Peter, thank you for the very informative and thought out presentation on trumpet. I’m a Getzen player but your mouth pieces are super nice looking and your explanation of its design is very interesting. I don’t know if I will be in your neighborhood any time soon, but I would love to visit someday. Best wishes. Larry Tscharner
I’ve played dozens of horns, but I’m not much of a gear head. I used the same Bach 43 throughout school, college, “professionally”. I tried a Blackburn C once and it blew me away. It was so awesome that I still remember how it played. I’m very happy to see that Blackburn horns continue to be built with such dedication.
despite my tacky joke, this is a wonderfully informative video. Thanks for posting it. (I did get to try some of these trumpets at ITG and was very impressed).
Wonderful video. So nice to hear such detailed explanations. I felt like I just had a private tour. I look forward to playing my new Pickett trumpet MP!
I've never heard a breakdown on a mouthpiece physics as you have explained it and I think that I will definitely be contacting your business .I've played on the same one and a half c mouthpiece for 40 years and it's time for a change. But not if I'm going to lack endurance.
Thanks for this! My C is one of the Blackburn trumpets you made - it's the best trumpet I've ever played and it's a joy to play! Thank you!
