I leveled a blizzard/spike sorc first and was feeling like it got no love this season until I started running infernal hordes. It's like IH was _made_ to highlight blizzard's playstyle of just turning the entire room into a snowstorm and watch everything die. Good stuff.
Yeah, I like the infernal horde. It's a lot of fun. I especially like how they set up the loot system. I found you can get an awful lot of experience, especially with potions.
Is the GA chest, not 100% guaranteed to drop at least one item with a GA on it? I had a couple of runs where I opened the 60 chests and I did not receive an item with a GA.
Hordes are great and they can definitely improve upon it, It would be cool if the keys had specific affixes that would effect your runs like "Fiend events are more likely, fiends have 25% more health and grant +1 aether" And more to it rather than +25% damage, like "Fiends gain an aoe shockwave attack"
The game is bugged AF....You keep saying runeshards don't drop from NM dungeons, I have about 250 runeshards in my inventory after even farming a few 100+ pits...Tormented Beast in the Ice still drops 1x material for Andariel instead of x5 like all other bosses do....the Greater Affix chest from Infernal Hordes doesn't drop GA items after hotfix...and the list goes on..
i'm a rapid fire rogue, I've bricked at least 30 GA gear pieces never seeing rapid fire temper even once, I stopped playing. I'm not looking for another piece at 100, I should be in final gear now.

I came back to play a little on real server and saw they froze my gear after capping armor making most of my god tier gear bad with affixes I can't change but I'd grind out 300 mil per roll if I could. And they give me now gear with far less damage reduction options that you brick the moment you find. Literally mentally ill design
Power Leveling. I have power leveled a few friends. Carry a new toon through Capstone so they can do Tier 1 horde. Got them to 50 in like two runs. Granted it is probably harder on hardcore (not tried it myself). This is where those random buffs help, especially the one that increases move speed as it stacks and ends up lasting pretty much the entire run. They move so fast the ranged mobs can't hit them and the melee can't keep up.
Did you ever face getting your movement stuck? I always am blocked somehow and I am not sure if it is due to the terrain and not sure if it's just me but Flurry dash is bugged. Not sure why it is not reported. It doesn't dash.
To balance out the rewards add some more aether boons/banes not related to hellborne that help other things to escalate to its levels. And with more options it will become at the same time more strategic and RNG to build up the perfect combo. But there would be more perfect combos. You will still have bad runs occasionally, but there would be more varied good and average runs. Another option is to buff the catch-up choices for late waves.
Most I've gotten with a friend on t8 was 1018 ether which got me 1350 neathiron then got 2 hordes after with only 400 ether 😢 not consistent at all but fun ( rf rouge and LS sorc) Hopefully they fix the GA chest not dropping GA consistently Soulspire is good if you are in a group, All kills from anyone count towards the amount as long as 1 person is in the circle
I would have to correct you wudi, early tiers of materials chests help you get your gems upgraded/gem slots filled AND give ample amounts of pit resources on top of a few scrolls. I usually do the 60 aether chest and the rest materials, leftover aethers go to gold.
It has a high chance to drop GA items, not a guaranteed one. So I guess, somebody needs to have a back luck at some point, too bad it was you. Never lucky :/ :D Or maybe it is a new bug? I did get 0 a few times, but never two in a row.
Hellborne and Aether Fiends are the way for me cause I can 1shot a whole screen of them usually. Soulspires and Aether Lords take too long (one waits for mobs to get in, the other just has a boss level HP where it takes like 3 shots to take down) Utility powers give you no Aether so unless your build is gimped and you could use something like "unlimited resources" or whatever, it's more or less useless.

I found out that the greater equipment chest is not worth it. The one for 60 aether. So many times when I have opened it and never gotten a GA item so ridiculous that I just stopped. Had higher chance of getting a GA from the regular chest when opened 3 times. Am I the only one?

And nobody is talking about it even though I’ve seen a bunch of folks stuck here too. Level 50s 40s and 60s in world tier 2. True story. I liked the season theme while it lasted after completely ignoring masterworking again. there isn't anything worth pushing really hard towards other than to say I managed X number of waves
do arrow storms proc lucky hits?? im doing my own rendition of the poison flurry and my lucky hit hits almost +200% but im wanting more ways of proccing the 5 cc things, andy, and doombringer. my ias is around 150% at max, but if the marksman hit to create arrow storms can also help proc my other lucky hits then i'd use it!

They are dirt cheap, and why should i botrher with runs where i get 300-500 when i can easily get 1000+ on diff 7 with the right affixes. This "rogue like" system could be improved easily by 1. starting with a boon choice and not a single elite to kick it off 2. naturally 50% more and more frequent monster spawns, sometimes you have downtime which feels horrible. 3. let us eliminate certain boons so they dont show up again so we can more reliably shape our run. Currently only chainpicking hellborne + 50% faster feels good.
They completely made the Pit redundant. In one Tier 7 of IH I got close to 1000 Netharion in about 10-12 min clear. It's so much better than the Pit in terms of farming for mats, and actually a lot more fun in general.

150? you can get over 400 on wave 9-10 if you get enough hellborn bonuses i got close to 900 and i've seen several screenshots of people over 1000 in tier 7

I started a new character got to level 14 died to world boss now i dont have enough gold to fix my gear , im done for season 5 guys . Maybe next season ill enjoy this game feature.
I normally get between 800-1200 on T7, T8 just isn't worth it because of the scaling and Desecrator can one shot very easy. I have played all classes at max efficiency as possible and found Andy Rogue is the most powerful for dropping mobs without having to chase
Not sure it is healthy for the game long term to have all the things in one event. That was basically the first complaint that all the end game was is NM. I wouldn’t mind if it dropped some glyph xp but I think after the season nm should be the best way to get glyph levels and pits should be best for mw. To keep ppl playing different modes. We are on day 4 of a season ppl are going to get burned out in the IH
This game needs to add extra temper rerolls as a possibility. Maybe something you can craft by gathering materials in really high tier pit pushes. Bricking an item after spending hours to find it feels horrible

There’s also a new aspect for rogues that can pull in distant enemies every two seconds, works great for soulspires

The chance for double elites works on The Butcher as well. Had the fresh meat twins make an appearance a few hours ago.
Killed the Butcher twice in infernal hordes but everytime he's found me in the actual game he fucking melted me this season.
Yeah, I like the infernal horde. It's a lot of fun. I especially like how they set up the loot system. I found you can get an awful lot of experience, especially with potions.

Hordes is a fun and rewarding activity. I just wish it would be less "zoomy" and have more visual clarity (I can just play PoE for that lol).
You don't need to let the enemies walk into the circle with soulspire only you have to be in it.

Yeah ive had the same thing happen as well, kinda annoying. What's even more annoying is that you can run out of monsters to kill for up to 5 sec.

You can generate Dark Shrouds by attacking the shade totem! I do that before I start any difficult content.
Aether is pronounced as e-ther (the A is silent).
with the soulspires there is one one buff/boon that pulls enemies into it, use that often is quite good

You don't need to kill monsters in the circle. Also if a teammate is out of circle killing and you are inside those kills count for the spire.

i got Tyrael's and stopped dying
Getting more + ranks to dark shroud on gear and masterworking all gear to at least 8/12 was the benchmark that allowed me to survive 6

If u upgrade with scrolls u get an extra wave earlier it still caps out at 10 at tier 8 though

Tier 2 is level 80
Tier 3 is level 100

There is a massive discrepancy in the game between normal monsters and bosses.

There is no point in doing world bosses until you’re at WT4 in season 5. Focus on levelling up and unlocking your class specialisation first
