Kudos to Roman Reigns. Getting booed in the mid 2010’s, fighting leukemia, carrying the company during the pandemic with his heel turn, and making his iconic title reign legendary. We appreciate your hard work Roman. Congrats Cody. Dusty is proud of you. 👏🏽
Roman choosing to hit Seth rather than Cody even when he knew his reign could fall apart just depicts how a man even after being at the top of the mountain never forgets that one betrayal. Poetic. Also a SHIELD triple threat at mania which ends in the End of an Era style will help me die peacefully!
We can only hope one day, just that one day arrives, and Jon Moxley comes back to the WWE. Then we may very well witness a Triple Threat Match of a lifetime that is capable of surpassing WM40.
@@Awful_AnimationsI mean it didn’t really matter .. Hit Cody and you still have to deal with Seth .. hit Seth you still have to deal with Cody. I get what you’re all saying but just because he hits Cody doesn’t mean he can pin Cody if Seth is on his ass.
Thank you Triple H and Nick Khan for listening to the fans and making WWE fun to watch again. Wrestlemania 40 was a memorable event to watch. I still feel that Austin would’ve been a better fit than the Undertaker but wrestlemania wouldn’t felt right without having the deadman appear at the event. Like Michael Cole said earlier, “Dammit, I love professional wrestling.”
Honestly, I expected Austin too (like most), but when you think about it, it HAD to be Taker. They couldn't have any of the current roster take out Rock b/c he's the 'boss' now, and there would be Repercussions, so it had to be someone from Rock's Era.. someone Old School. Plus whoever takes Rock out has to then just.. leave. Nobody else is coming in to take THEM out, and They can't help Cody b/c then Cody didn't win clean. They can't stick around to celebrate, that takes away from the Cody/Roman story. Triple H could have come in and dealt with the Rock, but that would have lead to more storyline later, and taken the spotlight off Cody's moment. Austin could have come in and given Rock the Stunner everybody was expecting, but then that's just revisiting the Austin v Rock days, restarting an old feud instead of starting something new. They needed someone who could come in, take out the Rock, and disapear without a victory lap, and without future storyline Consequences that take the spotlight off of THIS story. They needed someone who could.. pardon the pun... BURY the past, rather than bring it back. There's really only one man who can do all that.. The Deadman.
@@MrJaybeezy123 when you look at Austin and Undertaker, which one between them is more known at WRESTLEMANIA? Which one of them is more iconic at WRESTLEMANIA? Which one of them has been the true final boss of WRESTLEMANIA? No disrespect to Austin, but it was definitely the right call to have Taker interfere.
Night 2 genuinely surprised me of how good it was I genuinely think it was better than night 1 every match tonight was good and fun the Triple H era is looking very promising
Seth not betraying Cody might personally be my favorite thing about this weekend because seth lost a lot this weekend and he still stood by Cody who was once his enemy but he stood by him till the end so that the bloodline and roman can be stopped like Seth woulda been justified in not helping Cody again after night 1 but even so he still was there for him at the end. I dont know if they'll team up in the future or if they'll be enemies again down the line but i feel like they bonded through all of this from that press conference to Night 2 of Wrestlemania was good stuff man.
I had been saying that Seth turning on Cody would be a stupid swerve for the sake of swerve kind of thing , and HHH is better than that, thank god I was right. What we got was a true masterpiece
This was definitely the most emotion I've ever felt as a wrestling fan.. There was too much emotion for me to process.. seeing a historical reign end that lasted 4 years of our lives.. and then seeing Paul Heyman hugging Roman Reigns at the stage.. Then hearing Samantha Irvin voice crack when announcing Cody as the winner, and then seeing Cody hand the title to his mom.. man.. how can u not shed a tear?
Yeah I didn’t feel emotional. Honestly while I don’t hate Cody or anything I don’t feel he’s had it any harder or is any more deserving than a lot of guys on the roster. I would have felt more for Sami or Jey or even Drew to be honest, they had a much better story than Cody did, which was a pretty selfish story when you think about it.
It really felt like all three era, Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression Era and PG Era all passed down the torch to this new era with John Cena, Undertaker and SHIELD's Seth came to help.
