I lost track how many times I saw Jonathan back in the 70s and 80s. Always impressed with the simultaneous smooth vocals, harmonic and guitars. Much excitement at the old Shaboo!
This is EXCEPTIONAL! Smooth vocals, banjo and keyboard elements. Have always loved the tune . . . It needs to be played in all the city streets during Covid Chaos!! And beyond as a reminder of the only two emotions: Love and Fear! We all hold the key.
Thank you steveide59. I sure do love this song and it`s message. I remember going to a rainbow gathering in '84 at Mt.Shasty. This is one of the songs sung around the campfires. Johnathan spoke up during the Nixion days where he was probably put on the list.
The song is so not just about that though. Everyone should broaden it beyond the 1960s context. Then it will take it's rightful place as a song of unity and be truly anti violence in all senses as I think Jonathan would really like.
He wrote it for way beyond just that he may or may not have been on the list however he said in a video I saw that he wrote the song to bind up the wounds of the country for all concerned. Anger became a salve. For all times.
I saw Jonathan about an hour ago brother and the hope is real. I was at his concert and i had the joyful privilege to tell him how the word Now is for all times especially 2019.
So 'rockig' wie die Youngbloods hatte ich es eigentlich auch nur selten gespielt, diese Version hört sich eher wie das an, was ich gern unter die Leute bringe ...

Great song. Excellent rendition. We do so need this at this moment.
This song was made for Jonathan's range. So glad I just found this one.
Saw Jonathan Edwards at Toadsplace New Haven Connecticut 1981ish. Amazing performance ! He's all heart and soul just like in this video.
Thank you
This is a song for 2019. Turn off the TV . Everybody it's really time to smile on your brother. Like... Now.
How I've always loved this song... used to play it on the guitar.
This is fantastic. Fantastic.

If I ever run for president this will be my campaign song. Especially if it was in 2019.,

Wonderful piano and banjo!
Beautiful thoughts ❤️
It's just the version that I'm singing about more than fourty years because I could not take the hope away, that it may be real.

It is real. Always hang on.

I don't speak German but I just want to say, it is real. The "One who left us here" will someday" return for us at last"
You sound a little .. Just a bit like the awesome Glen Campbell.
