I am a proffesional driving tecnjoque trainer who have worked in the top level of the WRC. I use exactly this type of UTV for training drivers. Wow, I didnt realize that you guys did a video on the new rzr. You guys did an amazing job on this. The production on this video is insane compared to basically everyone else who is covering it.
Thanks for talking about this on the podcast! I know you're taking a bath on views on this type of content, but it sure is enjoyable and I am personally watching way more of your videos and enjoying them a lot! Hopefully the viewers find their way to this great content!
I came back and watched this because y'all mentioned on the podcast that it was getting less attention - I regret not watching it when I saw it come up the first time! As always, awesome writing and production work.
This video was awesome. I heard in the podcast that you weren't happy with the numbers, but as a lifelong TST subscriber, I think it was definitely up there. All the best from Spain.
For those who can license UTVs, the result is more flexibility for general use. I've seen UTVs at grocery stores and other common daily travel chores. I myself chose to pass on a UTV and got an ATV instead, a Can-Am Outlander 850 Max version. The "Max" is a tandem 2-Seater version with a longer wheelbase and dedicated second seat. I wanted less of a car/truck experience and more of a riding on top of it (kind of) motorcycle experience. Also note, there are some trails that are restricted to 50" wide (their is usually a narrow gate to get through) so that restricts all but the narrowest of UTVs.
As someone who has been to many off road parks in a jeep, including Windrock, I can confirm these are taking over the off road world - almost completely. As a jeeper I feel a little us vs. them about that, but I can't ignore how capable they are and how much fun they look. Great video. Ps, also listen to the podcast and am going to watch this twice to try and help the numbers. Thanks for trying new things.
Bought a Krx in 2021 absolutely love it!!! Rally car, trophy truck, crawler all in one. Can go anywhere and roads don’t limit it’s potential to explore.
I had absolutely no interest in one of these UTVs prior to this video, but I was convinced to watch it from listening to you guys discuss it on the podcast. Wow, great video, enjoyed every second. What a great product.
Another excellently produced video. I totally get the appeal of these. They're a bit dangerous, a bit cheap, and looks to be a ton of fun. I then think about how I could actually make one work. I would have to buy a truck and trailer it to an ORV that's a couple of hours away. A sports car then seems a lot cheaper and easier to use. It was definitely fun to look at an alternative and see what other options there are. Hopefully you guys are invited on other press events for other non-car vehicles. Also, between this and the truly fantastic Porsche Dakar video you have the beginnings of an off-road channel.

I live in rural Montana and people will drive these like normal cars here. Like they drive them to go get groceries even. Having drive one myself I have to say they are super fun, plus racing on a trail is a whole other level of fun.
Good points. I am a blue color dude. I’m probably never going to buy my dream sports car like a Corvette C8 or Lamborghini. I’m probably never going to buy a $200k overlanding expedition rig. But I could save up a down payment and afford a high performance sport UTV. $25k seems like a lot until you compare that to the price of a super car or expedition rig.
Unfortunately, a huge proportion of UTV drivers think driving one gives them license to do whatever they want and destroy trails, surrounding area, and have no regard for other trail users safety... thankfully they're getting banned from public roads all over the place. Matt summed it up perfectly when saying there aren't any speed limits and you can take trails at 25mph... There may not be a written speed limit, but there are common sense limits around blind corners, to keep the dust to a minimum near other trail users, to 'tread lightly' etc. Love your videos, but this is really poorly done and reinforcing the poor behavior the users of these think they're entitled. to.
@@user-mo8tm4jw2l I don't understand your reply. I'm talking about more than just off-roading. I don't go out every weekend but I have been out on some trails and I know the common sense rules
@@user-mo8tm4jw2l In general, I have had great experiences with the traditional off-road community and those issues are generally with tourist renting jeeps who have no trail experience. Honestly, even having arguably one of the best Miata's (Mazdaspeed) My 2019 Yamaha YXZ still tops it for fun factor for me. It is like my own little rally car. If I can financially swing it in the future I don't see why I won't have a sxs at all points from now on.
Watched as requested in yesterday’s podcast. This video was a fun one! For many of us though, it’s not anything we’d buy, as it just doesn’t work for where we live. While cool and fun, it’s a pretty niche product.
@@DuvJones I just watched a recent @Jays2Cents video where he was installing a waterblock and he made the same "this is" joke. I think it is crazy how much that open arms "This is the xxxxx" has permeated other kinds of content outside and inside the auto space. It was the binging with babish "crossover" with the doug demuro that was the first that really shocked me.
Like they show in this video, these vehicles are great fun off-road for everyone riding UTV's. But if you're anyone else trying to have fun in the forest, they are a menace. Try finding a small trail to hunt birds with a dog. Its impossible without a caravan of these things going by once in a while. They were great to drive along the beach to reach places it would take all day to walk there. Now vehicles are banned from the beach because of nest and vegetation destruction. They were finally allowed to use some streets in town for access to gas and restaurants. Now you hear them at all hours of the night using streets they shouldn't. It's impossible to keep nice trail rest stop facilities, there will be some that feel they have to destroy these little shelters for some reason. Like all motorsports, they all eventually end up in a HP war and speed war. Now a UTV will easily top 70 MPH. They have reached the 200 HP level and consequently we see several deaths every year now. Like everything in life, used in moderation they are great fun. But its human nature to always push the bouderies and this eventually is accompanied by casualties.
This video is awesome. I know y’all were bummed for the initial performance of this video, but it is something to be proud of. As far as the editing process taking up too much time, the quality of what you guys do from a raw standpoint is superior, so maybe let the edits keep some of that with using less b-roll for example? I sometimes find it distracting anyway especially when the action doesn’t match from cut to cut.
Seeing the car community start to get into side by sides and respect them is great and will help both communities grow. I left the car scene and got into side by sides and to be honest I won't ever go back. Wisconsins car scene can be toxic but the side by side community is excellent.

