I love ❤️ this song 🎶 even though I don’t understand the language. A roommate from Finland 🇫🇮 introduced it 2013 in Atlanta GA USA 🇺🇸 before moving to Boston MA . I’m still here listening to it. Respect 🫡 ❤
I know Finnish is supposed to be really hard to learn, and the country is too cold for me anyway, but when I hear it sung so beautifully, I want to learn it.
Was going to say that mostly nowadays here is in winter 0 to -10 but obviously even in small country like finland temperature is lot different in north and south finland since 2014 here was places with under -30 degrees. Didn't find any proof but for my memory 30 years ago here was like mostly -15 to -30 degrees at winters. Coldest days were colder than -30
Still it's a totally different environment from my country Brazil for example. The state where I was born, Ceará, is 30 Celsius the whole freaking year. I agree, Finnish may be really difficult compared to the languages I know or the ones I'm learning but when I hear it sung in such a marvelous way I can't help but desiring to learn it :)

Here is how to say it in rally english: At night again I went to the balcony to sleep, so he could be closer to me From my bed I could see the sky, I began waiting, to see a shooting star They say that if you see a shooting star, then you can wish for anything At night I whispered a wish up to the sky I wish the wind started blowing soon Wind, blow where my darling is Play a while with his hair Tell him my love, tell him how I miss him Tell him, I'm still waiting for him The night was calm yesterday but soon anyway The wind breath and I got a feeling Someone was moving near me touched my cheek I felt a familiar hand at my skin And I didn't waver anymore but I knew, that I could Fall asleep like a small child The air we breathe is all same air And under our feet is same earth Wind, blow where my darling is Play a while with his hair Tell him my love, tell him how I miss him Tell him, I'm still waiting for him
Hello from Indonesia ! I know a Finnish girl for last 5 years and I remembered when I asked her " what song do you like the most ? " and she introduced me with this one. Even I didn't understand what the song told about at that time, still I fell in love with the song and jenni's voice. Pidän todella tästä kappaleesta
It is about of from girl, fiance, stars, shooting star and wind (tuuli) messages. Almost poetically. She misses her fiance behind the far fells, goes to sleep out on the balcony to be closer to him. Sees stars, story about shootin star. And then hopes the wind (tuuli) would take the her message where the fiance is. Then wind (tuuli) bring the message back from behind the far fells and someone nearby feeling touching his cheek. No more doubting to fall asleep like a little child... Then! The air we breathe is the same air and under our feet the same land. Wind the wind (tuuuli) there he is and play with him hair. Tell him my love, tell him how I miss him. Tell him I still miss you.

Wow this song has a kind of magic. When I heard the song for the first time, I was fascinated. I have to say the fescination has been lasting :) I don't understand the words but this is a power of music, sometimes you don't need to understand words you just listen and appreciate the beauty of a song. Greetings from Poland!
She goes to sleep on the balcony to see the stars. She wishes that the wind would take her to her loved one. She thinks she can feel his breath in the darkness. Refrain: "Tuuli tuule sinne missä muruseni on" maybe translates into "Oh wind, go find and touch my loved one!". Greetings to Poland, I visited Triple City in July, very nice!
This song tells of loving and waiting somebody that is far away. We have still the same sky, wind and earth under our feet. Finnish Lyrics are very beautiful.
I've listened this song at 2011 when a friend of mine, a finn died. Today I listen it for Alexi Laiho. I guess Finland will never stop breaking my heart. Or whatever left of it.
***** hey, thanks for your remark, it's my mistake actually. Sorry. Frankly saying, I used to Cyrillic so Roman alphabet looks like Martian to me.. )))
Absolutely breathtaking song, have always tears in my eyes reading the lyrics. Breathtaking singing, breathtaking singer ... and after all, so beautiful language. With love from Czech Republic
Finnish is amazing language. Difficult, mysterious, with long words... Try to close your eyes and listen this beautiful song. I do not understand finnish, but I love how it sounds :)

