OMG Allan, making a duplicate channel for the reverb and then putting it a octave higher gives the sound more options, thank you! I have been experimenting with sidechaining reverb with a bus from the normal sound, however im going to try this out so i can also keep & control the nexus regular reverb! It sounds like this is going to be sick for spacy, emotional trance that im going for!
As someone who is only beginning to consider getting into music production, I never even thought about the possibility of separating the effect from the source and then manipulating the effect on top of the source. I really need to finish my dissertation so I can justify putting time into such an avocation, as shit like this just makes me so excited about learning all of this stuff.
@@Allan-Morrow-AM-Studios Oh very primative mate :) I just bounce it into wav with higher octaves and treat it like an another instrument, rather than a reverb. I get similar results. I just like this workflow better, nothing special about it.
HOW do you learn all this stuff allan, do you learn from others as you go along, or is it practice. , practice and practice... would love for you to have a zoom q and a once a month for poeple
Hi Allan. I use Dune3 and its superb for Trance. Do you plan on making sounds for that, there arent that many 3rd party sounds / patches to buy. Its secret underated synth Gold.
Your a great teacher. I learned a lot from you and offering this information for free is very generous of you. I support your channel and have purchased your bass and kick tutorial. Very informative. I will continue to lean more from you. Thanks again. Interested in hearing any of my tracks? If so I can send you an mp3.
Thank you Allan! I have always wondered how to achieve this euphoric synth pad vibe you hear a lot in older and newer trance tracks, and now i know! I have two question according to this technique tho.. 1. When you want a sound to be more "back in the mix" is this a good way to go? it feels like its more in the back, and all u have to do with this element is to set it on the right gain relative to other elements.. 2. I have laid down a chord progression with a detuned 16 voiced saw both with this reverb trick and one with no reverb.. and it feels bigger when im listening to it, does this technique create some stereo width ? this is maybe a stupid question but i have been struggling lately with width on my own tracks hehe... would be grateful for some answers. You are awesome man and a good teacher! :D
@@emphatic001 I felt if I wanted this kind of technique then I could have more control doing it this way I guess. This ain’t taking anything away from shimmer as it’s a great.

Yeah the possibilities are endless! Good look with your dissertation! :)
It's definitely a money saver. I was considering to buy the Valhalla shimmer but now I gotta try this method first. Thank you Allan
You are welcome :)

This is an amazing technique. I kind of use this in a way a bit different but really adds so much. Brilliant
Thanks! How do you use it?

Creates a nice soaring lead sound. Out the two reverb plugins which one do you use the most?
I don't use shimmer anymore. I use logics reverbs and arts :)
@@Allan-Morrow-AM-Studios Thanks
@@Allan-Morrow-AM-Studios Can I ask, why don't you use shimmer anymore? Did you get tired of the sound?

Hello friend and colleague, I just wanted to ask you if the ArtsAcoustic Reverb License is permanent?
I would really appreciate your answer
I purchased it out right but I think the developers are no longer working on this plug-in
Now if you want to get really crazy slap a compressor after the verb and side chain it to the original
Does this work in FL as well?
yup
Что за программа Аблетон?
does anyone know how to acheive this in FL studio?
route the instrument to a second mixer channel and do the same exact thing
