And yet, the Sarges still won. Just goes to show you how powerful they are, they don't even need their full numbers to take down the mighty Cyberdemon. 😱
Many such cases..I wish he could turn that feature off...It would give a more accurate examination...If CD's dont hurt themselves, why should other characters? If those 800 managed to get a shot off, the battle would be over pretty soon.
The friendly fire works both ways, and it is part of the game. But I would like to see a different way of placing those 1000 enemies, so that they don’t shoot each others. For example, stairs.
@@Bisqwit "friendly fire works both ways"...no it doesnt...if the shotgun guys didnt slaughter themselves en masse, it would be a quick video. I have yet to see a CD kill another CD...or themselves from splash damage. Thats my point, Crabby Joe.
I’d _REALLY_ love to see stuff like this with the Voxel Doom II mod enabled once it releases on August 1st. Even if for only a single video to give people a taste. 😊
Oh man...the shotgunner at 7:35, priceless. I imagine it would go down like this.... Shotgunner #27- "We won! We won! We won!" Shotgunner #08- "Yeah we did! Wait, what is that?" Shotgunner #27- "I don't see an...bam (insta slushy).
The Shotgunners would have dominated if you didn't spawn them so far away, ofc the Cyberdemon at a range where the Shotgunners are lucky to land a single pellet. In Nightmare!, 50 Shotgunners would turn a Cyberdemon into swiss cheese if they weren't spawned a mile away...
When you have a couple hundred of them firing, you have 3 pellets per shot. Some of those are bound to connect. All 3 pellets are contained within a 22° arc and are hitscan. It isn't necessarily that the shots are being aimed well, it is just random chance. But a ton of pellets equals a ton of hits.
2 CD vs 1000 Sarges on Nightmare: in the first 3 seconds of the fight, pretty much 80% of the Sarges die to friendly fire.
The audience cheers when that kind of thing happens.

@@costco_pizza the Cybie isn't very smart, sticking itself in the middle, as if to make sure it can fired at from too many angles for it to handle.
Glad to see the HP remaining reading appearing more often nowadays. There are many past videos where I missed it.
He tended to only do it when there were 3 or fewer monsters on one side of the battle.
Obviously the Sergeants didn't get the memo: Shotguns are for *close* encounters!
The ones in Doom actually work pretty good at longer ranges.
Plus even with a 5% pain chance, hitscan enemies can semi-stunlock him and that means more shotgunners alive for longer
Sergeant at 7:35: YEAH we got him, and I lived!
Rocket: and I took that personally
The Cyber, posthumous: _"you humour me greatly with your arrogance and contempt"_
LOL!...IKR?
Came to see shotgunners go SPLAT, stayed for the Cyber explosions.
About 800 of those shot gunners were killed by friendly fire

@@Bisqwit CDs are not damaged by other CD's rockets, or by their own AFAIK.
@@projektkobra2247 Yes, that applies to cyberdemons. What’s your point?

I came to read the comments
Cyberdemons always make life hard even when they go down...
They never skip glutes day
Shot-gunners always make their own life hard even when they're losing...
3:30 Multi-kill! XD
Yea that was sick
It was the shotgunners' civil war, and by the way there were also cyberdemons.
Nightmare stats for the win.
Welp time to play some doom II now 😁
Would you mind making fights among Hexen or Quake monsters ?
He's doing Hexen. Quake needs a different engine.
There’s one with the Ettins and Afrits from Hexen.
