In this episode we head on into Castle Morne. This is a fairly standalone area but is important for the Legendary Armament we get at the end of it in addition to a trophy boss. After the castle we grab some loose items that were also still around the Limgrave area.
For limegrave in your walkthrough do you ever go get Boc the seamstress from the tree? I don’t know if I missed it in one of the walkthroughs or if you save npc quests for later on?
On the map just before Castle Morne there is a dark green swamp, just to the north of that there is a Dung Beetle which drops the Poison Mist Incantation, for anyone that wants it.
Yep, and while it's not as much of a "thing" at the swamp there's an easy route to grab like 8 or 10 poisonblooms if you want to make jars/poison arrows.
There's a golden rune(4) on the tallest rock in the swamp too, for anyone going down that route anyways. And on the beachside south of that, there is a Somber(2)
All of these poison blooms are wonderful for poison arrows of course. I didn't know poison was such an effective status in this game. I cheesed a big black dragon with these arrows. (not Agheel) Perfect place to farm the blooms IMHO. Then again, I haven't seen but maybe a small percentage of the whole game. I'm level 55 and just now getting to Castle Morne

Great set of videos. I am a 65 year old gamer, enthusiastic but not very good and with no Souls experience. Your guides are helping so much. Instead of going in mob handed at the castle, I made extensive use of the (upgraded) crossbow we got from Roundtable Hold. It worked a treat, half-killing foes who then came running into the coup-de-Grace. I was very proud that I ‘did’ the castle from the front gate before watching your play through. You have given me the weapons and confidence to tackle what would before have been insurmountable challenges. And the Crucible Knight will just have to wait until later!
Haha cowboy, when you were facing the Crucible Knight again, I was like "never underestimate your enemy" as a quote from you last episode. When I finally beat him, I had a sliver of health, and got off a perfectly timed charged attack to finish him off, and it was epic af. Thanks for your help and encouragement through all these guides, that was a truly epic gamer moment.
There's a golden seed if you go through the gap towards the castle from the grace and travel up a hill to the right. Thanks so much for the guides, super useful. Your hard work is really appreciated.
I have to say my friend, this is my first fromsoftware game and your walkthrough has been a god sent, before I payed £50 and died loads, ended up hating this game. Tried your walkthroughs and my god I love it now, I find myself excited about the next chapter to follow along to, your awesome man thank you. James from England 💪
“Yes!, now you drop the nuts on him” lol Loving the videos cowboy, had 30 hours blind play through then started following your guide, insanely helpful, keep it up.
That spot where he dropped from the rafters into the room with the 4 rats is a great place to farm Rune Arcs. I was able to get about 1 every 1-2 minutes, which is quick with the Grace right outside the room.
For those struggling with Crucible Knight what I've found helpful is to hit him with an R1 when he's just stand blocking and it will almost always trigger his shield bash. Just circle strafe around to his shield side (no roll needed) and you get a free charged R2. When he jumps back to do his flight thing, dodge it and this is the best time to heal if you need to.
Also, Crucible Knight is extremely easy to parry because of its slow attacks. In fact, parrying the Crucible Knight is the _intended_ way to defeat it and makes the fight drastically easier. The only reason Cowboy is finding the Crucible Knight so difficult is because he keeps refusing to parry it to death until forced to do so.
@@svyatoslavrurikovich8831 cowboy is not good at parrying and just because parrying is the easiest way to kill something doesn’t make it the intended way
5 days ago I had never played a souls game before. Today I killed the Crucible Knight thanks to your guide and help! I absolutely love how this game throws enemies at you; almost every boss the game says "you thought you were starting to get good at the game? Time for another lesson." It's engrossing how every big boss is a milestone in humility. I've watched my friends get weeded out and quit the game ranging from the first 10 minutes to getting brick wall'd at Margit. Every first attempt at a new boss make me think "shit, this is impossible." Overcoming that challenge never gets old. And there's so much more to the game I don't know. I'm giddy.
I rage quit Bloodborne after 3 hours. 2 years later i decided to try it again and with Cowboys help I became a soulslike champ. It's amazing how much a person can progress with persistence.
I lost count of how many times I died to the Crucible Knight, but I finally killed him just now without taking any damage whatsoever. Your tutorials are absolutely amazing.
