hi everyone, i hope you've all been doing okay :) i've got a cozy little reading vlog for you guys, featuring annotations on my latest + current read, a couple of amazing unboxings, lots of cute cat moments, and other cozy things. i was at home a lot in this video too so a almost all the clips were pretty much shot at home! i hope you guys enjoy it 🤍

This is my favourite video of this kind so far. There is normally something that makes me get uninterested but I loved every minute of this video so thanks for this experience.
As someone who finds reading really scary, whenever I want to try and read, I watch your videos first and it makes reading seem less scary. Also, as a slow reader, I love that you take your time with books, and thereby your videos aren't intimidating on how quickly a book should be read, which some booktubers do.

Hi Cath! What a sweet gift to end my day watching your video😊 Here in Spain we still have summer weather so I’m spending most of my mornings reading in the beach with the soothing sound of the crushing waves. Right now I’m reading the second book of Anne of Green Gables. I love reading about Anne’s adventures and her overflowing imagination, the beautiful natural sourrondings she loves to explore and the sincere friendships she makes with all kinds of people. I’m such a fan of this books as you can see hehe. I hope you are having a nice week and enjoying your current reads too!

I am glad i'm not the only one who enjoyed Tane's story! She had the most suspenseful one for me and I rooted for her! I also love the romance between Ead and Sabran! so much angst
everyone in the book club enjoyed her story most too!! i kinda wish we have one whole book with just her as the MC hehe >< the romance was indeed veryyy angsty!!

I love your videos, they are so cozy! I have read Priory and the prequel (A Day of Fallen Night) but I actually read the prequel first and then Priory! I loved both but I think A Day of Fallen Night was just a bit better! I liked the characters in that one and I don’t feel it slowed down as much as Priory so you might like that one more too :)

random question...how do you remember what you tabbed for your annotations later? do you read it digitally and check there to see where you highlighted for your physical?
yep that’s one way! i also normally dog ear the pages of a physical book and go back to it later to annotate the specific phrases :)
The other book in the priory series is a prequel not a sequel so it's fine if you take a long break and forget some bits you won't be lost

I am reading the Priory of the orange tree as well. It is a great book but the reeading is going slow for some reason.
yesss exactly!! i think there are lots and lots of details which make it really slow :’) it’s great for world building, but it just means we need to focus more and take our time with it. i hope you end up liking it!

I don't know much about annotation (as english isn't my first language I didn't even know the word ^^) What is it for? :)
hi there! annotation is marking up the words of a text (eg. a book, document, textbook, etc). it’s normally meant to help you actively engage with the text so you can understand it more :) it’s mostly used in an academic setting (like analysing literature novels to understand why the author uses such prose and themes in their stories. in my case, i’m doing it casually because it’s simply fun! plus it helps me read more actively and makes me enjoy the story better (because i’m able to connect to it more) 🥰 i hope this helps!

When you go back to annotate, how to remember what you wanted to annotate? I always forget and end up just rereading everything again 😂
i don’t always remember what i want to annotate, so i just annotate with a fresh pair of eyes and write down my second set of thoughts (i normally can tell straight off the bat which phrase i want to annotate). but if i go back to a dog-earred page and don’t find a phrase that i wanted to annotate in the first place, i just leave it at that and move on :)

Love your video. Just personally i feel , the music can be a bit lower in volume or you could totally not put music except for intro and outro. It would be more relaxing with the natural sounds. Suits the aesthetic. Just a small review as audience.

I tried...but just couldn't do it...after the 5th ad in the first 3 minutes it jusy ruined the relaxing vibe. LOVE your content but the constant ads jusy ruin it.
