This episode we focus on wrapping up the Weeping Peninsula including Earthbore Cave, Morne Tunnel, and finally we tackle the Tree Sentinel. I had overlooked it but around 30:19 when I mentioned a seed, just west of that spot is a Death Bird at night time, we'll tackle him in an upcoming episode. In terms of platinum there was no key items to worry about this episode.
Just wanted to say thanks for all of these. Also, I found the 3rd location for Grape Lady if ur still looking - she’s just north of Gate Town Bridge - grace to the east of Academy Gate town.
Apologies if you go to it later on in this video, but at 17:43 there is another grace a bit more east of you, I'd say around northwest-ish by that body of water :)
FightinCowboy, you mention that you feel anxious about doing the walkthrough due to the scope of the game. I just want to say that these videos have been fantastic and I hope that you'll continue to put them out and not lose steam. These have been filled to the brim with awesome information. Your walkthrough series has been so good that it inspired me to pick up Dark Souls 3 and tackle that walkthrough series as you continue to upload these. Thank you for everything!
For those of us that don't play games as a side hustle, your guides take a stressful, difficult and rather arduous experience and turn it into something a little more casual and fun. I have a full time job, a wife, and a 5 month old baby boy. I also split my spare time with making music. I'll have time for one solid playthrough and I'd rather not spend days dying in an area that I have no business being in and missing loads of valuable content.
me too. i would love to have the time to explore this game on my own but if i would do this then maybe this game is the last game i will ever play in my life.
100% agree with this.. and I think it's because of what you mentioned.. I have a family and all that. I wanted to got into elden ring because it was a goty but I quickly learned I was basically a fish out of water starting out spending alot of time just trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do. I use this as an escape.. I suppose if I was still single and had more time maybe I'd give the whole blind thing a try .....
Yup. Same exact boat. Just had our first baby a month ago. I no longer have full days worth of free time to just explore the game with no guidance. I gotta try to pack meaningful content into smaller windows of time if I want to progress at a decent rate.
Bought Elden Ring, played it for an hour, gave up and put it down for a year. Never played one of these souls type games before, not really my thing, however, your guide video is making this game finally enjoyable and actually making me look forward to playing this game. Thank you for the time you invested in putting this together! Much appreciated by a first timer who’s never played anything with such depth, scale, or challenge like this before. This guide has made me no longer regret buying this game!
Yes! This! Bought it day one, ran around and did the kill the big dragon cheese-saw it was a cool game and understood the hype but went back to Destiny 2 grind and never made it back. Been itching for a big open-world and everyone is talking about tho one again due to the DLC drop… I threw it on and found this. Loving it and fully understand that my enjoyment is because of these videos. Thank you so much! I think that I’ll probably end up getting the DLC. Most likely if you made videos for it, idk if you did because I’m only as far in as this video lol. Thanks again cowboy!
So funny how cowboy says this should be for a second or third play. I tried exploring weeping peninsula on my own after following the first 8 videos and the game went right back to being miserable again. So thankful for these guides. They’re literally the way to make the game enjoyable
also may sound kinda cringey but its enjoyable because its like you're experiencing the game for the first time with someone rather than on our own: basically, he keeps us company 😂😅
This. Souls 1, 2 & 3 I can play following wiki guides, etc. Or just by learning myself. But this one, there's just way too much to do when learning it does make it miserable.
For anyone like myself whos extremely limited on the time they can spend playing, I greatly appreciate being able to follow a walkthrough such as this. I just dont have the time to spend exploring everything myself unfortunately, so with that I want to say thanks!!! PS Followed your DS2 Dark Magic Playthrough way back when and that was FUUUN as hell man, thanks!
I know how you feel. The game was released just 4 months after my daughter was born and within 2 weeks I had my copy lol. After several sessions of running around blind and not knowing where the fuck to go, I pulled up Cowboy's walkthrough and just finished my first full playthrough last week and got my platinum! First game I've EVER gotten 100% on and good fuckin GOD it was a slog
Yo Cowboy, I couldn’t even play this game without your guidance, I don’t have time to figure all this shit out (I’m 50 with teenagers.) With your help I’m having a blast with this game and I know a lot of other players are in the same boat as me. Thanks Cowboy!
i know you don't recommend following your walk through first play through, but for someone who never got into a soul's game i'm having a blast following it. i explore on my own after each video and I'm not left feeling overwhelmed like i did the first day before i found your channel
Big facts. I was running around for 30 minutes still didn't have Torrent ,clueless on how to get himwas running around killing the first few soldiers over and over again. God I was lost.