He's still kicking my ass, last time I tried I was level 36 but I'm up to 47 now so I think it's time for me to go kick his ass for all those fucking shield sweeps 😂
@@tmacthaskydiver8310 do the L2 attack with the sword. I kept doing that and dodging him and I was able to kill him without being hit once. I tried parrying him but got my ass handed to me.
I appreciate your walkthroughs so much man! This isn't the first and I'm sure it won't be the last. This isn't my first souls game so I was really hyped about an open world take on it in a different setting. However wandering around aimlessly didn't sound like much fun but I also didn't wanna ruin the "blind" experience so I just let you point me in the right direction, clear whatever area on my own and then go back and watch your walkthrough thoroughly just to see if I'm missing out on anything or anything key to the game. You're the man dude I can't believe how much content you're pumping out on this game as well. It doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated brother 🗣🙏🏼 you were already one of my favorite RUclipsrs!
Another great video. I've got a tip for the Crucible Knight for anybody struggling. Use the No Skill ash on your heater shield. This will allow you to use the Bloodhound's Fang's Weapon Art. As he slowly approaches you, use the art. It'll devastate his health bar. Hit the R2 as soon as you can and you'll lunge forward with the Weapon Art's follow-up. I was able to take him down on my first attempt this way. It took most of my flasks but we got there. Just a suggestion for anyone who is having trouble.
This is how I beat him!! Parrying was just not going well. Took 20 tries but when I finally used the weapon art it was pretty easy Bc how strong we are
"Ooh he's down. Yeah! Now you drop your nuts on them. To do this, you rapidly press the left stick down over and over again. Until, he's tasted the balls of your character." Nice quote 👍💪👏🙌
Been watching your walkthrough on my 2nd character here and cant believe how much crap ive missed just in these beginning areas and ive been thorough as hell. This game is insane, you're insane for how much love and care you put into your work and we all appreciate you man.
Cowboy, your videos are great. I followed them from the first to the last, but in some of them, when you won the trophies, mine didn't appear, so I went back to the beginning and here we go again! I know you've already finished the videos for this episode, but in this green area that you said there was nothing, on the rocks I found a rune number 4, then take a look there! Be careful with the giant crab. Thanks for your videos. I hope to get the platinum this time.
I’ve noticed if you put down messages and people praise them you get healed. This helped me with this guy lol. I was dying and I healed right after it got appraised before I died
Nice cowboy! I've been on night shift this week and really enjoying following along on my 3rd character an episode or two every morning before work. This video came out at the perfect time! It's absolutely insane the amount of stuff I missed on TWO other characters, like that dragon island with the dragon magic???? Didn't know it was a thing.
I can't believe it man. I followed your guide with delay, that is, you said you were going X, so I went there first to experience it and then watched you play it (after exploring for some hours and probably speeding up some quests unknowingly. I hated the Crucible Knight when I first tried it in my first 10h of game. I read guides about parrying, but I can barely parry 20% of normal enemy attacks. I saw you in this episode going for it, inspired me the courage to try it again. I decided I would just use the bloodhound double handed. Only dodging and attacking. Shield on the back, I won't need it. I started really good. Dodge, dodge, dodge. Hit. Dodge, dodge, mistake, back back flask. Ahter 5min I put him at 20% HP. I ran out of hp flasks. He hit me and put me at 20% as well. It was a face to face, one hit away from dying. No mistakes allowed. Then, I hit him twice, one more and he's done. But I think: no. Don't be greedy. Dodge again, look for the window opportunity. And then.... He tasted my balls. I feel so fucking complete. This is my first Souls game. I love it.
With the Crucible Knight I highly recommend to use the rocks and trees. When you are on top of the rock he has to jump on top of it to hit you which leaves him wide open for a fully charged heavy everytime! As for the trees his attacks range are very limited around them. Hope this helps because he's a BEAST and figuring that out helped me a ton! ✊🏾
For the crucible night fight if you’ve been following the guide and are using the bloodhound’s fang I would suggest that you abuse the bloodhounds finesse just getting of one of the two attacks causes a lot of damage. What was easiest for me was to use the first attack before he got close then get off the second attack right as he’s in range to avoid damage but still get the hit off.
