I have been watching your videos for awhile now. I can say if there is anybody on RUclips that deserves more subscribers and views it is you. You have a gift for this. I really enjoy all of your adventures. Its amazing the choices of routes you have in Oregon/Washington. Thanks for taking me along.
Thanks Scott, I am just stoked some people enjoy watching the videos! I try not to take it for granted how much awesome wilderness there is around here for all kinds of outdoor recreation... we are really spoiled. Appreciate the kind words.
I like the intention of this one...just to enjoy the peace and tranquility. I had one of those days last week. Great cinematography. The pace of these videos are unique and I don't see any other bike packing videos like this out there! great work.
People who enjoy nature must have a pure orientation. People who can take impressive photos must be able to see beauty everywhere. And people who has the desire to walk a long way just to see a peaceful stream and fish a little must have strong determination. You are my MAN!
OMG your pictures are awesome! And your vids are huge a PSYCHE for the coming season. Although I worry I'm gonna run out of them soon.... planning has ensued though. Thanks man!
I like the Fox Airliner? All gloves seem to change every year or two so what worked good once doesn’t always work the next time around. I always forget to buy a 2nd pair when I find a good one.
Old Naches pass goes from Greenwater over to Cliffdell on rugged jeep trails. Lots of cool loops up by Wilkeson mostly on gravel roads. And some other gravel rides with lots of climbing that could be a one day ride or an overnight trip also.
I use Specialized gloves, rode ~2000 miles in a single pair. One small hole, color is gone, got oversized, but still going. Camping in the same gloves too, when it's too cold.
I've been using the Giro DND gloves as a full-finger for road, gravel, and mtb for a while now. No padding, which may or may not be what you're after, but they fit me well and have been pretty durable.
@@pnwbikepacking Ah, that's too bad! I've been using the same two pairs of DNDs for what must be five years now. Either I got lucky pairs or we wear gloves differently, I guess. Good luck on your glove quest!
my only thought with the busted gloves is this: i'd be tempted to grab a needle and thread, and sew it back up. using gear leads to failure of gear. i am fairly thoughtless about my stuff, so i end up patching and sewing stuff back up. for me, the patched items get more precious as they age. not for everyone, but it works for me.
I havent gotten into bike specific glove brands, so idk if they present added function to others, but I've been using the basic Mechanix gloves for a while. They hold up to a lot of rough use.
@@pnwbikepacking I have the kitsbow gloves where they partnered with mechanix, they have held up from bike commutting for two years, so maybe give them a look.
I found the same thing @ Canyon Creek CG. Decided to keep going, glad I did. Found a great campsite nearby. How did you connect Canyon Creek w/ Lewis River?
I rode down to the Canyon Creek campground and decided it was a bust so I road back to NF54 and followed that until I got to the Soda Peaks area and headed south down towards Cougar rock on NF34 > NF42. If I were to do it again, I would have done the loop out by Soda Peaks. ridewithgps.com/ambassador_routes/72-soda-peaks-figure-8-century
Hey John, I have looked at them and almost pulled the trigger. So far the dragontail shadowfire had been pretty good. Hard to justify another pole at the moment. Maybe if it goes on sale!

Thanks Mike! I did try to edit this one differently based on the mood and atmosphere of the ride! Glad you enjoyed it.
I like all your videos. This one wasn't upbeat like the others. Keep up the great work man
Thanks Clave, yeah I definitely approached this one a bit differently. Glad you still enjoyed it.
Great Tenkara creek. Love this area.

I second Mike Mike Motorbikes comments. Perfect! Area looks familiar. I spent about 10 years in the PNW. Lived in Samammish, WA.
Another good video. Like the style, and the soundtrack compliments it well. Well done!
Thanks Peter!
Love the fishing and the water!! That's a very beautiful place looks like a great place to get away and spend some time!!🚴😎👍

Thats the key advice, buying two pairs when you find the right one! I'll give these a look!
Another nice trip Chris, if you ever want to ride up by Mt Rainier or off Hwy 410 give me a shout and maybe meet up and do a trip. Thanks Jim
Thanks Jim! I'd love to do some riding up there! You have any routes in mind?

I use Mechanix gloves for pedaling, they hold up great for motorbike trips as well.

I am coming from a pair of Giro DND gloves, exact same thing happened as the Dakines after like 5-6 trips!

Another good one. I know a dude that has a sewing machine, maybe he could make you a good pair of gloves.
Thanks Josh. Yeah I could try fixing them...
@@pnwbikepacking well that works also.

I think this is what I may try next! Thanks for the recommendation.

Alpine stars make excellent gloves and 661 as well
Thanks i'll check them out. I have been using some Hand Up gloves that I really like... though they don't last very long
Another great one!
I have to ask. What Tenkara setup do you use? I'm interested in trying it and leaving my fly rod at home.
Hey, I have a dragon tail shadow fire tenkara. It’s been great.

@@pnwbikepacking looks like a cool route. I love linking up roads in that area. So many great roads to explore!
I have been using the tiny tenkara when I fish during rides. Have you checked them out? Great for smaller creeks and streams.

I did miss Rob!
Hahaha we both did Eric!
What size does the fish suppose to be to eat?
Which RWGPS route? Is it getting rather cool at nights there now?
Hey Tom check out my responses in other comments for the ride with gps link. Yeah it feels like things are finally starting to cool off!!!