I'm 81 hours into this game but I looooove watching this walkthrough as an unwind (and to see some of the things I missed while scuttling about and playing blind). can't get over the wild amount of care and dedication you've put into these guides. it's incredible
So let me ask, do you think its a good idea to follow his walkthrough for a 1st timer? Is he fighting all the bosses? I want to do this especially the opening up parts of the map or tips to reach certain areas, but we've beat a good number of bosses I dont want to beat everything and have nothing for later.
@@tonyphills6075 hmm good question - I think the goal of this walkthrough was to get everything needed for platnium so that includes every boss tied to a trophy and collecting lots of items and weapons/spells you may miss otherwise. that being said this game is so big, and there's so much build diversity, that even if you followed this for your first playthrough I don't think it'd be an issue? it really comes down to what you find fun and how you like to play games - do whatever you enjoy I reckon :D
@@tonyphills6075 Based on his other guides this guy goes for everything possible (all bosses, items, endings, questlines). He is such a perfectionist he will get every single item in the game even if it is absolutely useless. In elden ring i doubt he will find everything but just so you know it will be pretty complete
I just wanted to say I tried playing blind and got killed again and again. I was about to put the game down, but I decided to try it with a walkthru. Hence I found yours and I have been addicted to elden ring ever since. I feel that I can talk to my co workers and friends that play without feeling lost. Thank you for being enthusiastic, and very informative about this walkthru. I have recommended it to several friends too. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS GAME GREAT FOR ME!
If you talk to “wolf man” after receiving the somber smithing stone(2) he will tell you he has a “giant blacksmith friend to the north” when you talk to Smithing Master Iji go through the content until “bladd sent me” once done you can purchase the Carina Filgreed Crest from the blacksmith which lowers FP consumed by skills. Hope this helps a little. Also tremendous videos. Thanks a lot. It really has made the game worth having.
I understand the point you make about the blind play through. But as someone who doesn’t have any souls experience this guide has been so useful to help me actually understand how the game works. I have followed to this point and now that I have a good start, understand the game mechanics, and appreciate the true scope of the world. I feel confident about heading out on my own. A tip of the hat to you Cownoy.
I was always a huge fan of the souls games and I hadn't realized how much I missed until I saw your walkthroughs. It baffled me how you put those together so thoroughly and couldn't imagine the work that went into them. Brilliant stuff you put out man, thanks for helping us all truly get everything these games have to offer and taking the time to put these together!
this my first time playing a game like this. And i like playing with ur guide. Gives me a sense of what to do, im not clueless. Its like you’re teaching me and i have fun with the game along with it
Same. I have a full time job and a wife and a 5 month old baby boy to take care of. I'll barely have time for one full playthrough, much less multiple. Following the guide takes a stressful, difficult game and turns into a casual experience. Much more enjoyable.

Shield of the guilty can be looted from the chest down stairs in the Demi-Human ruins. Interesting fact about the Demi-Human ruin boss. If you run in and kill him. All his minions become terrified and just stand there whimpering with their hands on their heads and will never move.
2:13 I love that you take others’ experiences for their first playthrough into consideration and it is well said and usually true, but for my personal experience and for this particular game, I quit after the first four hours and then I found your walkthrough guides. You have saved this game for me, as I likely would have never touched it again. It was horrific and confusing, no idea what I was doing. I do explore more outside of your videos, these make sure I’m on the right track and don’t miss anything. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your life to make this game for me and many others truly enjoyable regardless of it not mostly being blind. I commend you entirely for taking on this task to help others like me who hunt platinum trophies. Tytyty and much love ❤
this is my first play through and I'm following this guide. I would never, ever in a million years gotten this far in this game without this play through lol I just wanted to experience this game and im having fun following these videos!
I was thinking of what you said in the first couple of minutes. I tried this game 3 times and each ended up in a rage quit, it was my first souls game and since then I've played sekiro and Bloodborne, so I thought I could finally tackle it. I use your tutorials for guidance, as to where I should be heading. I try to tackle the caves and bosses blindly first and then play your own episode to see if I've missed anything. Thank you so much for your hard, dedicated work!! You've made me fall In love with FromSoftware games, as I watched all the tutorials for the previously mentioned games. You're amazing!
As for anxiety, do anything at your own pace. As long as you're happy and confident in yourself and your work, it's all that matters. People are gonna feel the love and passion youve offered the game and us.
There is a deathbird just beside the night boss you killed(Night's Cavalry). You have to go towards Castle Morne and then take the first quick right. Continue to go over the rocks and you can find one.
@@FightinCowboy additionally, there's a night boss at the warmaster's shack, though the reward isn't really worth the effort imo, it's a bell bearing that let's you buy bones. He's quite tough early game, though. Same moveset as the darth vader dude in the poison castle on altus plateau.
