本曲以孩童的視角，傾訴身處內戰面對死亡的恐懼，他們在未知迷茫中伸出雙臂，渴求能在染血的槍口下尋找生命的愛與寧靜，只盼黑暗早日退去、和平終會降臨。樂曲中絕望的高聲呼求，傳達戰亂下的人們對於擁有家、擁有愛、追求和平的深切渴望。歌曲末尾，作曲家特別加入一句以克羅埃西亞語演唱的歌詞，低聲吟詠出孩子的心聲，也表達對當地艱困處境的關懷。
