Amazing plane, piloting, commentary and filming. Thanks for sharing such as cool plane.
Hey! Thanks for checking the channel out!! Really appreciate it 🙏
OH YEAH 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤩👍🏼
LOOKING FORWARD TO WATCHING 👍🏼
I like the way you flew a couple of patterns before making changes and help other flyers with ways to maiden and test. Nice.
Yeah this was a new approach to reviewing for sure. I like it!
Wow, super cool video! And good tipp at the end! I would prefer some bigger connector probably. I did not think the XT90 would melt so easy. The EC5 maybe because they aren´t so solid. But maybe the bigger AS150 or something like that would be better. Luckily the connector did not get disconnected while melting. I had that on a car with T/Deans and 6S but the car doesn´t falls from sky xD xD ... Super cool flights! and super nice model :)))))
Glad you liked it!
I was doing that XT90-EC plug cheat on a Flexjet. Turns out the contacts had been heating up enough to loose their spring temper. Then one flight on the first turn after takeoff, the airplane just shut down, completely. THe plug had completely lost contact, even though the housi ngs were fully engaged. Luckily I was in a turn pulling up elevator and the trim the jet was left with was a gentle nose-high free-flight glide into our grass parking area. The only damage was the gear doors pulled off in the grass.
Lucky to get the airplane back, I was also able to learn from that which wouldn't have happened if it went down out in the woods. No more cheating by using the XT and EC plugs together on high draw jets. Park flyers may be a different story...
Yeah can't do that with the high draw, hotter setups for sure!! You can get away with it on prop planes. But not edfs
I see..... NICE
BRILLIANT THANKS FOR SHARING 👍🏼
Woowww nicee!!!!
Thank very much!!!
Nice “BONE”! Looks sweet
Thanks for sharing. I’m a GA and commercial plane enthusiast……but for sure videos (and efforts) on your part make see I’m selling myself…and the RC industry short. Enjoyed this very much. Skill I just get t wonder at…..love it!
Lovely plane!
I want one more now since viewing this video.
I got a link in the description just for you!
Redesign: Battery tray is on rails, and can move battery 2 to 3” fore and aft via servo. Mixed to wing sweep. CG is then decoupled from wing sweep. BOOM.
I made a bay over the receiver so I can push it all the way back to fire wall
You've done some great video and flown some great planes, but this is by far your best video yet in every single respect. Well done, enjoyed that, thank you.
Thank you very much for the kind words! I try hard to bring the honest and open reviews!
There's weights in the wing tips so when the wing sweeps back the cg stays fairly the same
This was the 1st plane I said I wanted when my very 1st flying club asked me what is the plane you want the most. Without? the B-1B Lancer or "Bone". 1 of the most fierce and respected planes on the planet. Been waiting to see if any other companies were going to license it or if I'm going to build it myself, this is still worth buying in my opinion, to upgrade the servos and esc amongst other modifications
It's pretty great in its stock format honestly. New servos aren't needed but it's a hobby! It's fun to mod and upgrade 😃
Well done guys. Good flight. 👍
Dayum! ⚡️⚡️😳😳
stunning plane. always been one of my favorites. great flights/landings. thanks for passing along all the info.
Many thanks!
That landing was epic ! Great flying skilz. Nice bird.
Nice intro man 👍🏾
Thanks @markmcc21
At the 21:09 mark, the EC5 bullets are 5mm and the XT90s are 4.5mm bullets. The male XT90 4.5mm bullets (ESC) will fit inside a female EC5 5.0mm (battery) bullet, but the 0.5mm gap generates lots of heat. The 1st and only time I flew with that combo my 6S 4500mAh Genesis batt came down VERY HOT, and PUFFED. Ruined the battery and could have lost the jet!
This is why we leave all this in the video, some may never known that! Good stuff, appreciate the feedback 👍
❤
TJ will have to do a “shoot over your head and fall over backwards” contest with The Lovely Denise. Great flight!
Hahahaha we'll see if we can make that happen!!
That is one sweet bird!! Great landing!!😃
Great video guy's! Impressive in every way! I think I'd be hitting my muscle relaxers . That's a pretty high stress trim job.
The Bone!
You need to make a flight mode that you can adjust the elevator as the wing sweeps back. That's what I do if I need to do a flap elevator mix, instead of guessing on the ground I can do it in the air
I already have flight modes set up. 3 to be exact, and with this bird you will still be dialing it I
Nice job Bobby! Everyone needs to watch this video if they have one of these birds!
Thanks Eddie K! Just trying to help!
@@RCPlaneReviewerq😅
Nicely done, B. I like it.
Thanks man!!!
Incredible machine
It is pretty remarkable
What a greased in landing on that first flight!!!! Heck all of them. Nice flying.
Thanks 👍
Awesome! Nice job getting her dialed in ! 👍🏻👍🏻 sometimes it takes me like 5 or 6 flights to get a plane dialed 👍🏻👍🏻
Absolutely right on!
SWEEEEET!!! Need a Servo mounted Battery tray synced to the wing sweep!
Be a great idea for C.G.!!!
Hey Bobby nice flight, T.J. nice reference to the golf course. Those XT90 and EC5s I don't think are really compatible even though some people say you can connect them that way you really should not do it because of the arcing that occurs from loose contact between the two connectors.
