    There’s no way to justify moving the cluster to the center again when the pro models have it in the driver view. People have complained about the center cluster since the rzr 800. It saves them money on wiring and plastic molds

    I'm the test pilot at the atv/sxs repair shop. I look at the dash almost half the time for codes, temp rising too high, and any other information that would let us know if the info given by the customer was correct, or if the repair fixed the problem. As a big fan of looking where I'm going at speed, they can keep that middle screen nonsense. A cost cutting deal on their part.

      @@ES-lk9db Every year problems crop up with every brand and they either scramble to fix it or redesign the issue out of it. Stay away the first year of anything and remember that the warranty only covers "wear items".

    I really like these new machines. It does look a little similar to the krx though. The only thing I don’t like is not having gauge right it front of you; however, I don’t really look at the gauges on the SXSs that I ride or my sportsman, so I don’t think it would matter that much to me.

      I agree I have 2016xp1000 and its really hard for me to look at the cluster in the center when I’m driving, I have driven the pro xp for a while and other than the power my favorite part about that machine was the the cluster being behind the steering so I could see it

    Cha Ching. $$$ The 2 door Backcountry would work fine for me. But for that kind of scratch, I think a used Jeep would work even better. Get the benefits of on/off road legal use. Benefits of heaters,A/C, more cargo room, everything one comes to appreciate about a cabbed vehicle you have the option to remove doors and tops, etc. But also have it all buttoned up for year round comfort. No trailering it around, which would save on a trailer purchase, yearly tabs for that and of course a tow vehicle. (parking area, extra maintenance, etc) Fun toys these side by sides. Or ranch/farm run about. But just not logical for the budget minded. (imo)

      You are absolutely right. A SxS is not a good investment by any means. Most people buy them to use them for what they were built and made for, riding rough and ripping. But no hobby is cheap, generally. I guess there are some but probably aren't as fun or adventurous. I 100% agree that prices are ridiculous and that's just a fact but on the other end, you only live one time so if you want one and can afford it, buy one and enjoy it. If saving $ is more important to you it's probably not the hobby for you.

    • @austinjwolf
      @austinjwolf Год назад

      The offroad capability of a jeep pales in comparison to a SxS. If you want to put slowly through the woods, head bobbling, a jeep is a good option. SxS suspension capability and maneuverability allow you to make it further into the wilderness, faster, and way more comfortably than a jeep. In my opinion it's almost an apples to oranges comparison. I'd recommend trying one :)

    Honestly, this is disappointing for a new model. Suspension travel is the same as previously models (20.5 usable travel 🙄 actual travel is 16 front, 18 rear) and actual changes seem mostly cosmetic. Doesn't really seem significantly better than the old ones so why waste so many resources on a new design...

    Polaris needs to rethink their program. Reliability should be a given and that just isn't the reality for their machines. Frames crack like egg shells, clutches are junk, belts blow as fast as you can replace them. Ball joints fail regularly. We always have a spare fuel pump on a ride of any length. A Arms, tie rods and radius rods are very weak. That is without discussing the stop ride / sales. Sorry this won't have me reaching for my wallet.

    Higher stadium seating? 🤔 NOBODY likes the looks of a SXS with stadium seating. It's one of the first things to go. They get a new cage that is lower in the back. Have the people at Polaris ever looked at any of their RZRs after they are customized? The front end definitely has a lot of Kawasaki KRX influence. The doors are freaking hideous. Whoever signed off on those should be fired. And the center speedo cluster is inexcusable. I see a lot of changes next year UNDOING the rediculous mistakes from this model.
