imagine if they put a ton of effort into a ground mount version of flying mounts, with the idea of combat in mind. like lance strikes. A good example is how they did in Conan exiles. The mount riding is so much fun in that game cause you have momentum, and you can do these slides and stuff. The movement is just fun.
its so true though, the people who play that fake melee spec have nothing to complain about. as frost dk, we need constant melee uptime or else we lose catestropic amounts of damage, while having fuckall range and mobility outside of banking a single rime proc that can only be generated in melee range. we needed something to be able to keep uptime.
It'll will likely be nerfed from this version because they already have death grip and chains of frost. It's basically blessing of freedom and divine steed in one.
Visuals and fantasy will absolutely be what I choose over minmaxing. Most of the mage hero talents feel like what I wanted out of the system, cool class fantasy and new pretty visuals that let me customize my characters aesthetic and not just the play style. I'm definitely maining a mage in TWW. Mage, void priest, and rider DK are the only ones with substantial fantasy changes to have me interested so far. I think hero talents would be awesome as the way forward for introducing new 'leveling' to the game giving classes new hero talent trees to play with instead of just 10 new arbitary levels. Especially if they treat hero talents as an evergreen system. Sadly the way blizzard designs modern classes I don't really see these as an interesting addition to the game that new cosmetic glyphs couldn't do already, they're just more buttons to push at worst, or a completely passive right/wrong choice for spreadsheet warriors. We're not seeing some actually engaging changes to class design with hero talents, like adding much needed sub roles to classes without completely ruining their kit, such as giving mages a counter-magic hero tree, or a frost armor offtank/caster tank tree, its still just more esoteric mechanic spam dumped onto your kit for the most part, or some talents where its just straight upgrades to core class abilities, such as finally giving deathknights mounted combat, though that would be better served by actually adding a ground mount rework because I can already hear the community QQ that only one class gets mounted combat.
I've never been huge on spriest mostly because of it being more static and 2 healer specs since I don't play healer, however these changes and aesthetics are making me want to at least have a spriest alt, mage main. Probably paladin too if having 3 characters isn't too taxing.
"blizzard always adds borrowed power thats gone after the x-pac REEEE" blizzard adds hero talents as an evergreen system "where the sauce at REEEEEEE" whats it gonna be my man? these talents are here to add flavor and a little bit of power and not to be impossible to balance powerhouse stuff.
Druid Hero talents are failing. While other classes gain power, Druids gain untility instead of power. Ferals don't want to heal or tank better, they want to feral better and do more and new ways to melee damage. Same with the other Druid specs. Boomkins want to be better spellcasters and increase that ability, not heal or tank better. They need to completely rethink what they are doing with Druids. All other classes better at what spec they choose to play, while druids get to be poorly better at a spec they are not choosing to play. As a Feral Druid, I want to be a NIghtmare Lord, wielding The power of the Nightmare, not somewhat not very useful utility specs that will be the joke of the expansion.
@@tddybear3324 Actually no it wasn't. Jack of all trades was a MeMe. No one wanted that. No one that played Druid wanted that. The spells and the talents are looking awesome. I feel like we are reaching a saturation point with how many spells we have in the game and how complex the system keeps getting.
