His east coast accent is very noticeable when he’s young and at times when he’s not acting. It slips in. I love it. It wasn’t a bad actor. He was decent. When he acts like a bad ass it shows the best.
I live in the American South on the east coast. There are dozens of accents along the east coast, not just one.
the way Frakes says OR-inj instead of ARE-inj and WAR-ter instead of WAAH-ter indicates a mix of East coast and Mid-Atlantic accent.
If this were Star Trek, he'd still be knowin as LIEUTENANT William T. Riker as this was 10 YEARS before Star Trek TNG

He tried playing it as if he is about to cry but it came across as if he wants to laugh
Well actually he was smiling through the pain he was remembering. Defense mechanism, he was trying to act like he wasn’t feeling the sadness. Some people smile or laugh during these situations because it’s unbelievable or how they hide their pain. He did good.
@@PiazzaGurl Yes, but if you watch him in interviews he smiles, laughs & jokes. He seems like a fun person.

I dont buy that reasoning. Just because you were abused does not give you an "out" for abusing someone else. In fact that should make the abused person go out their way to be sure they dont pass it on because they of all people know how it feels! If that abused person turn around and abuse someone, they are being dumb and plain cruel. I have no empathy for them because they should know better and therefore DO better!

Sometimes… not all the time. You can’t just assume someone will respond in a positive. Not everyone is the same. Some are more jacked up than others.
I vaguely remember this story, he had an abusive past and took it out on another kid.