You are correct. The EC5 male connector is smaller than the XT 90 and most likely where the heat was being generated from from lack of good contact. I suggest you use one or the other but do not mix them. I've seen this exact issue with flyers form my field.
Nice!
Subscribed. Awesome video and fantastic flying. I very much enjoyed.
Thank you!!! We really appreciate it!!
THAT IS COOL
This is my next plane for sure🤟
Awesome flight and beautiful Jet! I am saving up for one of these.
Good choice!
@@RCPlaneReviewer I believe so I have a couple years worth of EDF Jet flying, and this and the F-15 are my top 2 favorites. I have to select what I like the best because I am filling up my RC Room pretty good now and she looks to be a big Girl.
Beautiful machine and a great review !
Thank you!!! Appreciate it!!
Odd I am watching this on my tv, but I cant watch it on my PC yet. Awesome watching on the 75 inch though.
freaking sweet!
Nice work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video Bobby! I'd love to see a summary video where you share the rates, mixes and throws on all your control surfaces for your final setup. Glad I got the XT90 to EC5 adapter. I cheated like you during the basic setup, but no way I'd do that for a flight. I'm going with either an Eagle tree gyro or complete bypass on mine. She's built and setup with RC Geek burners installed. I just need to get the gyro installed and configured. Great demonstration of even experienced pilots working "10 mistakes high" on a new airframe.
Absolutely 💯 right!! It's a. Awesome flying plane
Good job Bobby. This is one of your best videos. I loved the way to showed everyone your journey to swept wings. This will definitely help people.
Thank you sir! 😊 much appreciated 🙏
Very nice flying Bobby.
flies good with a 6000s. i put a Zeee 6000s and pushed all the way to he back of the compartment. good point on elevator mix with wing sweep. what percentage on the elevator mix?
Great job. Really nice landings. I found its nice to assign a flight mode with trim independent to that mode and use trim to find the right amount for whatever mix then transfer it over. Then again i crash every third flight so 😊
Yesh this bird has 3 flight modes set for sweep and all the trimmings! Lol
Thanks, good job.
Thanks for watching!
Hey, I discovered why your plug is doing that. That is not a true xt90 plug. That is a cheap Chinese knockoff of one. I had the same problem and it actually blew my ec5 piece off of it and it kept arcing. The reason why is the wire was not soldered properly and it caused a very small place for current to flow which caused the plug to get hot and that's the reason why it arced every time I plugged in the cable. So do yourself a favor, cut off the xt90 and replace it with an ic5 which I did on mine.
Great work BOBBY!! Super informative from start to end. Thanks so much for all the info on the show tonight, all pilots appreciate the knowledge all us test pilots bring to this hobby, it truly helps us all, and quite possibly saves a lot of planes from a bad situation 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Appreciate you man!!
Nice video does anyone have feedback on how it flies with the stock Gyro
And using a spektrum radio what is your flap settings…did you go with the book for 80 0 and -80
I never really got my F14 dialed in for wing swept possition. That thing was a handful to fly that way. Its still with me, but i dont sweep the wings but maybe once. On a somewhat calm day and for only a straight pass. I can see me losing that bird doing all that. I want it bad. I feel I will just watch others with it.
Great info thanks, I’m on back order for one. Glad I saw your connector problem. Do you think cutting out stab for full throw really needed? Thanks 22:28
Honestly, it may need the extra deflection if rotating off thick grass. it does rub the side of the fuselage and will help stop any undue stress on the servo, too, but it's a super easy fix. Really appreciate you check us out!
Superb demo Bobby as always I've got mine coming in the next few days did you go with the jeremy solt cg ? Thanks buddy for putting up great videos on your channel 👍 Paul 🇬🇧
I did! It was dead on too! You'll like it! Greetings from across the pond!
@@RCPlaneReviewer Thanks Bobby keep up all the fantastic work you do your a credit to the hobby 👏👏👏
Good review guys!
Glad the connector help up! XT90 to EC5 is no bueno :D
Looked like plane wanted to roll left with wings swept back?
Appreciate it BD!
Great video, can you give a measure of the deflection you had to put on the elevator with wings swept. You said -80 on your transmitter but What is the actual mm measurenent from a reference point THX.
Question on the video with WILL what caused his MIG29 to crash?
@rcpilotwill
Great maiden and probably your best video yet. Entertaining and very informative. What is the wheel diameter?
Thanks, I appreciate that!! 1.5 inches
how much expo on your elevator?
I predict many of these crashing!!! more than any other jet :P Im glad you are letting everyone know this is a jet for experts. also on the connectors, id use matching. and possibly go with a higher amp connector.
Why? It looks so docile. Very predictable flight characteristics
Seems like something that draws a lot of battery
Well it's 2 edfs so yeah
Way to show the whole truth on what it takes to fly the B1B.
Appreciate the kind words!
La
When is your flyin?
November 25th!
with that stupid expensive gray lady i'mma need you to go on ahead and keep that Gyro in and hook up and turn on that battery telemetry. $700.... she may not need it but added insurance ain't never hurt nobody!!!
Lol 🤣
Smooth, Def no gyro
Has ANYBODY figured out how to set up the reverse thrust ?!?!?!
hahahah because us grass flyers dont really use/need it...its more of a thing for hard surface guys!
