The Microsoft Surface 3: Finally Reviewed

    Additional notes: I neglected to mention the availability of a headphone jack during the connectivity tour. There's also a rear-facing webcam (for some strange reason). TDP on the chipset is unknown, but believed to be very low.
    Also, it is impossible to overstate how good that screen is. The brightness is very high, but the contrast is outstanding. The exceptional calibration and all-around performance is almost unheard of in this price class. Easily one of the best small LCD panels I've ever seen.
    The front-facing speakers are unimpressive, but the fact that they face forward earns them usability points. I've definitely heard worse.
    Charging over MicroUSB can be a bit of a drag, but not being burdened down by an extra/large AC adapter is also liberating. That, along with the bonus USB port that you get (by way of a breakout cable, as mentioned at 8:40 in the video, easily makes up for this shortcoming.
