What was I doing in 1992? I was a greasy haired teenager in a Nirvana T-shirt, listening to this.
I was 8 years old and pretty much the same as you and not much different today lmao
Word bro! Me too!
this is literally me right now.
@@ngc6603 Ha! Same age as me.
in 1992 i was just born lol and i fucking love radiohead
I really love the original version “so fucking special” explicit versions always display that real raw emotion. Dope reaction. This song is so sad and relatable
It's a timeless song. It crossed races, genders, and everything because we all feel this way at sometime at our lives. This includes the popular kids who hide it. I'm in my 40's and this song brings me back to my youth being the weird depressed brown kid in goth clothes.
In '92? Freshman year of high school... Listening to some of the best bands ever.
#Preach

Prince did a cover of this song at his Coachella concert that was captured on video and posted on RUclips...who immediately tried to take it down. Radiohead was so impressed with his performance of it, they saw to it that video was put back up. Amazing performance with some amazing Prince guitar work to go along with it. Well worth checking out....Creep..Prince....Coachella..
Yea that brought me here
I was there
The story I heard was that Prince wanted it taken down, but Radiohead said that it was their song so they could leave it up.
I loved when Prince did it
Tom Yorke's great vocals and a wonderful iconic track from back in ''92 still givin me chills man. Great choice!!
So glad u did this song!!!! I absolutely love his voice!!!! Always get chills when I hear it!!! Thank u!!!
So.. if i remember it right... He wrote this song about a specific girl he knew... but she rolled with a different crowd. And he was extremely insecure about himself and what he thought others saw him as being (a creep) and ended up never speaking to her. Later, when Radiohead got successful, he said one night he saw that same girl staring at him at a show from the crowd and it unnerved him so much he almost couldn't sing the song. HE still has never spoken to her.
Sonic Pebble If that’s true, I wonder if he ever got the courage to talk to her. It was obviously a sign of sorts. Sometimes it happens. I will be doing my thing and out of the blue I get a strong, magnetic feeling to talk to some person who is in my field of vision.
From what I understand he finally got the nerve to tell her how he feels about her, she freaked out and ran out. That's where the part in the song where he says "She running out the door.'
In 1992 I was in my 3rd year of college. Radiohead was one of my favorites. My favorite Radiohead songs: The Bends and Street Spirit (Fade Out).
Allison Jae First year in college for me. The early 90’s were the best of my life at that time.
Street Spirit will rip your soul out.. Same as ..Exit Music to a Film
Wow. Thats when the frontman (lead singer) wrote it too. Lol he was in college and it was how he felt about his crush.
Oh my God I love that song street spirit (fade out). It's from a brilliant album.
"what were you doing in '92?"... Well, I was 4, so I was probably stuffing crayons up my nose🤷♀️😂
Ha! Hiding the evidence after coloring the walls. Nice😂
@@wheresatari6242 shhhh! My parents still don't know it was me! 😂
@@Celinder1985 I still have crayons in my nose-.- *whispers and looks around* They're always watching👀🖍
@@wheresatari6242 you made my day! Thank you kind stranger! ❤️
@@Celinder1985 *takes bow* No problem, milady. I aim to please😃
This was a song of my early teens...good times and no worries back then
I love this song!!!!!! This is the radio edit... listen to the regular one when you can. Its better, imo
the live version is epic as well, someone synced the hq audio with the original video and it sounds great
@@quietgiant474 very true
The live Acoustic version is amazing too
Exactly what I was gunna say
Fuck yea!
What you said about taking a shot and have confidence, i feel that so strong lately. Few months back i took a shot, asked a woman out i felt i had zero chances with and was blown away when she said yes. All the love fam, this song never gets old I've loved it since i first found it on RockBand lol
You have to see the performance they did from the early 90's at a festival to truly appreciate this song.
This song always makes me tear up. Hits right in the feels
I graduated high school in 1992. Wish I could go back and do it all over again.
Radiohead was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year! 😉👏
Oh man I was 24, had one son. That guitar stroke gets me every time 😁
My theme song right here! "I wish I was special..." "I don't belong here..."
You are not alone. That's why it connected to millions like us.
Same
He wants her but she is way out of his league, she won’t give him the time of day.