What helped me with crucible knight is after attacking him dodge back, also circling him rather than rolling away gives you a better chance to attack after he does his heavy attacks opening him up for an attack
Hey Cowboy, I was exploring as I waited for this video to upload and found Tombsward Cave south of Weeping Evergoal. You get a nomadic cookbook from this. Thanks for the videos they have been a great help.
Btw if you read the description of the whip found in the fort it hints at being effective against the boss with the grafted sword. The whip staggers it very easily!
Doesn't really hint @ that but is indeed really very effective, underrated tip as it allowed me to cheese that boss @ a low level, muchas gracias ! (felt like a circus trainer 😏ah, this game :)
I've watched your walkthroughs on Sekiro, DS1, DS3 and Demon's Souls. So while I am now more than comfortable enough with fromsoft titles to complete them on my own, I couldn't help but tune into this one after my initial playthrough. I can easily say souls games have become my favorite titles ever released by far, but it's thanks to you I didn't give up on myself a few years ago on my first souls game, Sekiro. And since then with every soulsbourne game I play you have been my go to guide for whenever I am having trouble, thanks for the awesome work and for giving me some insight into how much more these games are than just "hard lol, git gud lol". Can't wait to finish another souls game with you cowboy.
The crucible knight was hell for me as I've never played any dark souls games. Watching this walkthrough has helped me significantly. I found that learning the knights moves and dodging and sprinting behind him with power attacks was the best move. I think the tree and rock help was patched cuz he didn't even jump up he just walked and hit me right away. What an invigorating experience killing the knight tho. Whew.
The only thing you missed besides the deathbird outside the castle that i know of is the sombering crystal on the east beach. The rune pack in the poison swamp. The warping scarab that drops poison cloud and the rune pack western beach That invader in the round table hold. Don't attack him right away. You'll get a gesture
first timer to dark souls type games. very thankful for the walk through, all the small breakdowns of the items and stuff really helps me get a better grasp of how things work. was getting annoyed with the difficulty when playing but going through the steps you showed have made it more enjoyable and fun. thanks!!
The Balls were Tasted but good. TASTE BALLS CRUCIBLE. Nice one mate bunch of Scotsmen cheering for you there. Well played. Did great job of staying real close to him and he couldnt hit you. Nice.Thnx been enjoying entire playthru and following you the whole way thus far.
Hi Cowboy, you missed a Death Bird right at the start ( unless you already got it earlier). Going from the grace you started the video at, it's on the right side of the map as you're heading to Castle Morn, near a square structure on the map. Fantastic guide as usual 👍
I am on New Game + 10 and Level 599 on Xbox, obviously with my end goal of max level. Every NG+ is a full clear .. all items and enemies, yes i'm psycho lol Cowboy, i'm really hoping once I geet through this walkthrough you have one for the DLC. I love your content .. never stop!!
PROUD MOMENT: i just beat the Crucible Guard on my 2nd try following the guide, I have 2 more extra points in Dexterity & Strenght than cowboy, but proud of the moment, and want to say thanks cowboy. Everyone else, keep on pushing through. WE Got This !!
Man I just have to say there is so much stuff I would’ve missed if it wasn’t for you. I love finding stuff out for myself with any game, but your walkthroughs have helped me in so many ways from Dark Souls 1 to now Elden Ring. Definitely gained a sub from me👍🏼
I was rooting so much for you to beat the Crucible Knight! Yay! Job's done! Thank you for your walkthrough. I've been following your guide and now I feel more confident playing this game. Greetings from Brazil.
Did a blind playthrough and couldn't figure out how to get into Raya Lucaria. Been watching your videos on my second playthrough as a bow build and they are so helpful! Honestly enjoying the game more playing alongside you. Thanks for the irreplaceable help!
These walk-throughs are perfect... I've used them for all the souls game and this one is just a good. Shame we've got to wait for episodes😂 just spent my only day off since the game came out (after "elden ring Holiday of 2 days" playingthrough).. Game has me craving more😭😂
Man the skill off this weapon is insane. I beat the Crucible Knight first try with it as it dodges under his attacks, wait a sec and use the charge to dodge his second swing. I staggered that bear with one combo. Used it on the invader in round table and almost 2 shotted her. Love this weapon. Thanks again Cowboy!
Me too bro. Crucible knight is such a great mini boss that it ranks higher for me than most bosses here. The amount of times he can attack and the way he times that charging attack for when you heal is amazing, that you are like fighting a real life character and not an AI boss. Just amazing.
