    G’mornig Jesse…great video 🤘🤘🤘…love the Lyman stadium case holder and their powder measure 😎😎😎 stay well and keep up your content!…I run Winchester LPP who can be used for both standard and magnum loadings (I thought ahead and purchased 15K from my local toy store years ago the price was $17 per K 😎😎😎).

      Man I miss cheap primer prices. I just got a brick of LPP and it was $85.

    Jesse, it would be interesting to see you do a test to see if it is necessary to size 44 cases if you shoot them in the same pistol every time?

    Jesse. Good and interesting video. My limited experience with .44 Mag's: 240 Gr XTP/19 Gr Accurate-9 = ~1372 fps SD-16. // 240 Gr XTP/ 23.0 Gr H110 = ~1338 fps SD-23. Production Ammo: Ammo Inc. 240 Gr TMJ ~1445 fps SD-43. All shot out of a Taurus Model 44. Take care.

    Man this is awesome! Congrats on that new .44 pistol. I absolutely love .44! I use just standard LPP. My only load for .44 magnum has been H100 with the Hornady 225gr FTX bullets. I need to get some XTPs and get a load together for those bullets as the sucky thing about the 225gr FTX is the shorter case. I also started loading .44 special using Steel Valley 240gr cast and titegroup powder. Some nice loads with the titegroup...put out a load testing video from the range a while back. Had the .44 pistols and one of my lever guns out on Saturday.
    Your loads turned out pretty dang good! over 1400FPS are solid numbers for .44 mag. Anyways, great to see you start down the .44 path!

      I was at one of my lgs Saturday and they had 180gr XTP and 225gr FTX in stock. When I get paid I’ll probably get the 180gr ones to tryout.

    I only use magnum primers for L’il Gun and H-110. A-9, Enforcer and 2400 only need a standard primer.
    I’m almost exclusively a cast bullet shooter. My favorites are an upper midrange load with HS-6 and both solid and hollow point versions of the Lyman 429244 and the 290 grain LBT WFN driven around 1200 fps with Enforcer.

      @@jesseboutdoorsreloading With rifle primers being difficult, I’ve found that large pistol magnum primers have plenty of fire to ignite 30 grains of the 4198’s.

    Good stuff, Jesse. Could you just use your Hornady seater to crimp on a separate step as opposed to buying a Lee FCD? 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸

    • @jesseboutdoorsreloading
      @jesseboutdoorsreloading  4 месяца назад +2

      I could do it separately. For some reason I always liked the Lee FCD.

      @@jesseboutdoorsreloading I like the FCD as well, except for cast bullets. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸

    Good stuff, Jesse! How do you like the Hornady dies so far? I absolutely love the Frankford Arsenal intellidropper for making things much faster. 🇺🇸

      They don’t seem to be to bad of dies. They are cheaper than the RCBS carbide dies I use.

    I've been reloading 44mag for years. As you mentioned, I typically use H110 and LilGun as my go to for 240gr & 300gr JHP (have used IMR4227, but that has gotten too expensive). I have recently been using Ramshot Enforcer with great results with some of my cast boolits and would love your thoughts on it (LSWC and LRN), but you need to use magnum primers (Winchester LP work great, and are rated as good for magnum too). I've been shooting these out of my Henry lever and S&W 629. 44 mag is one of my favorite calibers.

      I like both LSWC and round nose. I prefer LSWC for shooting at critters. Thanks for watching.