"That's the attitude, it doesn't matter if she lays stays or prays, your toes are still tapping." ... dude from "Fast Times At Ridgemont High".
True story, in 1994 I got up on stage at Shaw AFB, SC and belted out this song. The whole time I was hitting these notes this really cute blonde was really focused on me and not the rest of the band.
Afterwards a friend introduced me to her and I was psyched! Turned out she was a nursing student and she just wanted to check out the huge bandage on the side of my face from which I acquired the night before after jumping out of the bed of a moving pick up truck when I was drunk.
In 92, skate crews didn’t roll in large numbers. This song became rally cry to deny the “popular” kids and predetermined sets, not a jock, not a nerd, not a prep.
I was inherently a hiphop head that went down the path less traveled. Which in turn made my skate clique tight. Then by the late 90’s I was full on in the skate scene, worked at the local shop, making video edits, getting into every type of music, film, art and hell just generally getting cultured. Then in 04ish the scene was getting diluted with the “scene” kids, using skateboards as accessories of fashion.
But this song! This song was critical in that journey.
Talking Heads- Once in a lifetime
Pixies- Where is my mind
The Stooges- Search and Destroy
Others too, but these were critical in my invention of self.
Awesome video sir.
He's basically saying he doesnt think he's good enough for her. He thinks she deserves someone special, someone as amazong as her, and he hates that he thinks hes not that person...at least, thats what I always figured he was saying
One of my all time favorite songs!! 👏👏
This is a song for the lonely people of the world... being single doesn't define who you are, its their loss, love yourself first.
Love radiohead. Try Fake plastic trees, karma police, ok computer etc.. they are pure 90s
radiohead is timeless :)
Mate, well done. First reaction video to _Creep_ I've seen where you got the message first time out of the gate!
1992 was an excellent year! I turned 21!
Me too!!🤘
I am so glad you changed your view on the usage of the word "Creep" . had a very different definition back in my day ( yeah im 37, plodding on in years =o).
Love the videos and love the advice you give after you realise the meaning of the song. confidence not cockiness.
spent far to long wishing I was with a very close friend of mine for years never having the balls to let her really know . then just before she moved away to be with someone else I found out she had always felt the same way about me but never had the confidence to say.
I still think she was well out of my league but what a difference a single conversation would have had to our lives .
Sending much love & hugs, to all fellow creeps, we make the world a more interesting place to be !!! LOL 😀 Love your reaction!
In 1992 i was 22 years of age and drunk too much and didn't remember much. Now I'm 50 years old and have just started listening to radiohead. I miss a lot in my twenties.
Love your inputs and messages in this
That guitar is so perfect in the background
"Creep" like someone out of the norm... a goth in a barbie world if you will. I've loved this song for many years.
(I was a sophomore in h.s. in '92😁)
I loved it when Radiohead was a rock band. I have tried so hard to like their more electronic ambient music, but I really wish they would've kept going into a hard rock direction. I think "The Bends" is a masterpiece.
I just graduated high school in 1991!!! Loving the music of my era.
An old classic.....😎
I feel Thom would agree with you. He doesn't like performing this song much these days. But we're all a bit unsure when we're young
What was I doing in 1992? I was a Navy wife having my first baby at 18. Whew... That was tough memories lol great song! I remember when he did it at a beach party for spring break 1993 I think it was. Back when MTV still played music. I was watching it.
"so very special" is not quite the original lyrics, the song loses a little bit of its punch in this radio edit
There's a creep, monster, saint, hero and coward in all of us, just depends on the circumstances, timing and/or interest.
Great reaction! You should check out the version of this at the NOS Alive Festival 2016, Thom nails it 24 years later - its amazing!
1992 I was a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill enjoying all that college life in the 90s had to offer. I remember that was the first year I saw Guns N Roses live. Ahhhh the memories and the MUSIC!
That guitarist with black hair looks just about as cool as anyone could look in 90s London.
One of my favourite songs - so relatable ! :)))
CONFIDENCE BREEDS SUCCESS..... I LOVE IT! Love your channel and love it when your wife joins you!
1992, just graduated high school. This song was a big hit that summer. I was also a "Creep".
Brian Willis Me too. Best graduation ceremony, went to Disneyland. Bought a few CD’s of Queen, Lenny Kravitz and a few others for my new college adventure.