Another great walkthrough, the castle reminds me so much from DS1. Now onto an even bigger castle which is way more reminisce of DS1 with all the different paths and routes. Keep up the good work and see you in the next one. Also remember to use the password "fcb" for the community 👍
Broooo you are the goat, this is my first play through, to be honest, couldn't get through it myself, this has made one of the greatest games of all time playable, much love and appreciate the immense effort you put into these videos
Hey Cowboy.. just want to say thank you for providing this awesome walkthrough... Im an older player and this really helps me enjoy the game so much more.. love the dark souls games. I am enjoying your cheerful conversation too... cheers
After defeating misbegotten and getting grafted sword go back to Edgar and talk to him. He will then go back to irini and you can talk to him at her corpse.
at the 0:38 mark when he gets the golden seed there are is a ruin segment next to it. If you run along it a death bird will appear and when defeated it drops the sacrificial axe
A tip if you're following along with cowboys build: the bloodhounds finesse kills crucible knight pretty quick and warps through his attacks. I was struggling hard till I started using it.
Still following this guide. Love it, idc if its my first playthrough and im following it. I am enjoying it so much with this walkthrough. Loved the crucible knight saga, made me laugh haha. Keep up the great work brother.
I said it in the last vid but crucible knight is based on patience. Roll and ONE HIT. On phase two (with tail) roll TWICE then ONE HIT. No need to block, parry, jump, etc. When you need to heal, RUN. You will not be safe with one or two rolls, his lounge will close the gap. That will also bait his basic attack. Rinse, repeat.
sadly this really only applies if it take more then two hits to die to him, as my mage I had to be a parry god to kill him. also most people don't want to take 10+ minutes per attempt.
@@zackdeross5094 With that method you won't be getting hit unless one gets greedy. Crucible knight is one of the most telegraphic enemies in the game. Now for a mage build I could see it being tough due to casting speed. If the spell doesn't pop off before he turns around, you're in trouble. Other than that, his moves are fairly easy to read. If his left knee comes up (your right if you're facing him) he will stomp. Just jump. The only tricky atk from him Imo is the sword drag. The timing can vary, sometimes it's a quick charge, sometimes it's a tad longer. That one I'd either parry or if someone isn't comfortable with that, make distance. I took him out pretty early so he was one hitting me. I had to have his pattern DOWN. Now his spear counterpart is a bit tougher in his second phase but by then most players will be beefy enough to take a few hits.... hopefully 😅
If you're having trouble with the Crucible Knight (i suck at parrying), I did the same thing with what Cowboy did with the Physick + Fire Grease, and what I did was spam him with Light attacks. It will open him up to a crit window. Physick will help you spam light atk and with the window, and with the fire grease still up, he'll be at 1/4 life in the 2nd phase and you can spam again after he does his first swoop attack. Thanks Cowboy for the guide!!! Went straight to Elden after finishing DS1 with your guide :)
Just a comment on the Larval Tears needed for respec, I found that you can farm them from the giant silver ball mimic things in Nokron, the lost city. They respawn after rest. I got one to drop every single time except for once, so the drop rate seems high.
I’ve been using your walkthroughs as a guide, I watch and see where your gonna go than I pause and go there and once I’m finished I watch what you did to see if I missed anything. The boss in morn was easy, I summoned the guy you talk to for help plus my Skeletons and they basically crept the boss stagger locked the entire fight.
Beat the game when it came out and put in like 300 hours. Was quite disappointed on all the side quests I missed. Looking forward to getting platinum now, lol there’s no way I would be able to do this alone!!!
For crucible knight : Only heal when his shield is up, he is slow at that time and you wanna heal then, do not attack then. Attack other times. 3 rolls will take you of harms way usually. Stategy : Dodge and attack on opening , heal when shild is up . Use your skill for the weapon.
You can kite the pumpkinhead in the first room to the misbegotten on the pile and he'll kill them all. And I think you're meant to do Morne before Stormveil. It introduces you to all the castle-related mechanics, the enemy types (flying especially), lifts, and platforming you need to get through Stormveil.
There was another ladder to go down before the grace you dropped to after talking to Edgar. Has 2 dudes to kill and another item. Edit: If you wait a second before attacking the roundtable invader, you get an emote from him.
