Great vid Jon. I got one for xmas and came here looking for a solution to the counting problem as well. I ended up marking every 5th line with a sharpie for easier counting. I got the #1-30 version because I have some truly obnoxious mouthpieces. Turns out my flugel mouthpiece has a #7 throat! O_O

Would a tiny elastic band on the tool work to help mark the throat? Or a plastic ring that can slide along the tool? Push the tool in, then slide the ring down until it hits the bottom of the cup, then pull out the tool?

I picked up the 30-1 tool. I tried it on various mouthpieces that I know the back bores on (including Frost mouthpieces). Would you say it might sit differently with the same throat depending on the cup shape? Thanks, great video btw.
