Furniture items extend the length of your rested bonus, so adding a deerhide rug next to your bed gives you an extra minute, make a small table and add a banner above your bed, all these will increase the duration of the rested. You do need more chests, if you use the small floor piece (1x1) above one of the chests you have placed, the game recognises this as a floor and you can place another chest on this floorpiece, allowing you to stack chests.
Copper goes deep into the ground, think of a mushroom shape, large flat top that tapers down, in multiplayer it's worth digging them out, but in single player if you have enough copper deposits in your area of the Black Forest, then just mining the top of the copper should be enough for what you need, it's something to think about.
Don't bother with the Cartography table, it's a way to share areas you have explored with your friends in multiplayer. When you come to build a ship, make sure you make the Karve and not the raft, the raft is pretty useless for lengthy journeys. Now you have opened portals check them out, it will give you interesting travel options. Don't forget the cultivator and the cooking pot, better foods will help with health and stamina. You are progressing well though and it's fun to watch.

Oh wow, thank you so much! I know it can be hard to watch a new player especially if they get stuck so I appreciate the advice!

@@SnolphGames Most of us 'veterans' love to watch new players and offer tips/advice, I love Valheim, but I will never get back that experience of first time playing when everything I encountered/explored was so new!! So it's great to watch new players, it's like living that first time experience ourselves when we knew so little about the game and we made mistakes and messed up/died a lot 🤣 So I like to offer advice/tips, things I wish I knew when I first started, I will try to keep it none spoilery though.

Its always bittersweet when you can't experience something for the first time again, so I'm glad to be that for you!