I am absolutely loving these walkthroughs! This is by far the most expansive of the Soulsborne games and I prefer this one over the others I have played! Thank you, Cowboy!!!
In the video where you first showednus Crucible Knight. I couldnt accept defeat so i took my +4 Reduvia and the blue round shield and just yoloed only ever hitting him once or twice in a row slowly poking him to death and after +30 tries he died Things ive learned: After doing the winged attack he can end most combos in a tail sweep that does a little dmg through shielda and he can slightly delay it - after the stomp when he does the double spin u can hit 3 dagger attacks or a heavy from a great sword - when he charges with his shield wait a short moment then roll inwards -always stay close to him and roll inwards or to his side never back unless he finishes a combo - when he flies up and pierces you, you can block it doesnt do dmg and regens stamina fast enough, also dont attack him there back off and cast spell/incantation or heal up - use a dagger or faster weapon
what I've started doing with your tutorial videos is follow your path collecting all the goodies on the way, but take the larger areas/ boss fights on my own when I'm there. I simply wouldn't have the time to do a completely blind playthrough but I love the tutorial videos cause they've been so useful for a sense of direction in this game, thanks!
Note: you can summon Edgar for this fight. I'm not sure if me seeing Irina dead after talking to him or simply reloading the area is what triggered his sign for me
I got the Crucible Knight finally with my Heavy Zweihander +6 along with the War Cry Ash of War. Took me a bit, but he eventually succumbed to the bass cannon!
Man, I remember on my first playthrough, with zero guidance, I spent more than a day just on crucible knight (think I fought him before Margot). Flying through the game with your start- game is night and day when you know what you're doing.
If anyone is stuck on the crucible knight I just fought it 30+ times and I couldn’t do it - just realized with the shield out doing the blood fang specual move tears him apart from afar since you auto jump away just roll twice after
I'm still dealing with getting stun locked and cheesed to death. I keep leveling up but there doesnt really seem to be any rhyme or reason to the damage.
I used the skill on the blade you are using for the crucible knight and it did all the work for me in that fight, along with timing rolls and blocks and heals thanks for all your helpful walk through
Btw fellow bloodfang peeps who are playing along right now, you got to use the weapon skill for damage like it's sooo good, it does good damage and then takes you back to a safe distance as well and if possible you can use the follow up heavy attack for damage OR running away as needed

I hope you did every playthrough xD
So he didn’t actually do the irena quest here
Thank you
You can actually lure the pumpkin guy to the group and he mostly takes care of them, if it is overwhelming for anybody
Good shout thanks.. someone should write an in-game message with that tip!
holy crap dude thanks, dealing with all of them is so exhausting lol.
Best part of the video is his tutorial on how to properly t-bag the crucible knight, lol. Well fought, cowboy.
Im not a 51 yo veteran gamer and I’ve been playing souls games for quite some time now thanks for all the help and guidance
There's a golden seed if you go through the gap towards the castle from the grace and travel up a hill to the right. Thanks so much for the guides, super useful. Your hard work is really appreciated.
What minutes in the video?
I have to say my friend, this is my first fromsoftware game and your walkthrough has been a god sent, before I payed £50 and died loads, ended up hating this game.
Tried your walkthroughs and my god I love it now, I find myself excited about the next chapter to follow along to, your awesome man thank you.
James from England 💪
Same lol I hated the game at first because I didn't follow the grace and went to caelid first by accident and died over 100 times
“Yes!, now you drop the nuts on him” lol Loving the videos cowboy, had 30 hours blind play through then started following your guide, insanely helpful, keep it up.
I am a 238 year old Nordic god gamer and beating this game without this walkthrough would be almost impossible
That spot where he dropped from the rafters into the room with the 4 rats is a great place to farm Rune Arcs. I was able to get about 1 every 1-2 minutes, which is quick with the Grace right outside the room.
Not anymore, they patched it
@@zionfield poop. Good thing I stocked up when I did.
@@svyatoslavrurikovich8831 cowboy is not good at parrying and just because parrying is the easiest way to kill something doesn’t make it the intended way
Wish I would have read this pryer man knights a beast.
There’s a safe spot I totally found by accident yesterday where he can’t hit you unless you get too close and he’s stuck there
@@bordewick82 Definitely don't say where that spot is, as otherwise people might find it as well :p.
