The media direction for the Military has done a fantastic job the last couple years... Really stepping it up with The Fionoglach video and now this, Fair play to the team who put it together 👏🇮🇪
They should show these ads on rte and in the cinemas reach a way bigger audience
A fair step up from the old Life Less Ordinary ones
Why is it that the American Army makes crap.
@@SnakeFist150 I seen one of the ads for.the army when I was in the cinema in Stillorgan
respect from Syria to Ireland, if i was Irish i would've joined the Irish army for sure
Thanks man im thinking about joining
You can they accept foreign applicants
@@aidenrobertson947 that actually true
@@aidenrobertson947 well let go there first i wish i live in ireland 🇮🇪 ❤️
respect from ireland
If only the pay and conditions were better a lot more would consider joining
True but barely any army’s have good pay
@@pureoceanz8352 Haha that's also true
True the pay makes the job alot lower on my list
@@bonk4416 same here, I saw the advertisement for recruitment come up and was contemplating applying but I talked to an ex-soldier and he said the pay is impossible to live on. Really changed my mind
Jarly Designs nothing really exciting happens you know its just the general service that is not paid enough but you can look into other jobs in it like the mechanics or the navy
That time of the year again
UnKnown same
I’m 17 and I have like 5 more with work and college coming up I wanna look good I’m gonna try navy
@@emiliapains5527Best of luck man! Done my work experience there and it honestly looks unreal!
UnKnown I’ve quit the stoning business I long time ago it’s not worth it not when your joining the military and helping others
@@emiliapains5527 You could be doing worse things than smoking weed trust me, just hit the gym do some cardio eat right, study hard and you can do anything in life, I'm just trying to get shredded and study for LC to try get in right after leaving cert
I know it's harder then it looks but fuckin hell that video was class well done lads
How do you unlock the golden AK?
RoloC4 you gotta kill 100 kills lol
😂😂😂😂
Kill 10 000 people
@@patrickwantstodie4894 The thing is, the Irish soldiers haven’t killed anyone they only sweep street corners occasionally.😂
Pretty sure you need to buy the defence force battle pass and reach level 47 to unlock it
Surprisingly uncucked commercial for the military. Great work Ireland.
I’m applying when I’m 18, don’t worry. :)
For such a little country we have a serious army
Done an AMAZING job on this video much like the ranger video well done guys.
As soon as i hit 16 im going to the barraks in cork
17-25 is the joining age, lad
In 2030 I will go to Dublin from the north of Ireland and join The Team 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
2025 for myself cant wait tho ive wanted this since an 8 year old
2025 I’m joining the Irish army from north of Ireland
@@darac9690 Good
@@Tyrakane111 Same
2022 ill be joining hopefully
9/10 badass videos are ruined by BFAs... Still a good video though
The biggest reason the defence forces in Ireland are understaffed and nobody is applying is obviously because of lack of reasonable salary but I think the main reason is young men such as myselfe want to see action we want to see combat that's mainly why most join I knew countless fellas who tought of joining the military most of them left 2 are currently in the French foreign legion I'm hoping to join legion after covid ends the irish army needs to start serving in more operations.
Can't wait to join
Robbie Hynes great to have patriotism in this country
Better off joining the British army buddy.
@@georgecarmody8731 you mean the same army that in the past invaded Ireland and brutally tried to control it. No offense but I'd rather stab myself trough my heart with an Irish flag than join the British army.
@@robbiehynes6796 then enjoy pretty much doing nothing and going nowhere meaningful dude.
@@robbiehynes6796 fair enough I'm Irish too but you're most likely going to end up driving a bus for the rest of your life after retiring. If you're looking to join the army (like I am) you might as well go with the Brits. I thought all about what happened with Ireland and England before I considered joining the Brits but if I were you I'd join the Royal Irish. There's about 50% southern Irish lads there.
Anyone know if there's a recruitment happening in January I was two weeks too young for the current one
Seán N there recruiting
There’s one on now
all the rounds shown in this add are blanks, their all crimped
Dont even bother i was there they treat you like shit bullys abuse their power the better you are the worse your treated they had the best of men and they treadted them like Dogs .how funny they have shot themselves in the foot .my advise to young men and women dont go near this deadend underpayed undervalued job. Go get a real career.
Watching this to wipe my mind from that god awful usa army ad 🤣
Do you recruit from the north of Ireland
Will recruitment take place after July
Yes there should definitely be another one near the end of the year
Leaving cert?
I've applied anyways regardless of the leaving
@@pureoceanz8352 thanks mate
@@ferguslyons7285 you don't need a leaving if you're joining as a recruit only as an officer you need a leaving if that helps
When is recutment happening in 2022 or 2023
Um...can an American that has a McSpirit as great-great-grandad that married into the McGinnis clan with McGinnis sons that was a US Army SGT nurse in Afghanistan join?
Does anyone here know how the same process of recruitment flows?Id be vey thankful for all informations.
Ante Wukoya there’s a documentary on it on RUclips
I would love to be an officer
Same.
Not when its your fault your squad is dead...
Id love to but was failed in the medical because im colour blind restrictions. Load of bollox to be honest. Pretty sure were one of the only countries with that restriction
XploitModz seriously? That’s fucked. Colour blindness is common for some men
@@patrickwantstodie4894 I'm sure there's a reason for it but some medical requirements should be relaxed for non-infantry soldiers or people willing to sign a waiver. Especially with common things like poor eyesight or eczema.
It's not actually not that uncommon to reject someone with colour blindness, let me give you an example, if you are in a situation where you have to diffuse a bomb but you mess up with the colours of the wires, you would be dead, good colour recognition is also important if you want to spot a hiding enemy. So yes, rejecting someone on the basis of colour blindness is a valid point.
How long did it take you to get your medical results back? I had my medical done 3weeks ago and still no luck yet
I had the same thing happend to me in Belgium. Wanted to go in the army. Trained for years to get in shape.... then they tell me i couldnt go any further in the test, because of colour blindness.... espacially when its red/green colour blindness then its a big NO because you wouldnt see the enemy on time. It sucks! My dream blowing up into pieces, i was so angry for a while. Now i understand.
But the army is in my DNA, cant get rid of that :) will always look up to it.
And if you think by joining another countrys army. Doesnt work. Everywhere its the same.
Can Anyone Tell Me The Wage Salary Per Year?
how long can you spend in the irish army
Standard contract is 2 years. Air corps pilot is 12 years. Join Ranger wing and Its 12 years. Training included in all, but of course there is nothing stopping you for staying longer
@@lukecounihan5883 do you have to stay in the air corps or rangers wing for 12 years?
If you join as an AC pilot It's 12 years. Ranger wing wing is also a twelve year contract. You just transfer over. It's a contract to serve in the military, regardless of branch. But of course, you can always pay your way out
@@lukecounihan5883 is the pay any good in the air corps and ranger wing? It should be if its a 12 year contract. I heard the navy pay well.
@@Jake-pm3pz Officer (Cadet) yes. Enlisted (Recruit) Nooooooooooo

I'd love to join but the pay is ridiculously low even for army standards, and this new thing regarding the pension is stupid.
Don’t matter bout the pay all that matters is you’re serving your country!
@@emiliapains5527 i can see what you mean, but the army is a career at the end of the day, and at the moment they are very under paid.

Is the recruitment open for people from commonwealth nations but aren't citizens of Ireland?
If you’re living in Ireland you can as far as I know.
Ireland isn't a commonwealth nation so I wouldn't think so. Maybe become a citizen first?
