I've learned recently that keeping carrots in water in the fridge makes them last SOO much longer! I live alone so it's hard to use everything quickly, I'm always trying to find more ways to keep food fresh for longer, thankyou for the video :>
@@Mer______0143 yea, like I have a little rectangular container that I put my carrots in and fill up with water and I just put it in a corner of my fridge where I won't spill it
@@Noloutar I just wash them although you could probably peel them too if you want, that would make it one less step when cooking lol and I try to change the water every week
Good planning is so necessary and helpful. Since i planned ahead of time for our weekly trips to grocery stores and learnt how to store the food correctly, we produce less food waste! Like, much less than before. I also love meal planning. My favorite is Around the World Day where we eat meals from other country. Banh mi from vietnam, miso soup from japan, seafood paella from spain, chicken adobo from philippines etc.

Great fridge organization. I've started "canning" and drying a lot of my food because I order large organic amounts from crowdfarming (mostly fruits). It can be stored longer that way and dried apples and pears make great healthy snacks!
I love that you addressed the issues of food waste. It’s not just wasteful, but creates toxic waste in the environment. Most people, even I, didn’t think of it in the past. There is no better time than now to be a part of the solution. Great video.