Hey man, Great Walkthrough! I was running this game blind for 50 hrs but just could not get a clear sense of objectives going. Your guides always give a proper sense of "game line" that I feel is invaluable in a play through. Simply put,,,,,, I would not be playing these games without your work. Thanks so much!!
There is no way I would have the time to walkthrough everything on my own and keep my job, wife, kids and dog! You're also making this a much more enjoyable experience. Thanks so much for the work you have done on this.
Gradually working my way through Elden ring while at home with Covid, I go through an area and then sit back with a drink and watch your Videos to see if there was anything I missed, plus it gives me a laugh when I need it most. Thanks Cowboy.
I am using this guide on my first play through for one of the best reasons ever. I got this game a couple days after the release; I played for an hour or two, didn’t know what to do, didn’t know how to do anything, and I’ve never even played a soulslike before in my life. I put Elden Ring in the “closet” to just sit there for almost 3 whole years. This guide, truly, has brought me into a passion for the game and is helping me progress through other soulslikes just base on the knowledge that I’m gaining from this on my first play through. I can’t express my gratitude to you for guiding me through this game and helping me to experience this masterpiece for the first time ever.
Hey cowboy it is my first playthrough, I tried playing without your walkthroughs but I get lost snd say fuck it, the first playthrough using your walkthrough makes the game enjoyable for people like me who get overwhelmed with all this content and it's cool if you make a mistake you are human but thank you for what you do
yeah man, fuck doing it blind. Im not a good gamer and usually ill just get stuck in games if i dont constantly look up the next thing to do. I'll always watch cowboys vids first time or 10th
Literally just wrote this…. As much as I’d like to experience the shock of this world without a guide. I don’t have the ( time & patience ) combined to sit here and stumble my way through everything. This guide streamlines the entire experience which is extremely convenient for me. As cool as this game is I don’t want to spend 100+ hours stumbling my way through the game. If I’m going to spend that type of time, I’d rather be sharp on the way through it.
brother, my souls experience is directly tied and supremely enjoyed by following you for my first experience, thank you for all your work in it I really enjoy following your videos
I have been following these play throughs after i have already explored the area. It is nice for me being my first time playing a game like this, i get to experience it on my own but then i get to go back and see/do things that i may have missed. Thank you for all of the time you are putting into these videos.
Your walk throughs made the game 100x more enjoyable Cowboy! I bought the game when it came out (first from soft game for me) and within the first couple hours I gave up and put it away. A year later I came across your videos and beat this game! On my second play through now, COWBOY YOUR THE GREATEST!
21:40 Cowboy you broke my heart!!! I am 50 hrs into game and was approaching every unknown chest with that familiar thrill. But seriously, I love what you do. Been following your guides since DS I. Keep it up!
Theres a death bird to the south of the area near where the golden seed is. The swamp area is good for poisonbloom and there is a golden rune 4 on the cliffs. There is also a somber smithing stone near some red glowy jellyfish on the beach near the castle
Hey man I can tell you're genuine and I totally agree that just following a guide blindly takes the fun out of experiences. Maybe just because this is my first fromsoftware game, but I'm genuinely having fun following this because you teach so much throughout the videos. I even went to guides before this but they were missing out on questions I had. I totally agree like if I started playing a year ago maybe exploring on my own is the way to go but throughout this I'm learning so much that when the next soulsgame comes out or the next one I play I won't need a guide and I'll be able to understand the game as I explore. Also as far as spoilers I appreciate you saying at the beginning of the video where you're going to explore because I didn't want the areas to be spoiled so I'm glad you said that. I doubt you'll see this but again ty for being genuine 💛
FightinCowboy, thank you so much your amazing guides, you are the reason I got into souls-games when Bloodborne came out and I found your guides. You raise a very important point @ 1:50 that I have struggled with myself. I'm playing Elden Ring for the first time now and have followed all your walkthroughs up until this video. I'm struggling to pick a side because on one-hand I don't have all day to play games so the time I spend I want to feel like I'm accomplishing something (and not just getting frustrated banging my head against a wall). On the other, I miss that feeling of when I played Bloodborne without your guide on my first playthrough, and while it was frustrating, it was rewarding, so I'm torn.
Even though I’ve ran through most of these areas on my own, I still love to watch these walkthroughs just in case there might b something I missed. Which has been the case for a few items haha. Love these walkthroughs I wish we had more than 1 a day! But I know you’re on overload with this content Cowboy and workin hard.
Same for me! What I like to do is beat out an area. Limgrave for example, then go back and watch his video to make sure I didn't miss anything big. Which more times than not, I have lol
@@CaptHandsome exactly, but that got me into trouble with volcano manor cause I beat Rykard before doing the last request from Tanith and Bernal and now I’m locked out from getting that final reward talisman from Tanith 😅😅 but I guess that’s what happens when you’re playing the game on your own. You just happen to miss things. Gives me another reason to do another playthrough though I guess lol.
