The church is like a government which doesnt look for profit.the catholic church invests in health,education,community water supply etc. and there are no SUV cars.there are no issues about them.all churches should do the same .they should be regulated.

We should also restrict carrying large sums of cash money. Money should be in the individuals' banks and transactions done by cheques so we can trace back where the money came from. I suspect these large sums of money carriers are actually printing the bills in their basements.

Nobody announces their offering. It is not right. The church should not do that. The most a person has ever given is 5 cents. She gave everything she owned out of her heart and not out of her plenty.

We want a constitutional amendment that will separate church and state.
There is separation of church and state. It is just not practiced/enforced due to either ignorance and/or reluctance. People with an ounce of spiritual intelligence know that the first 4 commandments of the Decalogue pertain God (separation) and the last six pertain to Cesar (government). There's a reason why God wrote the Law on two separate stones. It is the distinction and clear separation what belongs to God and what belongs to the government. Only God has jurisdiction over both. You should NEVER obey any law that goes against the Word of God. Ignorance is no excuse!
Freedom of worship doesn't mean giving millions of money to an individual church by the way what does the law say...when the right hand gives the left should never know what has been given.. from this point one can still give to the church or school without showing that you've given....You can just call the Bishop or pastor or chairman and share the message which other members then send your money must they poor millions before poor Kenyans?

Kaka sungura that directive was there long ago because of corruption. Giving sadaka doesn't mean showing off. Muslim s contribute, build mosques, madrasas feed the ophans, widows etc and would not want even to be mentioned

Guys uzee is not a desease, or lack of brains, or lack wisdom. We are christians, and we know God used old pple mightly for advise, and to carry his will to nations. Young pple need old pple, who are tested and know how to keep pple together. We can't risk, loosing older pple, who are good leaders just bcose you want a job. Youth who malign old be, could be doing it to their fatherd.
I agree we cannot completely stop Harambees. The world over, public fundraising exist - even in the richest nation - USA Only that they fund raisers are called by other names and are done differently. Ruto is simply in panic mode and is issuing some directives when he is not sober upstairs. By stopping Harambees, we shall not see those flaunting exorbitant wealth but that does not stop corrupt practices and theft and wastage of public resources.
Harambees are for people to assist each other, not for public officers to use public funds outside the checks and balances of what has been passed in the budget. There should not be any government funds that should be used in Harambees.

Hello, when you have money, the source should be known, and if possible you spend them on items that are known,but in Kenya when you have money,we don't ask how you get the money. It has become a culture, we live in a country where politicians think money is the be all and all and spend it as if it is not earned!
Only an irresponsible, a person who lacks integrity and accountability, takes money from anyone without asking what it's for and where it came from; especially when it's large sums of money.

The meaning of the phrase "harambee" is "exalt Ambee".
Harambee is not a swahili word nor can it mean anything else on earth other than what the Indians mean.-"exalt Ambee".
Kenya is not a Hindu state.
Kenya has a Bill of Rights to forbid the phrase harambee to be displayed on the coat of arms.
The Constitution acknowledges GOD of all Creation, not the Idol Ambee who is worshipped by pronouncing harambee.
The coat of arms should be displaying "KENYA" and not'harambee. GOD (mentioned in the Preamble) said so.
Why would there be churches to which politicians can go to give cash that they "name harambee" yet they know the meaning of the phrase harambee?They know! Why do they insist that harambee is not what Indians mean in their Hindi language? Parliament rejected petition to replace the phrase on the Emblem with the name "KENYA". GOD hates lies!
Why do they not contribute money or give donations without using the idol worship phrase to their donations or contributions proclamaiming "harambee"?
They take harambee money to defile the congregants and thier leaders intentionally with the idolatry money, and thus the congregations are oppressed.