He needs a montage of all his Crucible Knight deaths.
@@blainewalton1210 thanks man! Gonna give it another crack when I get on a little later.. I'll let you know how it works out for me bro 🙏🏼
@@blainewalton1210 and yea I bought that buckler parry shield thinking that was gonna give me the edge I needed... needless to say but it was not lmao
If you're struggling with boss there is a gold summons to the left of the boss entrance. It's hard to see until your right up on it.
I literally did the same exact thing
Another great video. I've got a tip for the Crucible Knight for anybody struggling. Use the No Skill ash on your heater shield. This will allow you to use the Bloodhound's Fang's Weapon Art. As he slowly approaches you, use the art. It'll devastate his health bar. Hit the R2 as soon as you can and you'll lunge forward with the Weapon Art's follow-up. I was able to take him down on my first attempt this way. It took most of my flasks but we got there. Just a suggestion for anyone who is having trouble.
Not all hero's wear capes.....Great info helped me big time!
No ashes on shields so far in the game for me have been clutch
This is how I beat him!! Parrying was just not going well. Took 20 tries but when I finally used the weapon art it was pretty easy Bc how strong we are
@@EventhorizonShadows Yeah, it works so well. I'm terrible at parrying (for now) so I'll be sticking to that weapon art for the time being.
@@jakemacias5811 agreed. I shoulda practiced more in the beginning. We’ll be iight tho
FWI for those fighting Mad Tongue , if you wait a moment after he spawns you can learn the Reverential Bow emote from him
31:50 The most amazing and chad quote you'll ever hear, trust me I won't disappoint.
"Ooh he's down. Yeah! Now you drop your nuts on them. To do this, you rapidly press the left stick down over and over again. Until, he's tasted the balls of your character." Nice quote 👍💪👏🙌
😶🌫
Hands down. THEE best guide for Elden Ring. 12/10 would recommend.
Thanks for the tip! First time playing through and as samurai, made my life so easy with bloody slash
i literally love u
thank you
For the crucible night fight if you’ve been following the guide and are using the bloodhound’s fang I would suggest that you abuse the bloodhounds finesse just getting of one of the two attacks causes a lot of damage. What was easiest for me was to use the first attack before he got close then get off the second attack right as he’s in range to avoid damage but still get the hit off.
31:52 was the most important lesson from this video. Thank you, Cowboy!
Lol
What helped me with crucible knight is after attacking him dodge back, also circling him rather than rolling away gives you a better chance to attack after he does his heavy attacks opening him up for an attack
I used flame coat along with the sword skill he has to beat him
@@robertjackson2142 yes!! The skill art for the bloodhounds fang is soo good! ESP when the boss is going to to the step forward and stab.
He was so easy on my mage build.
Ty so much I couldnt beat that guy in the roundtable hold to save my life lmaooothe whip is pretty much an insta stagger
Also fire staggers the boss as well as all of the enemy’s through the level!
Nice job on taking down the Crucible Knight. I'm happy I wasn't the only one having such a hard time with them.
Enjoyed seeing you finally getting the crucible knight 💪🏾
Crucible knight tip, theres a rock on that arena that you can use to get him stuck and cheese him, plz like so everyone can see it.
The warping scarab that drops poison cloud and the rune pack western beach
That invader in the round table hold. Don't attack him right away. You'll get a gesture
i got the gesture because i let him come to me
Use storm wall on shield to parry easily
Get golden vow on dagger to buff
first timer to dark souls type games. very thankful for the walk through, all the small breakdowns of the items and stuff really helps me get a better grasp of how things work. was getting annoyed with the difficulty when playing but going through the steps you showed have made it more enjoyable and fun.
Yeah he missed it, he pinned a comment about it in the last video IIRC

The time stamp showing crucible knight as final boss is top tier 😂
I luv the crucible knights fighting them is a lot of fun I’ve learned his patterns and move sets so I enjoy fighting them💪
Bloodhound fangs are op bro
Me too bro. Crucible knight is such a great mini boss that it ranks higher for me than most bosses here. The amount of times he can attack and the way he times that charging attack for when you heal is amazing, that you are like fighting a real life character and not an AI boss. Just amazing.