@@Tchula-lol Ok thanks for responding. So that means he's going to complete the whole games and i'll have to stop following these videos because I do want to experience it. But these are the best walkthroughs tho
You saying that you don't recommend this walkthrough for the first time run throughs I feel is partially wrong. Your first couple of videos getting players set up, I feel is honestly the best way to start before a full blind playthrough. I cant tell you how many times I gave up on these games because I would be stuck with some crap gear for days because I never knew where to find anything better. It helps ease the frustration.
The statement at 1:44 is so well said. I appreciate the element of discovery before I do the element of perfection. I know it's likely that you won't see this but your walkthroughs are concise, easy to follow, and fun to watch. I especially like it that you leave all of the "mistakes" in (whiffing and dying to mobs, boss deaths, etc.). Great work and it seems that your success is warranted. Thank you.
😂 I literally quit the game within a couple hours during my “first playthrough”. I’ve never played a souls game before and didn’t realize what I was committing to. This guide has tremendously helped me enjoy the experience
I did a blind playthrough my 1st game, had 200 hours in that playthrough. NG+ I'm going through the walk-through and have found some stuff I missed already. I've followed your walk-throughs since DS1 and they are the best. Love your content. Thanks for doing these.
I started Dark Souls series with Bloodborne. After I tried some blind run was so close to delete the game because the game was so hard and I was dying all the time also didn’t know where to go and what to do. Than I found your walkthrough… You enlighten me with your guidence and made me enjoy the game… I played Bloodborne for a while with some different classes and then jumped to Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3 and everytime I was following your walkthroughs…Finally we are here…Still watching your videos and still enjoying them… Thanks for all mate god bless you!
Great episode in the walkthrough. Keep up the great work and I'll see you in the next one. You always keep me coming back for more Elden Ring. Also remember "fcb" for the community 👍
I'm using your guide on my first playthrough because I rarely 100% a game and practically never re-play a game. I lost patience trying to figure it out for myself multiple times and am having a great time following you. I tend to just get your directions then pause the guide and figure it out myself. Thankyou for the fantastic walkthrough.
There’s another Lost Grace around 10:00 into the video called “South of the Lookout Tower”. It is directly to the right of the “Ailing Village Outskirts”, about a half inch away on the map, right next to a big cliff.
I’m not gonna lie I was super close to quitting before I found this walkthrough. You are literally the only reason I’m still playing. So thanks. Although it is my first play through I think this walkthrough enhanced my experience.
30:15- If you pause here, you can find poison mist (spell) from a scarab just north of the swamp just before the little platau. At exactly that point in the video, Cowboy kind of hovers his cursor over its location. Also you'll find a smithing stone against south side of that rampart wall, you'll see a misbegotten warrior attacking it for some reason lol. A rune item on the highest rock in the swamp, a smithing stone and arteria leaf guarded by some red jelly's on the east beach just south of the swamp, rune item guarded by some dogs on the west beach, but all just loose garbage loots but they're there if you want it
I started playing this game with this walkthrough and it did not ruin the experience at all. It’s been a blast and i usually just use this to make sure i don’t miss key items and just use it to follow where to go
I think you've missed the Tombsward Cave as it is well hidden in the Weeping Peninsula just south of the Evergaol. The mini boss there is a giant poisonous flower and you can grab a cookbook which teaches you craftable poisonous greese. The Viridian Amber Medallion found there raises maximum stamina. Great video as always, love your walkthroughs.
Oh thank god I found something he didn’t. Every video I’ve watched so far has shown me locations I missed. It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one completely floored by the scope of this game.
This is my first play through and ill be honest I would’ve quit without you. I try to combine these videos with my own experience. You guide me to spots I would’ve never found or have known to go. I then play around in the area on my own to get ‘my experience’ then when im done I finish the video.
Around 4:30, north of his 3 marker (above the demi-humans) there is a tear for your physick flask, the faith one if i recall correctly, it's surrounded by those small plants that excrete poison
I love experiencing games to the fullest so for me I use your guide on my first play through because I’m not so good with this no mission tracking thing, and I’ll also admit I’m not a souls player so I can’t beat hard stuff without a guide, so for me I use your guide as like main objective thing and then sometimes I explore on my own or go in the catacombs without knowing what’s gonna happen
There is a poison mist incantation in the area highlighted at 30:14 near Castle Morne. Need to go a little more north of the area and a black ball is there for the incantation but it disappears very fast as well.
Game's been out a few weeks and Cowboy has pumped hundreds of hours in content, livestreams and prep vids ... lucky we get one a day as it is. Guy has to life to live as well.
