    Momma of 4 here; Advice, you won't get your actual milk supply until a few days after. They get the liquid gold at first aka colostrum. You definitely won't need the pump but of course completely up to you ❤❤. No judgement at all ❤. Disposable diapers from Frieda are amazing!!! The peri bottle from Frieda mom is amazing. Also just the whole Frieda mom vaginal after care must have! The cooling sensation from the pads is phenomenal. You absolutely won't need any of the hair tools other than a brush BUT once again up to you 🤗. They supply everything you need for baby take her blanket, swaddle and outfit for pics ❤❤. But diapers and wipes are not needed at all. And you get to take all the diapers and wipes in y'all's room 😊

      And just in case take the formula they supply if it's something you end up giving her. And if you can exclusively breastfeed hats off to you momma!!! Just something to keep in mind they do feed a lot more when breastfed. Just so you know 😊 congratulations again 🎉❤

      If the baby ended up in the nicu she could pump colostrum for it.

    • @billiebrown6211

      It is also helpful to use the pump and ask questions if you have any, with the lactation consultant!

      This! I just had my little girl she’s 8 weeks today. Trust me when I say, get the Frida mom postpartum set. The Frida peri bottle is top notch and so much better than the one the hospital provides. It also comes with these phenomenal Cotton undies and those cooling pads are EVERYTHING after birth. I bought more pads and undies separate for the weeks after birth as well. I used both until 6 weeks after. I needed everything in it, truly. Also, get the frida mom belly band. And the hospital provides a pump and shows you how to use it. It’s the BEST pump! Use it if you have enough milk supply. You can also call the hospital and ask what they will supply for labor and postpartum when it comes to things for you and baby. When it comes to pillow and blanket from home, bring something you don’t mind getting dirty - trust me. Congratulations girl, praying for you and babygirl to have a blessed labor and hospital experience 💜✨

      I’m a momma of 3 (pregnant with number 4) and I didn’t use any of the Frieda Mom or Frieda Baby products. I found cheaper alternatives or just used what my hospital provided (tucks and dermoplast). Even the Frieda Mom peri bottle was a bust for me. My older kids used it as a toy instead. Haha!

    Congratulations silent follower here. Not a mom, but I’ve heard people suggest to bring a document folder to put all the documents you get at the hospital. That way it’s all in one spot. You can focus on baby and not be worried about losing important paperwork. Congrats again!

    Highly recommend bringing an extra long charger for both of you! Also, and a L&D nurse, I typically advise against wearing your own gown for labor because 1. It’s going to get suuuuper dirty during delivery and then your stuck putting that in your bag for 2-3 days before you take it home to wash 😬 and 2. IF you were to need an emergency c-section for some reason, the metal buttons are a burn risk due to the instruments we use in the OR, and getting that gown off is just one more step to complete in an emergency situation that adds time to us getting your baby out safely and quickly! 🥰

    • @xzAllisonxz
      @xzAllisonxz 8 месяцев назад +4

      Good advice. I never knew snaps were a burn risk if c-section were to happen.

    • @melissameinders2454
      @melissameinders2454 8 месяцев назад +3

      I second this. Just wear the hospital provided gown for L&D and wear whatever you want after that. Metal snaps are a nuisance in any hospital setting, not recommended. 😊 This baby girl will be one loved baby girl.

    As a mama to 5 I didn’t really take much when I went to the hospital with 4 of them and my 5th I had at home. One thing I will tell you is that if you wanna take it then take it ❤ there is nothing wrong with having extra. In worlds of my father inlaw “ I would rather be looking at it then for it “ ❤❤

    3rd time mama pregnant with our 3rd and I think you did an awesome job packing! Even with this being my 3rd time I’m bringing almost all the same stuff bc I like to have options and honestly you never know what kind of baby your baby will be! 1 thing I will say is you will definitely do alot of skin to skin with baby so when you were saying you don’t know what to expect as far as dressing her just expect lots of skin to skin and bringing your breast pump is great for a first time mom bc they can teach you have to use it and also make sure the flange fits your nips perfectly lol but other than that the hospital will provide all your healing essentials like demaplast, tucks pads etc and then you’ll want those at home as well so you’re double stocked even though you can bring everything from the hospital home! So excited for you guys🩷🩷🩷