My native language (Faroese) does that too in certain circumstances, but it doesn't sound as cool or natural as it does in Finnish. :) We don't "roll" the r's in normal speech, but it does happen when we want to put emphasis on a certain area of speech or during singing to increase the length of a word, and stuff like that. :)
I’m the only person in my close family that doesn’t at least speak some Finnish, so I suppose I found it quite easy to learn songs like this because I’ve heard the language throughout the years. My parents used to speak it to eachother when they didn’t want me to understand what they were saying but neither were completely fluent so I never learnt, wish I had! Such a beautiful language ❤
I took a DNA test last week & found out that i'm 2% Finnish. So i said,.."What the hell is Finnish?" I know nothing about this country or the people, so I decided to hear a song, any song & I can honestly say that I feel a connection with her in this song although I don't know what the hell she's saying. I LIKE !
+demetrius greer .. maybe you should come and explore this culture... i do not say it's easy in any way and we are somewhat quiet ... maybe even shy... but when you get to know us... well... then you can make your decision for being proud your Finnish genes... or not.
@@kimreace yes but Finns and Estonians are both European nations. And hungarians are mongols mingled with Austrians since they came with the horses from Mongolia.
@@maryoo7131 No hungarians aint mongolians, when you should get your information right. Hungarians lived with the altaic people to move into Hungary. Not mongolians.
Doing my Post graduation in Finland. Trying to learn Finnish but its being hard for me but my soul and each veins understands the Finnish Music . After two years i may return my home but i will miss it
One of them (Quenya) is based ob´n Finnish, and strongly on Latin too. Some oddities he found in long Finnish words, he put into the Entish. We don't hear that in the films, but the book has a few 'clips'. Quenya is for the Middle Earth people a bit like Latin is for us Europeans and Americans (of the New World). The one we usually hear on the films, is mostly based on Welsh (Sindarin). Well, the sound structure of Welsh (and Irish etc.), not the grammar, meanings or vocabulary - at least not very much. Sindarin is the 'Elvish' they use daily, those who can speak it. And there are some other Even languages, like what most of the woodland Elves in the Hobbit would speak.
+Paola Zunico Okay. Here you go.:) Missä muruseni on? = Where is my darling? At night, i went again to the balcony to sleep. So he/she would be closer to me. From my bed, i can see the sky, i started to wait, that i can see a star flying. They say that if you somewhere notice a shooting star, you can then wish for anything. At the night, to the sky i whispered a request, i wish the wind started blowing soon. Chorus: Wind, go and blow there where my darling is. Play a while with his/her hair. Tell him/her my love, tell him/her how i miss. Tell, i'm waiting for him/her still. Calm was night yesterday, but soon anyway, the wind blew and i got a feeling. Someone was moving near me, touched my cheek, i felt a familiar hand on my skin. And i didn't doubt anymore, i knew, that i can, like a little kid fall asleep. The air we breath, is the same air. And under our feet, is the same ground. Chorus x2 Wind go and blow there where my darling is! If i'm right, this song was made for dead children... but i hope you like and understand my translation.:)
Came here because I've heard this song on the twitch stream of a Finnish gamer (helllo Flamu) and thought it's awesome. What a fantastic world we live in... Greetings from Germany
I love this song. It has been 4 years since I listened this song for the first time. I am from Indonesia but now I am in Illomantsi North Karelia for my short visit. I live in Joensuu but I will leave Finland once my research has done.
Tuuli tuule sinne missä muruseni on?
They say Finnish is a tough language...but Your voice make Finnish sounds smoother and "sexier" than French and so very sensual. My Finnish wife translated this song and I became an instant admirer.
Pronunciation is rather easy and vocabulary is relatively small once you learn how to manipulate word roots. But the grammar is very complex and totally different from Indo-European languages, meaning that you have a very steep learning curve in the beginning and it gets easy only after that.
This song, Jenni and Finnish language take me to the the other world... When I hear that music, I`ve got a feeling like I was on some fairy tale... My dream world full of mysteroius creatures... This is not my first Finnish artist, I also love Happoradio, POTF, and I`m impressed - such creative people :) Respect Finland! And warm greetings from Poland :)
If you guys liked this her, I bet you would like Johanna Kurkela even more. She's a Finnish singer too. I haven't heard a voice more beautiful than hers.
Johanna has a sharp and sweet voice. Jenni also has a lovely voice but it is not correct to compare them because both are beautiful and talented although Jenni's voice is powerful and thick. Only singers are compared when they have the same style and similar voice tones. Also Johanna's melody is usually softer and more acoustic than Jenni's.

I've never heard anything so beautiful, she is amazing, her voice is amazing. I have no idea what she sings but she does it beaulifully. mina rakastan this song :)
She sings about a loved one, who she has lost. "Blow the wind there where my sweetheart is". Not quite sure if it is a man or possibly a child. The words make me think that this could also be a song from a mother to a lost child.
Suuremmoinen toteutus lauloit sydämeni syvyyteen ikävöin häntä rakkaudessa kaipaus romanttisessa maailmassani syvenee vaikka hän ei mua rakastaisikaan. They’re both phonetic languages. You may be able to read Finnish aloud without knowing the words because the letters are pronounced the same way.