I started watching your videos for a better understanding of the story, and you packed this great with rich info.
Before going through mist and fighting Leonine Misbegotten at about 17minutes, there is a summons on the left by the door for Castellan Edgar.
I struggled so much my blind play through thanks 2 u my knight is badass this guy got dropped ur first time thank u
at the 0:38 mark when he gets the golden seed there are is a ruin segment next to it. If you run along it a death bird will appear and when defeated it drops the sacrificial axe
thanks!
A tip if you're following along with cowboys build: the bloodhounds finesse kills crucible knight pretty quick and warps through his attacks. I was struggling hard till I started using it.
16:44 Leonine Misbegotten - 17:23
18:45 Mad Tongue Alberich
29:34 Crucible Knight - 31:50
Important to note: Mad Tongue Alberich will give you the Reverential Bow if you don't attack him immediately. Show respect in pvp, even against NPCs.
Tried that, and it looks like they've patched it. They only drop one now the first time you beat them individually.
Yea, they should have added a quest log to the game. It's too easy to miss them and lock them out because you didn't know it was there.
@@knight_flyer1199 on episode 21! Woot woot, slow and steady :)
Thank you, Cowboy!!!
if anyone is having trouble on the crucible knight you can use your skill on bloodhounds fang to hit and dodge but only use it on certain attacks
That worked for me too. L2/R2 at the beginning and then when he gives you an opening. Dodge and circle him otherwise.
In the video where you first showednus Crucible Knight. I couldnt accept defeat so i took my +4 Reduvia and the blue round shield and just yoloed only ever hitting him once or twice in a row slowly poking him to death and after +30 tries he died
Things ive learned:
After doing the winged attack he can end most combos in a tail sweep that does a little dmg through shielda and he can slightly delay it
- after the stomp when he does the double spin u can hit 3 dagger attacks or a heavy from a great sword
- when he charges with his shield wait a short moment then roll inwards
-always stay close to him and roll inwards or to his side never back unless he finishes a combo
- when he flies up and pierces you, you can block it doesnt do dmg and regens stamina fast enough, also dont attack him there back off and cast spell/incantation or heal up
- use a dagger or faster weapon
You didn't return to Edgar to hand in his quest? I was wondering what's the fastest shortcut to get back to him.
what I've started doing with your tutorial videos is follow your path collecting all the goodies on the way, but take the larger areas/ boss fights on my own when I'm there. I simply wouldn't have the time to do a completely blind playthrough but I love the tutorial videos cause they've been so useful for a sense of direction in this game, thanks!
You can open with a backstab on the invader if you just walk around him as he's spawning in. He paused before doing anything for a second.
I'm always trying to sneak in for pokes on unsuspecting enemies lol
Thank you for your guides, Cobwoy. You are the best.
I can't wait for the complete walkthrough!
Who else beat cruisable knight, first encounter in walkthrough 3 and is just watching our man’s struggle
Man, I remember on my first playthrough, with zero guidance, I spent more than a day just on crucible knight (think I fought him before Margot). Flying through the game with your start- game is night and day when you know what you're doing.
If anyone is stuck on the crucible knight I just fought it 30+ times and I couldn’t do it - just realized with the shield out doing the blood fang specual move tears him apart from afar since you auto jump away just roll twice after
Yes two of those and a few light swings and he’s done for, this fight wasn’t that hard for me.
Fantastic, thanks! Got him easy using this method!
Hi buddy, I'm waiting for part 11 I do not know what to do without your guides, I know I know, you work so hard for this, I'll wait
I'm still dealing with getting stun locked and cheesed to death. I keep leveling up but there doesnt really seem to be any rhyme or reason to the damage.
try dodging instead of mashing attack maybe??
I had to restart castle mourne because I went to the grace before watching the part of the video where you say “don’t go to the grace” 😂
I used the skill on the blade you are using for the crucible knight and it did all the work for me in that fight, along with timing rolls and blocks and heals thanks for all your helpful walk through

The prep work you walked us through in the beginning made these boss fights so easy. Only one I've struggled with a but was the creepy bird thing.
Facts
Btw fellow bloodfang peeps who are playing along right now, you got to use the weapon skill for damage like it's sooo good, it does good damage and then takes you back to a safe distance as well and if possible you can use the follow up heavy attack for damage OR running away as needed