    Mama of 2! Bring all the things if it helps you feel the peace you need going into this moment. I recommend bringing a folder of some sort to put all documents in to keep them safe and all in one place, socks, hats, baby mittens because they will want to be as warm as possible! Also, something that I didn’t know my first time but is quality info is to be careful wearing anything scented because baby girl can be sensitive to the scents & also didn’t know that babies can be allergic to flowers so I asked everyone to wait to send any floral arrangements lol congratulations & good luck!

    Cotton mittens for baby girl’s sweet little hands. A comfy pillow and soft blanket/ dressing gown from home for yourself. Oftentimes mums in labour can get the shivers and it’s great if you have something soft to wrap yourself up in. It makes you feel comforted too ❤❤❤❤

    You won’t stop staring at baby but try to get some rest. Also don’t stress about milk production in the hospital just latch and your body will do the rest ♥️. You got this!!

    Hey Sophia
    I'm a mom of 2 pretty girlies. You're doing an amazing job of making sure you are prepared. It's so precious to watch you and Taylor prepare. It brings back such sweet memories to me. The only thing that I can think of that you may need is a pillow or something soft to sit on for the ride home. You'll more than likely not need a second one, but in the event that there is a c section, a second pillow for your tummy so the seat belt isn't up again at you. Those things can stay in the car until the drive home, but it sure does help. I had both of my girls by c section. Obviously natural is good, but I just want you to know that if a c section needs to happen it's not as scary as you probably think. Just give yourself grace no matter what and remember to allow yourself to be cared for as well. Don't try to be a super woman. Take things slow and easy. Grace is a must for all moms and dads of every stage. Y'all have got this!!! God's hand is on the both of you and baby girl.💕💖💝💕💖💝💕💖💝💕💖💝💕💖💝

    ETA: also a nightlight/battery lamp was so helpful for me for the night feeds so I didn't have to turn on the bright room lights (and for the nurses too who visit like every hour) so my hubs and/or baby didn't wake up so much

Also onesies or gowns with hand covers! I didn’t pack any for my son and it was awful because I was so worried about him scratching his face! • @roxygirl0411
    @roxygirl0411 8 месяцев назад

    Hii! Momma of two! One thing that someone else told me to bring & was really helpful was some coconut oil. The baby’s first poos actually harden & can harden on their butt, when wiping it can hurt their little bums. If you put some coconut oil on their butts, the poop doesn’t harden on them & is easy to wipe off. I know it’s gross but it just made me feel so much better because my babies were more comfortable!! 10/10 recommend. Good luck! You got this!
    Also, the nail file is great to have. My baby came out with longer nails & the hospital refused to cut them because it’s a liability so I was stressed the whole time I was there with him cutting his face!

    I’ll only give one tidbit of advice, which I learned the hard way the first time. If you can hold off on using any bottles or pacifiers the first few weeks, it could help her nursing incredibly. My oldest decided she didn’t want to nurse after being given a bottle because the bottle was easier, so we changed it up the second time and didn’t have that issue. I pray for you all the best! 🥰😘

    Love the video.... I have two babies and the best thing I ever did when I had my second was wearing depends diapers. They were so comfortable and I felt more secure. Another thing that they did not tell me when I was a first time mom, is that the babies will possibly spit up a lot of junk so do not be scared of that. Most bassinet things at the hospital incline so if yours does, please do it!

