He reinvents his guitarpart while playing. I just love it, I just love him for it. Everyone who thinks he's nothing without his pedals, should see this. Although, he has been demonstrating his skills for decades. If they aren't convinced yet, they probably never will be...
@bonofoundgrace I agree . I have alot of respect for the perfect sound from a Knopfler or a Hendrix, but in the end it's their sound, they know nothing else . I love Edge for beeing an innovator, a creator of new sounds, not afraid to new technologies, open minded, not sticking with his 30 year old sound . That's what made U2 the biggest band on the planet ; Edge's different sound in almost every song, I love and respect him for that !

To all those people who say Edge is an average guitarist...name one guitarist who has refused to settle for just one signature sound and kept on exploring the use and abuse of guitar technology for 30 years. He may not be the fastest or loudest guitar player, but he is by far the most unique and this is such a beautiful performance. From pseudo-Infinite Guitar to this-it takes something special to make this work. But Edge is just that cool :)

let the guy has his own opinion...i dont see whats wrong with it...Edge is definately one of the most innovative guitarists of this generation, his work involving delay and effects cant be rivaled by anyone else!
'Wyclef is actually quoting Bono here, when back in 1987, U2 were playing in Philadelphia and Springsteen joined them on stage and Bono says the same words, "Who's going to play my guitar?"! A little bit of rock connectivity there!
this is from my VHS tape i believe. once i get a better convertor il upload the full thing.i think it was on rte and i got sumone in ireland to record it for me and i have the master vhs tape..edge only appears on WOWY and a small interview clip at end the rest is basically Wyclef performing with his band and interviews..

Nice, but drumer is not quite up to par with Larry Mullen, nor is the bass player. This is when you realise that u2 is such a good band. Each of them is good at what he is doing.
Having that guitar tone as opposed to Edges normal rig is like excrement compared to cream. He literally had to polish a turd in those few minutes and did pretty well with what he had