My guy just explore when you're done with the video. I've discovered a lot of Northern Liurnia and half the eld tree is in my map :) and also beat Godrick in my first try. have fun :D
I can confirm that there is a death bird in wheeling peninsula. When you head toward castle Morne by going down the hill from where the merchant is, to your right if you scale the cliffs/elevated area, you’ll find a golden seed tree and to the right of that is a large damaged ruin and when I got near it a death bird spawned and attacked me haha
FightinCowboy - great effort on your part in creating this series. I am 56 and recently re-started gaming. I'm nowhere near as dexterous as you nor as fast. But thanks to you I am making progress and enjoying the game.
I beat Crucible Knight after the part 7 of the walkthrough (after around 20 tries). I beat Margit on first try and Agheel on my 4rth try. Just be patient for anyone who skipped any of the three bosses.
I’m at level 82 and still haven’t defeated the crucible knight, that guy is cancer. Same reason I’ve left siofra aqueduct alone and that bitch in carian bell tower (upright one).
LMFAO bro it took me 30 tries. And for some reason the last try I finally got it and was like “hold up, this is actually not that bad” I spent the first 25 tries trying to parry and use the shield. It was a mix of luck. Rolling at him and away from him hoping he doesn’t do certain combos. First souls game and I’ve NEVER felt so hyped after killing a boss. I was straight up screaming.
@@prahas366 yeah dude it’s not easy at all. I beat him at I think level 40 after 30 tries. It’s a whole lotta luck w that dude when it comes to what combos he’s gonna do. Just keep at it, you’ll get him. If you are trying to parry, stop. Two hand your weapon (if you’re a strength build)
@@prahas366 whaaaat! I beat him at 25/27 level. I am not sure if this boss is supposed to be that hard especially for a faith/intelligence build. I am on a strength build with bloodhound upgraded to +3. So the trick with the boss is to only hit it once and not get greedy. He sometimes only swings his sword once, so I used that moment to use the special attack of the bloodhound and the animation gives me i-frames to deal massive damage. Then when he always attacks with both hands gives you a good window to go ahead and do heavy jump attack. I also do this at the beginning of the fight. Run to him and jump and do heavy attack.
@@EventhorizonShadows I actually forgot how to parry. I was doing it fine in the beginning but then I dual-wield the weapon and didn't do it for a long time. I was only blocking and thinking I suck at parry.
I find it funny how when i deicide to explore on my own and try and progress the game and then check with cowboy i end up doing most of the stuff he did on my own
same here im now at the academy cause i coudt wait now checking if i got everything, i think i got most of it. usually i check to know what certain item do. so many holy shit and wtf moments.
this is my first souls game and i was really confused on how to approach it, you broke it down really nicely and i always laugh throughout the jokes you make too. I genuinely look forward after work to watch your videos and play elden ring "together". its been so amazingly helpful, ive really been enjoying the game thanks to your guidance. you rock!!
For someone who spent a lot of time restarting the other souls games because I accidentally killed the wrong person lol, I love your walk thoughts. They got me through some tough spots in ds2 and 3. As soon as I get bloodborn your my guy.
I want to say, after hearing you say there is no deathbird in the weeping peninsula, I paused the video and went right to it. With the build you have given us, I took it down first try and only needed a single potion. Dodging its attacks was easy, landing heavy’s felt like a breeze! I had also checked to see if the nightrider was around while you fought it, only to realize I had beaten it earlier in the play through, going through your videos! I have a lot to go, but thank you for these videos
Super late to this but I have used other guides of yours and I just have to say thanks for sticking with it. This has to be the hardest game you have done walkthrough wise and I both applaud and thank you for completing it
The deathbird I have found comes out at night and is past the wall with the black Knight . Just keep going towards the big castle and on your right is a ruin with three bats. He shows up there. I just stand higher on the ruins and hit him with magic till it runs out. .. I am starting to love this game even tho I get lost in where to go next. .. all thanks to this guide as I can't find anything normally and it turns out I have missed stuff or forgotten to go back to stuff. Thank you cowboy!
A few episodes ago I was struggling with crucible knight. It took some time but I beat him and these walkthroughs are killer. Thanks for making this game a little more enjoyable.
This game is amazing, it’s like the culmination of everything good from the previous souls games rolled up into one game. I can’t say enough good things about it
Huge souls fan, I completely agree on playing blind first playthrough. I had almost 280 hours before I started my new game and following these videos like i have since day one. You can't get back your first playthrough but you'll always have other to "cheat" on when it comes to the souls games
Am I the only person who literally would not have figured out how to play this game without these videos? To be fair I'm coming from CoD ....let's not talk about that though lol.
really appreciate your walkthroughs. just became a member because of them. Found the Sekiro walkthrough especially helpful as it was my first from soft game. thank you again :)
I tried to play this game blind and barely made it out of the first dungeon before giving up the game. It took me literally a year and tons of pushing from a friend about how I should pick it back up before I started again... this time around with these videos and others I am having a blast and so much more fun!! Thank you for these videos they are amazing and are keeping me playing this game!
