Now Copy & Paste The Flash Commands Below into the black command window and wait for the firmware flash to complete then hit enter to reboot the phone

Just tried this with Moto G5 Plus also got it stuck on "bad key" for boot.img and recovery.img. Only noticed it at the end when "fastboot erase customize" and "fastboot erase clogo" resulted in:
(bootloader) Permission denied.
FAILED (remote failure)
fastboot oem lock then said still require signed boot.img
Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is that stock was NPN25.137-33 and I tried to use -35.
I am able to boot into the system, but am worried to try any of this again. Should I try with the -33 firmware?
nchomey if it booted sucessfully all is good u can try the 33 firmware if u want if it doesnt work just flash this firmware again GOODLUCK😆
I seemed to have gotten rid of this message on boot (now says ID: "N/A" rather than "bad key") by flashing TWRP again (from this guide forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/how-to/how-to-how-to-supersu-moto-g5-plus-t3587684), however I haven't tried restoring to stock, unrooting, relocking etc...
Thanks! But booting wasn't the issue. The "bad key" was preventing me from re-locking the bootloader. I'll have to try again sometime after re-flashing twrp to get the "n/a" rather than "bad key"

seems like u might have flashed the wrong firmware,press inbetween volume up and down & hold the power button at the same time does it let u enter fastboot screen?

it's a moto g5s. I downloaded firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto%20G5s/Stock/ - the last one in the list. It was the latest version of android as far as I know
Rachel Moran this tutorial is for the G5 & G5 plus the flash command could be diffrent for the g5s are u sure u cant enter fastboot? Because if u cant basically your screwed u will need to find the blank flash files for g5s to fix your phone

im having an issue when i reboot. the typical your device will reset in 5 secconds comes up. then it flashes and comes on again, then again, then again. Then i get the android guy and message says NO COMMAND. i have tried the adb process multiple times now. any help would be great
Why did you skip how to relock the boot loader? Thought all you needed to do was this at the end?

Hoping you might be able to help, i ran through these steps, and it didn't break anything, so i'm glad for that, but my security version is still April 2018, it didn't go back to the older one, i downloaded the Potter 137-33 file. do you know why it wouldn't revert me back to the older security patch?

yes lineage 7.1.2 installed and twrp recovery is there
camera app of lineage is is not good as the stock moto firmware

It doesnt work for me when i put in the commands it says : The command fastboot was not found, but does exist in the current location. But when it comes to reboot, That 5 second window appears...and then goes off then again appear..then again and again..i stuck at that place...my device is not booting up..please someone help me..and please tell me the exact ROM from given 4 ROMs...
try flashing the firmware again but i think u could have used the wron firmware u need to use the correct 1 make sure u download the stock fw for your model number

I did everything the way you explained but get a message erasing with a big circle after the process and after some seconds it goes back tot the your device has been unlocked screen. And after that loop back into circle with erasing below it.

Arewa Cinema i dont understand why that happend flashing the wrong firmware shouldnt do that to your phone the flash should instantly fail but u should still be able access the fastboot menu and now the bad news is ive searched for the blank flash files on the internet and i can only find them for the older moto devices like the g1 and g2 bro ,so u might have to wait untill someone can post them

Arewa Cinema yeah i remember this happening to people a few years back on the moto g1 when they downgraded the firmware version to kitkat 4.3 then took the ota update to 4.4.4 it totally bricked a lot of devices and they had to wait months for the blank flash files so i recommend u try get another device in the mean time untill they release the blank flash files

try the potter firmware its for g5 plus bro ,but remember things can always go bad when u are flashing things to your device so the decision to do this is entirely yours bro Goodluck
yeah i know its on my own risk, its just that are few potter firmware versions over there but no one says for wich model are, you know XT16xx, so ill do some surfing to find out wich is the one for my device heh, thanks man!
