YES! Thank you sooo much for this info! I have a blind, cleft-lipped french bulldog named Capt Jack & I am doing activity books based on him. We take him to youth groups & schools & will be also taking him to nursing homes & hospitals to show people that they are perfect in God's eyes just the way they are. He has his own youtube channel & instagram & we will do a book series on him as well.
I’m looking for a side hustle and have just come across KDP. I’ve always been an avid book reader so I think I might be good at this. I’m 53 years old and need to find something that I can continue doing for many more years.
Slick! I'm so inspired. Going to try it following your instructions right now! Funny. I never thought of doing this when I was a teacher. I made up word searches with an online too that generated the vocabulary words I wanted my students to learn all the time! Didn't think about making them into a book. Now that I'm retired, I am going to use my 'teacher' skills to market books.
I publish under the author name Kaur Mum on Amazon (mostly journals). I have been doing it for a few months and it has been challenging (thus far I have only had 3 sales). I enjoy the creative process and I love creating work that represents the Indian community so for that reason I don't want to give up.
Don't give up. Keep going. Seems to me from watching various videos on RUclips, that it takes 1-5 years to really build on momentum whether that is singing songs on RUclips or making journals. If you believe in what you are doing, other people will feel and see that too. It will come, trust the process :)
Really nice. I like it. Been a while since I have been into this but I have been thinking of figuring out what to do next. I have published 4 low content books on Amazon but no sales. Just need to figure it out I know you know what I mean. Thanks for sharing. Awesome
Hi Gillian. With Amazon terminating more and more accounts they feel are using AI to create books, is there not a very high chance that using Bookbolt people face having their accounts terminated?
Google Amazon KDP calculator, there is one to create your book dimensions and when you create a KDP account inside you can actually change the price to see what your royalties would be.
i published my first coloring book and it went live about 4 days ago but when i search for the title, its nowhere to be found. Its the only coloring book , or any product with this name. Shouldnt it populate by a simple search? The ASIN comes up with a search. Just not the title which is strange.
I have two books on Amazon already and I am getting ready to publish another book soon, do you think bookbolt would be a good place to put the book together before I put it on Amazon?
What you have to do is a bit of research, like type in questions home buyers are likely to want to find out, and see what the demand is, by the number of books already on Amazon: ook atl how many books are in the niche, look at competitors. But one of the other ways you could use a book like that is as a way to project your credibility, by being able to say to clients that you have written a book on the subject. YOu could then go on to write more related books under a brand. If you want to make decent money through publishing though, you have to have more than one book, and you have to make sure you will have an audience for those books. Build an email list, and you will then have an inbuilt audience.
have been watching you for years! I am a WAHM and recently finally wrote my book idea using Chatgpt for help! I want to do Medium and High Content books. Where can i get help with 1. best layouts for non fiction type high content books and 2. best strategies for KDP for HCBs seems like most people I find only talk about low and medium. any thoughts? I am writing Index type books where someone can look up say a kind of food and it says a bit about it
I've written a motivational book about growing up with cerebral palsy and achieving you goals. I would weep to sell 500 copies a month! How could I get my book to that level of sales?
Just keep learning about ways to promote and market your book. It such a niche book. That's an advantage in a way. You may not reach your target right away, but it will happen if you persist. Good luck.
Present yourself as an interview subject to your local news media. Or see if you can do a presentation at your local library or community center. Local groups that promote community interests often look for speakers for their lunch meetings, or if there is a medical conference you could ask to do a breakout session.
Hi, so far I've been oke without disclosing as ai generated as it does not fit into the text/image/translation criteria but would love to hear back what you went with and how that has been working out?
I paid over $,4,000 dollars to have my book published and after 6 months I am told Amazon rejected my book and the person handling my book says he doesn't know why.
So is anyone here actually making money off KDP books? I'm not talking about a few sales here or there...I'm talking at least $1000 a month above ad spend?
Notebooks etc are called NO CONTENT books because they have no content (besides lines, etc). What you call 'medium content' has been called low-content books forever to those who have been doing this for years now.

medium-content books have more text and information than low-content books but are still designed to be interactive and customizable.
To do crossword books do we need to pay for the Pro plan on bookbolt?

Amazon KDP Publications scammed me for over $3000 dollars.

To complicate it further, what was once considered medium content is now considered low content, which can make a difference in ranking.
Right?! I recently posted a video in reference to avoiding publishing low content books.
Really? Have to look into what a 'medium content' book is.
You rock! Thanks for taking your time to make these videos for us!

@@still_in_discovery ...that was before AI and the ability for others to crank out respectable quality books in mass.
This is great! I'm going to give it try. Your video is very clear and easy to follow. Thank you!
yes, you have pricked my curiosity about medium content books. very clear explanation

Are ISBN numbers necessary for medium content books? Also, how do you decide on pricing? Do you have a video that talks about this?

Very clear video and something that I am looking into, thank you.

@seekingtruth-333 no sales
What website gives you the words? I can't read it
Gillian, I own a home inspection business. Do you think a medium content book on basic home maintenance tips would be a good choice?

Wow that's amazing content do you need a editor for video reels for more engaging audience.

How did you upload the text into bookbolt?
I went through all the steps but the second half of my book is not showing the answer key - they are just blank
Great info... thanks for all you do!

Great video! Thank you! Is it okay to put our Amazon link to our book on our facebook post to promote it?
yes thanking very much.....
I cannot get my word list to upload.
This is great
Please can you teach me how create a book
Do these "medium content" books require the "AI-Assisted" label on KDP?
great question, I'd like to know that too!
No. AI assisted doesn’t require disclosure. Only AI generated requires disclosure.
Hi, so far I've been oke without disclosing as ai generated as it does not fit into the text/image/translation criteria but would love to hear back what you went with and how that has been working out?