Gotta say watching this play through is way more fun then actually doing a blind play trough for me. Cause at the end of the day I’m still playing and fighting the bosses using what I want and doing it however I want
I'm using this for a first play through because I have literally no idea what to do. I've never played a souls game and so going in blind I wouldn't know how to do any of what you've shown so far! Thanks for the walkthroughs 😄
I’d be lost without these walkthroughs. I have a 7 week old so being able to sit down and smash out a solid session is near on impossible. I got so lost trying to play it blind because of play for half an hour and then committed for a few hours and then get to play for a couple of hours and so on. To inconsistent for my first time playing this type of game. If it wasn’t for your walkthrough I probably would have gave up and stopped playing
I have seen your dark souls walkthroughs (all of them) and even with all the experience and skills that I gained playing them, there were a bunch of times that I just wanted to quit. Not because I could beat a boss or something like that, it’s just that these games are way too long (and they get longer when you die +1000 times jaja). I have finished all three due to your videos tbh. When I get bored I just watch the next zone in your walkthroughs and it just makes me feel like I got to beat it, it kinda challenges me. So I just wanted to say thank you, because right now that I got to the Capital and saw how f big this big is, I just wanted to quit jajajaja. But watching these 9 videos of your walkthrough gave me that push that I needed to finish the game and play it again in order to the the trophy. Sry if I misspelled something, love u man.
Good guide, I do know that you do not read comments but I will say it, we love your guide but you know what ppl love? ppl love good looking and powerful weapons n armor, I hope you can help us to get a very good looking armor
2:00 i hate playing open world games blind on my first run. Not only that, i work a hard job, so when i get to play a game, i want to know where to go, what’s my objective etc etc that’s why i dislike open world games where idk what to do. So i really do love these guides, really helps.
I just used this whole series (all 81 videos) to play through for the first time. This is my first souls game and I was completely lost! I’m using it again for my NG+, but not doing everything exactly the same like I did the first time! One thing I have to suggest is, leveling up Omenkiller Rollo’s ashes when you get him. He’s an ash you summons and he (IMO) is the best one so far! He’s huge, completely destroys enemy AND he breaths fire!
I’ve been following your walkthrough from the start but I talked to her in secret did I mess up or can I still get the platinum?
Just wanted to say thanks for all of these. Also, I found the 3rd location for Grape Lady if ur still looking - she’s just north of Gate Town Bridge - grace to the east of Academy Gate town.
Apologies if you go to it later on in this video, but at 17:43 there is another grace a bit more east of you, I'd say around northwest-ish by that body of water :)
You missed a tomb at demi human forest ruins this is a wall you have to jump up and it's surround by walls so it is hard to find
It is on the east side of the ruins
FightinCowboy, you mention that you feel anxious about doing the walkthrough due to the scope of the game. I just want to say that these videos have been fantastic and I hope that you'll continue to put them out and not lose steam. These have been filled to the brim with awesome information. Your walkthrough series has been so good that it inspired me to pick up Dark Souls 3 and tackle that walkthrough series as you continue to upload these. Thank you for everything!
damn me too
Enjoy souls dude! Amazing games
@@georgejestra7747 Thanks, man! I'm having a blast with it.
Yea man, dark souls 3 is addictive. It's a blast.
Hes the only reason i beat dark souls remastered and dark souls 3. Amazimg walk throughs!
I'm in the same boat i feel the exact way as u
me too. i would love to have the time to explore this game on my own but if i would do this then maybe this game is the last game i will ever play in my life.
Dude, same here! I have a few hrs a night between when my kid goes to bed and my wife is making dinner.
YES! We are the same person lol
Same I bought it when it first came out it was to confusing and hard until I finally picked back up
Same thing here, i just left the cd on the shelf for more than a year now
@@ibrahimodesigner3066 same and this my first playtrhiough
Yes!
True
also may sound kinda cringey but its enjoyable because its like you're experiencing the game for the first time with someone rather than on our own: basically, he keeps us company 😂😅
I said the same thing lolol
This. Souls 1, 2 & 3 I can play following wiki guides, etc. Or just by learning myself. But this one, there's just way too much to do when learning it does make it miserable.
@@eleanora8234I feel you on that!
I like playing the walkthrough better than just wondering around. I feel like this is making me explore more than I would and keeps me engaged
i know you don't recommend following your walk through first play through, but for someone who never got into a soul's game i'm having a blast following it. i explore on my own after each video and I'm not left feeling overwhelmed like i did the first day before i found your channel
Same here man!