    Not sure if you mentioned this but chapstick!!! It may seem unnecessary but honestly I forgot it the first time I was in labor and regretted it lol with all the breathing you do it’s really nice to have! Also, I feel like so many people told me not to overpack so I didn’t and I regretted that too.. I’d rather be over prepared and have everything I need rather than stressing out like I did last time cause I didn’t have certain things. I’m 39 weeks pregnant and bringing more with me this time! Goodluck with your labor, praying everything goes well for you and baby ❤️❤️

    Just had my first baby this past august 🥰 I found the lanolin nipple cream too thick and hard to use for breastfeeding- the earth momma brand was WAY more gentle as a first time breast feeding mama. Otherwise, everything is amazing!! So excited for y’all 😍

    We brought little gifts for the staff that helped us during my labor and delivery! There’s plenty of adorable ideas to choose from and they greatly appreciated it.
    I also packed a premie outfit and a 0-3 month outfit. You never know what size your baby will be and sometimes NB doesn’t fit.
    My first baby ended up needing premie and my second fit the NB, but my friend’s baby came out needing a 0-3month!
    Like you, I always say “I’d rather overpack than under pack”
    Praying for a safe and healthy delivery of that precious baby girl 🤍🩷

      Also want to add that “water wipes” are great for meconium!
      We used those in the first few days and loved them.

    Earth mama perineal spray is amazing if you tear and/or have hemorrhoids from pushing! Also, zippered onesies are so much nicer than buttons bc they are just so much less work than matching up the buttons.

    3 time mom! I brought a reusable bag like from Marshall’s so it’s foldable because you usually leave with lots of stuff the hospital gives you. Also hand lotion, chapstick, and a blanket and pillow for Taylor!

    Also my nurse told me to run the ice packs that they give you under water really quick(just swipe in under) & it was a GAME CHANGER!!! It made them so much more cold which is a MUST at first!!!💓💓

    Chapstick
    Pony tails
    We kept baby dressed in the hospital for temp purposes. We went through a lot of bamboo sleepers in that first 24 hours. Probably 4 different ones from learning to eat (messy) and diaper changes where she peed everywhere. We also took some copper pearl swaddles and even the nurses commented how you could get them so much tighter and it was really nice to have them.

    Mommy of 3 here. Always keep in mind that you could need a c section. Definitely bring adult diapers, was the best thing I brought!! Bringing your own undies is great because hospital undies SUCK. bring your own bedding if you want a comfy pillow and blanket. A must have for me was a fan! I was dying sweating. And a little sound machine. Good luck hun.

    I would definitely bring disposable diapers! They were a life saver and kept everything tucked in so well! Also I would bring a tube of aquaphor. It will make getting off that first, sticky miconium baby poop so much easier! You look prepared and ready to go - you got this mama!

    I am so excited for you!! I am also a first time mom and just delivered in October! I would buy the Depends disposable underwear and bring them to the hospital! The underwear and LARGE pad combo at the hospital is so uncomfortable. They are also wonderful to use when you get home from the hospital as you will continue to bleed.
    Wishing you all the best!!!❤❤

    If you're concerned about wrinkles, try Downy Wrinkle Release spray. Just mist, stretch out the fabric & smooth out the wrinkles with your hands, then hang to dry. I think it's well worth it to bring the pump to talk over with the lactation consultant, as new devices can be tricky. You're getting closer! How exciting 🥰 I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well, as does your delivery & after too.

    Definitely bring the pump with you. I didn’t need it with my first, but with my second he was a month early and had trouble latching. My mom was able to bring my pump to me since we had a 3 day hospital stay and I was able to get my milk supply going without a successful latch from baby.

    Mom of 3 here ,Not sure if youve been given this advice yet ( but this is the best advice i was ever given having to do with the hosptial)
    There will be a.drawer full of wipes,diapers and burp rags my advice, take it all!! Hosptials are stocked up on baby supplies they re stock after each mom. When j delivered my first baby the nurses told me to stock up and take it all😂
    Also if you need more pads/recovery supplies just ask! Most nurses are happy to grab you whatever you need
    I am so excited for you and this exciting time! Having kids are a beautiful crazy journey