Regret is worse than rejection
"I want you to notice when I'm not around". 😥 Feeling like no one remembers you when you're gone.
"Shooters need to shoot"
That sounds like Boomhauer's advice on dating.
I graduated high school in 1992 and never heard this until years later. I was a metalhead/classic rock guy
Chevelle - The Clincher
I was in my 8th year in the Air Force in 1992. Great song then and a great song now!
Loving this video drinking some CROWN ROYAL while you drinking water...lol
Couple underrepresented groups. The Cult: Fire woman and Clutch: Electric worry. Both are great.
1992 - I was giving birth to my 1st born (it felt like for the whole year). I was already out of the army.
This song is legendary both here
And used in the Show Lucifer!
Man.., in '92 I was in jr. high! Stone Temple Pilots "Creep" was another good one.
Chrissy hinz from the pretenders rocks it to
In 1992, I was three, so I was probably breaking something I was told not to touch.
92? I was working construction and dating an exotic dancer. oh the good old days. lmao
Radiohead No Surprises. The video is amazing.
This song is about all the people who are rejected by society because they don't "fit in". It's an anthem to all those folks who have been deemed creeps, weirdos or strange because they don't conform to societal norms and dare to be who they really are.
The feeling of inadequacy, is what the song is about.
Great reaction dude 💕
Only 1 word to describe, CREEP. "EPIC"
LOVE THIS❤❤❤
I was in 8th grade when this song came out. I feel so old right now 🤪
Try being 24 when it came out 😁
I was an E4 Army up in the barracks of Ft Myer Va in 92.
Great reaction bro 👊
I'm not cocky, i'm confident, so when you tell me i'm the best thats a compliment, I love Jada and i saw that reference!
Excellent song, hi from Colima Mexico
Arsenio Hall broke this band on live tv on his Arsenio Hall show. They gave a amazing live performance of this song and it took off. You can check it out on RUclips
"You never know until you know"!

What was I doing in 1992 I was Graduating High School in Wewoka Oklahoma, just 2 Years before I went to Ft. Sill Oklahoma to wear our Country's Uniform with the United States Army! :)
FYI - He did take the chance, he approached her.............and she ran away. That's the last part of the song. That's why it hurt so bad.
That's right fellas, creep till she tells you you're a creep😂😂
In '92 I was in 8th grade...man I love this song.
Love this song.
Omg you had me laughing out loud with your commentary
the girl he was creeping about yes he chased a girl, she came to one of his gigs, when the band was huge, and he was very nervous cos he knew she was going to the gig
I was 26 and having the best times of my life.
More please!! "Paranoid Android" is a great song by them, and the music video is.. interesting haha
Love his scream
I see it more about the anxiety of fitting into society. The cool people rule.
Ah awesome now you've seen this version, You neeeeed to check out the Post modern Jukebox version with haley reinhart. It will blow your mind. As for what i was doing in 92 :p i was in my last year of highschool lol :)
I love their version of it
omg look up Prince doing this song.. WOW
In '92 I was three and probably being yelled at for making a mess
Lets get back to Ghost
Only time he recorded this without”your so fucking special” regretted it but wouldn’t have been played on radio at that time!
But lost so much of the angst of the song!!!
Great reaction, I love this channel.
In 1992 I was a 21 and heard this song and made it my theme song, lol
Radiohead was definitely grunge royalty.
You're right on track with your interpretation. I think maybe he thinks he's not good enough or this girl is way out of his league. Anyway, thanks for this one, one of my favorite songs! Also, love the chair man #TitanUp! Your constant positive attitude lifts my day!
What was I doing in '92? Listening to Radiohead.
Everyone has their limits and time to prepare, life does not stand still. When an insecure guy prepares and acquires a little confidence, moment may be missed a long time ago.
You absolutely need to listen to Jeff Buckley! Either "Last Goodbye" or "Lover You Should Have Come Over". I played these songs for my 17 year old and he immediately stole my cd and started trying to learn how to play and sing the songs.
You're right he is it's a sad song if you listen to the live version you can see him wiping his tears off his face
Yeah bro, a very long way yeah just be yourself that's all
😭😭😭😀😀😀 that's ri 😭ght yeah me to, ait