Big facts. I was running around for 30 minutes still didn't have Torrent ,clueless on how to get himwas running around killing the first few soldiers over and over again. God I was lost.
@@vadimkrylov when i heard that i was sad but ig i wasnt the only one who did this
I usually see where he plans on going pause the video and then go there myself and explore until I get lost and return to the video.
@@v2153same here!
@@charg1nmalaz0r51 you are so right about this I just said this the other day while listening to him
I tried to play this game and discover stuff on my own but playing along with you makes the experience way more fun for me
I just wanted to say I tried playing blind and got killed again and again.
I cant find the wolf man
I understand the point you make about the blind play through.
Its like you’re teaching me and i have fun with the game along with it
The same for me too, i am still enjoying the game too, i wanna copy his snow witch build sometime
Same. I have a full time job and a wife and a 5 month old baby boy to take care of. I'll barely have time for one full playthrough, much less multiple. Following the guide takes a stressful, difficult game and turns into a casual experience. Much more enjoyable.
@@rturner9 aww how cute but I love this series I hope they do some expansions later in year xx

You legend.
So cool you do this, I prefer to follow this than the video as much as possible…adds a bit more excitement when you don’t 100% know what to do.
Shield of the guilty can be looted from the chest down stairs in the Demi-Human ruins. Interesting fact about the Demi-Human ruin boss. If you run in and kill him. All his minions become terrified and just stand there whimpering with their hands on their heads and will never move.
Nice looking one
this also jibes with the note sold by vendors about demi-humans.
this has become part of my daily schedule, I wait at 6 evreyday and watch this.
Same, exact same build and everything 🤣. I'm gonna do either a mage or faith just to explore but I wait for cowboy to go hard lol
That’s awesome. I do the same!
Hahaha same here took a break ate did some excersise and now the new part is up ill enjoy one more hour
Same. Lol. Definitely would’ve quit.
I'll add an annotation.
My friend and i could only encounter it at night
@@EpicFacePalmskerak all deathbirds only spawn at night
Found him too. It's right by the ruins near the glowing tree you get the seeds from (south westof Callu Baptismal Church)
@@FightinCowboy additionally, there's a night boss at the warmaster's shack, though the reward isn't really worth the effort imo, it's a bell bearing that let's you buy bones. He's quite tough early game, though. Same moveset as the darth vader dude in the poison castle on altus plateau.
Hey I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate the support and the time you took to share this walk through
Hey man, Great Walkthrough!
Same. - Covid
Yeah I'm doing this as well and I find this way more immersive than wandering clueless everywhere.
Same. I hate wandering.
yeah im following this cuz i have no clue what to do, its been incredibly useful so far
Same
Even though I’ve ran through most of these areas on my own, I still love to watch these walkthroughs just in case there might b something I missed.
So is he beating everything in these walkthroughs or just certain important stuff?
@@tonyphills6075 He's doing the stuff that gives you all the achievements for the platinum.
Thank you.
I just wanna say your guides have been super helpful for someone like me who have never played souls games. Thank you sir!
No, this didn’t ruin my first play through. My first play through was ruined by not being able to progress past limgrave.
😂 I literally quit the game within a couple hours during my “first playthrough”. I’ve never played a souls game before and didn’t realize what I was committing to. This guide has tremendously helped me enjoy the experience
@@Z-MACxsame! I’m also autistic and need clear instructions, so this walkthrough has made the game so much more enjoyable for me.
I did a blind playthrough my 1st game, had 200 hours in that playthrough. NG+ I'm going through the walk-through and have found some stuff I missed already. I've followed your walk-throughs since DS1 and they are the best. Love your content. Thanks for doing these.
Your doing a great job! I wouldn’t be able to get through this game with out you. Your videos help a lot of people
I started Dark Souls series with Bloodborne.
I play along with you, sometimes the commercials pop up at the right moment and most of the time nothing gets spoiled, thank you for the great content
I have gone back and grabbed many helpful items because of your walkthrough! Thank you!
A rune item on the highest rock in the swamp, a smithing stone and arteria leaf guarded by some red jelly's on the east beach just south of the swamp, rune item guarded by some dogs on the west beach, but all just loose garbage loots but they're there if you want it
Yep. I found these too.
It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one completely floored by the scope of this game.
he did it last episode
Last episode he mentioned he’d circle back to it, but o don’t believe it’s been done yet.
Dude just got to ep 9, roughly 9hrs gameplay insofar and man. You’ve changed the game for me thank you so much sir!!!!

11:00 cave
19:00 Ash or incantation?
