s my first build. Do you have to degree the cam? I’m not doing an adjustable timing gear.
I just installed it straight up. Dot to dot with factory timing gears
Check ptv clearance. I had to grind a little on pistons to make clearance for exhaust
@@EssMotorsports Im doing dished pistons from summit racing with k1 rods. But I’ll make sure to check that as well.

What heads did you run
Rec port ls3 style. I can't remember the casting number off hand but they are the truck version rec head that came on later 6.0 engines.
He won't put 500 horsepower on the wheels, I think you mean 500 horsepower in the engine