To me finland is the most boring cold country ever the people here are so rude and quiet i cant wait untill im 18 and i can move away
I can barely understand the song, coming from Estonia. But this is truly the most beautiful song I’ve heard.
My great grandparents were born in Finland and I've always been fascinated with my Finnish heritage
I can see how JRR Tolkien was inspired by the Finnish language when creating the Elvish language in his Lord Of The Rings universe :)

And Jenni looks like Liv Tyler. :)
JORDII Same. And it's so fucking cool when I heard about that because I am a Finn and Lord of the rings is my second favourite movie series after harry potter.
True, Quenya was mostly based on Finnish.
Here is how to say it in rally english:
At night again I went to the balcony to sleep,
so he could be closer to me
From my bed I could see the sky, I began waiting,
to see a shooting star
They say that if you see a shooting star, then
you can wish for anything
At night I whispered a wish up to the sky
I wish the wind started blowing soon
Wind, blow where my darling is
Play a while with his hair
Tell him my love, tell him how I miss him
Tell him, I'm still waiting for him
The night was calm yesterday
but soon anyway
The wind breath and I got a feeling
Someone was moving near me
touched my cheek
I felt a familiar hand at my skin
And I didn't waver anymore
but I knew, that I could
Fall asleep like a small child
The air we breathe is all same air
And under our feet is same earth
Wind, blow where my darling is
Play a while with his hair
Tell him my love, tell him how I miss him
Tell him, I'm still waiting for him
thank you.

For a Norwegian this is yet another hidden Finnish treasure. Lovely!!

magical language, perfect voice, touching melody.. too good to be real..
Wow yes
I love this song, a Hug From Memphis, Tennessee!!
I've listened this song at 2011 when a friend of mine, a finn died. Today I listen it for Alexi Laiho. I guess Finland will never stop breaking my heart. Or whatever left of it.

Awesome song! I like how Finnish sounds and -Jennie- Jenni just charmed me.

kernowrock555 sorry, Im a human being from Russia. So I'm afraid we need to divide -Jenny- Jenni in two parts. ;)

Very. On both accounts.

And beautiful melody ❤💔... Hei Nelson, me gustan tus videos, saludos!
I love how she "rolls" the letter "r". :)
Perkele! :D
//Swedish does that too. it is such a sweet sound
My native language (Faroese) does that too in certain circumstances, but it doesn't sound as cool or natural as it does in Finnish. :)
We don't "roll" the r's in normal speech, but it does happen when we want to put emphasis on a certain area of speech or during singing to increase the length of a word, and stuff like that. :)
***** I know. Doesn't change the fact I love how she says it. :)
That's what Finnish requires in most cases.
What a beautiful language 😍
I’m the only person in my close family that doesn’t at least speak some Finnish, so I suppose I found it quite easy to learn songs like this because I’ve heard the language throughout the years. My parents used to speak it to eachother when they didn’t want me to understand what they were saying but neither were completely fluent so I never learnt, wish I had! Such a beautiful language ❤
love from estonia... jenni is so beautiful. gotta love finns :) :3
Estonian language is similar to Finnish but I dont know but both languages are the same family.

@ClandestineOstrich Yeah, there are. They are called 'Books' :)
The most beautiful language 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲

Chorus:
Wind, go and blow there where my darling is. Play a while with his/her hair. Tell him/her my love, tell him/her how i miss. Tell, i'm waiting for him/her still.
Calm was night yesterday, but soon anyway, the wind blew and i got a feeling. Someone was moving near me, touched my cheek, i felt a familiar hand on my skin. absolutely beautiful. sending my love in the wind all the way from South Africa
Tuuli tuule sinne missä muruseni on?
Tuuli tuule sinne missä muruseni on Leiki hetki hänen hiuksillaan Kerro rakkauteni, kerro kuinka ikävöin Kerro, häntä ootan yhä vaan
If you guys liked this her, I bet you would like Johanna Kurkela even more. She's a Finnish singer too. I haven't heard a voice more beautiful than hers.
She has a voice I can't even find words for, shes hm I shiver so beautiful voice Johanna have.
This song alone is the reason why I'm learning Finnish
The Finnish language is so rich that it cannot be translated into another language.

yeah thats true .. i also dont knoe what she says but i love this song
She sings about a loved one, who she has lost. "Blow the wind there where my sweetheart is". Not quite sure if it is a man or possibly a child. The words make me think that this could also be a song from a mother to a lost child.