21:00 Morne Tunnel
This is my first play through and ill be honest I would’ve quit without you. I try to combine these videos with my own experience. You guide me to spots I would’ve never found or have known to go. I then play around in the area on my own to get ‘my experience’ then when im done I finish the video.
Around 4:30, north of his 3 marker (above the demi-humans) there is a tear for your physick flask, the faith one if i recall correctly, it's surrounded by those small plants that excrete poison

21:58 "Stiefromstake" was a great comedy break from the seriousness of Elden Ring
Thanks for your content cowboy!

12:22 Runebear - 13:03
14:00 Demi-Human Queen - 15:07
27:44 Scaly Misbegotten - 28:31
30:48 Tree Sentinel - 32:01
I love experiencing games to the fullest so for me I use your guide on my first play through because I’m not so good with this no mission tracking thing, and I’ll also admit I’m not a souls player so I can’t beat hard stuff without a guide, so for me I use your guide as like main objective thing and then sometimes I explore on my own or go in the catacombs without knowing what’s gonna happen
Same!!!
There is a poison mist incantation in the area highlighted at 30:14 near Castle Morne. Need to go a little more north of the area and a black ball is there for the incantation but it disappears very fast as well.
Yep, I just got this, thanks!
Was going to mention this.
The only reason i was able to play this game was this guide. It's impossible to see or find freaking anything. I subscribed. Youre doing good work!!
Would it be Too much to ask for 2 of these a day? Honestly my fave series
Game's been out a few weeks and Cowboy has pumped hundreds of hours in content, livestreams and prep vids ... lucky we get one a day as it is. Guy has to life to live as well.
Yes, Yes it would be.
My guy just explore when you're done with the video. I've discovered a lot of Northern Liurnia and half the eld tree is in my map :) and also beat Godrick in my first try. have fun :D
Yes, it would. Thankfully you didn't!
@@RafaelBelvederese lmao he does 2 a day now get fucked
Quite possibly the best walkthrough series of any game. BRAVO
Yep next to that seed thanks
I disagree with the notion that the walkthrough ruins the first play through. It makes it so much more fun and fulfilling for me
I find it funny how when i deicide to explore on my own and try and progress the game and then check with cowboy i end up doing most of the stuff he did on my own
same here im now at the academy cause i coudt wait now checking if i got everything, i think i got most of it. usually i check to know what certain item do. so many holy shit and wtf moments.
this is my first souls game and i was really confused on how to approach it, you broke it down really nicely and i always laugh throughout the jokes you make too. I genuinely look forward after work to watch your videos and play elden ring "together". its been so amazingly helpful, ive really been enjoying the game thanks to your guidance. you rock!!
The death bird is actually right there at the ramparts
What do you mean?
For someone who spent a lot of time restarting the other souls games because I accidentally killed the wrong person lol, I love your walk thoughts. They got me through some tough spots in ds2 and 3. As soon as I get bloodborn your my guy.
No one here mentioned in this vid they are 50-60 year old gamers 😄?
Im 87, this video saved my life, in game. The vid took out my whole fam irl, sad, but worth it.
Tree Sentinel is one of the easiest in-game boss but requires hardcore dedication and patience.
Super late to this but I have used other guides of yours and I just have to say thanks for sticking with it. This has to be the hardest game you have done walkthrough wise and I both applaud and thank you for completing it
too scary to go blind imma stick with this
The deathbird I have found comes out at night and is past the wall with the black Knight
I played BloodBorne with your Walkthroughs and I’m playing this with your walkthrough. Your guides make these games fun and easier
I am older than the beginning of time itself and your walkthroughs are the best! Thanks Cowboy!
A few episodes ago I was struggling with crucible knight. It took some time but I beat him and these walkthroughs are killer. Thanks for making this game a little more enjoyable.
200 plus hours in, and just now hitting my 100% play through on the 3rd try. Thank you sincerely for these brother ❤
This game is amazing, it’s like the culmination of everything good from the previous souls games rolled up into one game. I can’t say enough good things about it
Life would SUCK if this game didn’t exist
This is my first play through. I'd have no idea what to do without your videos.
even 2 years later I still return to these videos for my 100 % play throughs.
I don't think you realize how much of a genius you are, very clear speaking, thoughtful, if it wasn't for you cowboy, idk wtf I would be in this game
Thank you for these videos they are amazing and are keeping me playing this game!
its ok if you only play candy crush or racing games if our that bad, understandable to die ot first mobs, im glad your having fun now
Ive had the game for almost a week and im hooked on it your walk throughs are a great help!!! Thanks
First time souls player here. I never comment on videos but you are blowing this out of the water. Keep up the good work.
I know I’m late to the party. These games usually too hard for me. You made this accessible and I’m loving it. Thank you dude 👍🏻
