Hi! You can use just a dry piece of paper towel. Also, no one ever mentions this is the nail videos I watch, but you need a topcoat that is specifically for chrome powder and to keep it in tact, with a regular topcoat, the chrome eventually wears out and “falls off” shortly after
You can also just cure the black polish for half the time 60s which is 30s then it will stick . That what I did and it stayed on the black polish . Hope that helps
I don’t think she showed but I know how to do this! Either wipe off the sticky layer after curing with alcohol or use a clear matte coat to top the pink part. Then only the black part is shiny - any gel polish (except matte, no wipe specified polishes) has a sticky layer after curing. Rub the chrome in. Clean up with alcohol along the smile line of the French tip on the pink part (where you don’t want chrome) and seal with a top coat
@@Diskidiva23 Even though the top coat she puts over the whole pink nail is initially shiny, it’s actually a Matte Top Coat….gel Matte Top Coats while wet, are shiny, but after you cure them, they turn matte. (So, keep in mind that the chrome is going to stick to anything shiny or has a tacky layer.) When she put the black gel polish on, because the rest of the nail was matte, the chrome only stuck to where the black was…so when she wiped the nail off, the only part that stayed was the part that WAS black and that was NOT matte. Hopefully this makes sense! 😊 (Also, if you look 👀 really closely on the 1st bottle she uses, you can see it says matte and again, that’s why the nail is matte not shiny immediately after she cures).

i did this, applying the matte top before de black polish, but my powder stuck everywhere!! and when i wipphed it off with alcohol to solve it, i took everything off, letting only a few sparkles everywhere that stood there forever. Helppp it never results well :(
Don't use matt topcoat. Just use buff 180/100 buffer, rub on surface after putting the base color which u chose. With the black French u put on. Then apply chrome make sure u rub perfectly, then put topcoat make sure also to lock it for french to stay longer
you can make this matte if you’re trying to do the chrome as well, 1: start with your color base, add the matte coat 2: draw the line for the French tip, fully cure, then seal the design with a NO WIPE top coat. 3: cure the no wipe top coat 15 seconds. 4: add the chrome, wipe the excess. From there you can add either matte or shiny top coat on the chrome. But I’d recommend sealing the chrome with no wipe top coat again

It's all in the prep buff nails little bit then wipe nails off with alcohol and after that nail dehydrator and then protein bond then do your nails. I've never lost a nail yet

Prep wipes and acetone on the sides
Buff the nail before doing french+ chrome
use alcohol on a lint free wipe! do not use acetone it will ruin it🩷

You need to topcoat over the chrome!

Why do they use black and not clear? Does the black help it look more metallic?
Because the black color base makes the chrome to shine bright. If you use lighter colors it'll just look peal shine, Not silver.

You reapply topcoat ONLY to the French tip you created on your nail

The powder doesn't stick to matte top coats. Only apply a regular top coat on the areas you want the powder to stick to.

when she cured the black it leaves a sticky residue that's why after you put top coat on there's the sticky coat but you wipe that off with alchohol

you can make this matte if you’re trying to do the chrome as well,
1: start with your color base, add the matte coat
2: draw the line for the French tip, fully cure, then seal the design with a NO WIPE top coat.