These things are amazing - you can drive them with the intensity of a go cart. It’s like having a track day for the entire weekend with no sessions. Sand dunes can be amazing fun as well.
This is the best video from you guys that I can remember. Welcome to the secret us hillbillies have known about for years. I bought acreage and have been building my own SxS trail. My cousin owns Tecumseh Trails down in Shawnee, Ohio. It's a campground based around an off-road park. You guys should come easy and check it out. I almost killed myself and my wife in one on an early date many years ago. I was driving and we hauled ass down an appropriately-named "haul road". I came to a tight switchback going down hill and tried to brake, but the gravel sent us for a ride. We slid down the hill sideways and somehow didn't roll over. I got her straightened out eventually and took the switchbacks like a drift car at far too fast a speed. We made it, but she was scared to death and mad at me.
I’ve always been a car guy, but since I got my yxz (5 speed manual sport sxs) I can’t see the need for a sports car. Driving in the dunes is the most exciting 4 wheel activity I’ve ever done, it’s like a track day, auto cross, drag racing and drifting all at the same time, and you don’t go to jail for using every bit of performance your car has. It’s also cheap to insure, gets decent mpg and it’s pretty cheap to fix.
Dude I grew up riding the sand dunes in Michigan on 4 wheelers and jeeps, and then when I was in high school my dad bought a Polaris razor 1000. It was fucking mind blowing, that thing would dive down a hill and you were sure that the suspension was going to bottom out and you were gonna flip. But then the wheels would just roll right underneath you and it would take the impact. It was unbelievable. I would take other people who were camping with us for rides in it and I’d have full grown men screaming to slow down because we were gonna die 😂 I wish he didn’t sell it, and I’m buying one again as soon as I have the means to
These are great, but $21k (and up) is a LOT to pay for a toy that needs to be trailored out of town to a dedicated trail every time you want to play. The beauty of a sports car is you can have a little fun running an errand or picking up the kid.
As someone who has owned and/or rides with most brands of snowmobiles, atvs and side by sides I’ll disagree with you. I also used to work for a dealership, for what that’s worth (not much by the way, the guy that sweeps the floors and takes out the trash can claim to work for a dealership). It all comes down to the experience you’re looking for. A Corolla is more dependable than just about any sports car, but not nearly as fun. There are other machines that are going to be more reliable (mainly the Japanese stuff) but they’re more conservative. Less power, less capable suspension. There’s always a trade off. Polaris and Can Am make cutting edge performance machines. They’re designed to be pushed hard, and machines that get pushed hard tend to break every once in a while. I got a bit long winded there but bottom line, all machines have their strengths and weaknesses, and the better you take care of whatever you buy the more likely that it’ll take care of you.
this looks cool and all but for someone who isnt 40 with back problems (you said it not me), this beautiful trail footage just made me want to hop on a dirt bike. i just feel like id have way more fun! i feel like id only be the customer for this if i lost an arm
i respect that for a lot of people this is the most fun way to blast thru this trail, but i think for the engagement and manouverability, if you have the cojones, the dirt bike is going to win that battle every time. same PPE gear too!

I would take other people who were camping with us for rides in it and I’d have full grown men screaming to slow down because we were gonna die 😂 I wish he didn’t sell it, and I’m buying one again as soon as I have the means to
Rocking the 80Eighty hoody I see... Matt out here trying to win a Lambo... 🤣 Great vid by the way!
These are great, but $21k (and up) is a LOT to pay for a toy that needs to be trailored out of town to a dedicated trail every time you want to play. The beauty of a sports car is you can have a little fun running an errand or picking up the kid.
Fully here bc the pod requested me here, agreeing with matt this didn’t get to my Home Screen and the algo sent it to hell regardless of sun status
“And then it soaks up a bump like that, like RICK JAMES”
Having grown up riding fast snowmobiles, I can attest fellas. Without freezing your balls off.
Zach's commentary is so great
I dug this one more than I thought I would
They're great to drive. Horrible to own. I'd love to borrow one, but never buy any Polaris. Source: I work for a dealership.
Thanks for the heads up
Curious what's wrong with them. Unreliable? High maintenance?
Yeah, as someone who knows next to nothing about these, they seem perfect. What are the downsides?
Agreed. Rent one at the off road park.
What a great video. Damn algorithm didn’t even suggest it so I had to go back and find it
Zack’s Doug Demuro impression is the best
This one was a fun one to watch!
Awesome vid, solid layout!
Yo so much fun to watch!
"it soaks up a bump like Rick James" I got that reference
This video was so entertaining 😅, great job!
this looks cool and all but for someone who isnt 40 with back problems (you said it not me), this beautiful trail footage just made me want to hop on a dirt bike. i just feel like id have way more fun! i feel like id only be the customer for this if i lost an arm
i respect that for a lot of people this is the most fun way to blast thru this trail, but i think for the engagement and manouverability, if you have the cojones, the dirt bike is going to win that battle every time. same PPE gear too!
Look at Matt having some fun with some salt of the earth toys
When Zack hit that river 😂😂😂
It look like you guys had fun made some memories 🫶🫶🫶