Bringing out the shield Seth with a chair was a psychological strategy from Seth's end...The betrayal 10 years ago is what created the monster namely the Tribal chief...it is evindent from the way Roman literally went mad and got DQd at Royal Rumble in their one on one match...There was nothing that could end the Tribal chief unless it was the source that created him..the image of Seth in a Shield outfit with a chair in hand...When Seth and Cody lay there helpless Roman could've chosen Cody for the chair shot but instead he decided on finishing his story..hitting Seth with the "Plan B" attack..the chairshot. The psychological warfare costed the Tribal chief and Seth became the one to sacrifice it all to kill the monster he had created 10 years ago. If this isn't cinema I don't know what is.
It was the theme of night. Seth took his eye off the ball and lost his championship, Drew did the same, as well as Roman. Cody didn't and won. The theme being to stay focused on your goal and not let personal grudges get in the way of the goal. Honestly, it really was cinema.
Roman will forever haunt hitting rollins with the chair that cost him the match.Although he might be the tribal chief he made a rookie mistake he will forever regret. This mans historic title reign came to an end because of Seth Rollins and i dont think he's ever letting that go THAT FUED BOUTTA FEED FAMILIES🔥
As much as we all wanted Stone Cold. Undertaker actually made the most sense, he lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33. And this wasn’t about The Rock. It was about Roman’s past coming to haunt him. Cena, Seth as the Shield & Undertaker, it was executed perfectly. Austin had no business being there. Glad he wasn’t.
Actually, not really, otherwise, he would have striked Roman, I believe someone had said that in their last match together, Rock beat Taker, so Taker got his revenge
Seriously, a character can have multiple reasons for doing something, it’s called nuance and multi-layered characters, The Undertaker has issues with Roman From 23-2, he has issues with Paul Heyman From him being the manager of both Brock and Roman, the two guys to beat Taker at WM, he has history with The Rock and Taker needs to take back his title as The Final Boss Of Wrestlemania.
@@kharanraj6546 the only reason for taker to appear in that match was he is literally final boss of mania which makes sense from the point of view of mania not any other ppv
I was a big WWE fan back during 2014 when the shield betrayal happened. I'm not so much of a fan nowadays, but seeing what's basically the end of the decade long storyline involving the shield feud with Roman and Seth is honestly super special.
Words are not enough to express this WrestleMania, I'm overwhelmed with emotions. What a time to be wrestling fan. I love Seth but today my respect for that man grew even more. Fuck it Cody and Seth made me tear up three times tonight. And credits to all the superstars this was indeed the biggest WrestleMania of all time. Goodbye Roman, enjoyed the ride but it's time for Cody. What a beautiful and wholesome ending. When one story finishes another begins.
For me - 1) Drew vs seth including cm punk and Damian - 9.5/10 2) Pride vs final testimon - 7/10 3) La knight vs Aj - 9/10 4) Randy vsLogan vs Kevin including speed - 9.6/10 5) Bayley vs Iyo - 10 / 10 6) Roman vs Cody - 11/10
One thing i noticed with cody vs reigns was every interruption lead to 1 more cross rhodes in the 3 combo. When jimmy interupted it was one, solo was two then after all the chaos he hit the third
Mad respect to roman he went from getting booed out of the ring to carrying the company on his back for almost 4 years certified hall of famer let's acknowledge him for the last time ☝️☝️
Nah the character work Drew is showing is immaculate even when he's not on the screen or in ring, Like he Quote tweeted about his in between match tweet and said "FUCK". Even If he lost the championship he still took a massive W. Can't Wait for Punk vs Drew(or a triple threat adding SETH ROLLINS into the feud)
Drew McIntyre is buried, now he is going to job out to Punk and then get lost in the shuffle once again.... That's the respect which Drew deserves for carrying WWE during the pandemic era? Why does HHH hates him? Wtf has Drew to do for getting a proper world title run in front of fans?
@@gregzilla3139 it's not going to happen, HHH will book Punk to screw Drew again and then Drew will job out to Punk and then Drew will be seen only in catering... This is the respect which Drew deserves for carrying WWE during the pandemic era? 🤦🏻♂️ 🤦🏻♂️
I just got back into wrestling and this is my first wrestlemania since 2007 and my god when I say it was the best main event I’ve ever seen I truly mean it! This was top tier!!!!!
It's not a complaint but I had really wished it was Stone Cold who came out instead of Taker, It just would've made more sense as The Rock's rival. That being said, the main event was an overbooked cinema masterpiece and had pretty much everything I had hoped for. It's gonna feel weird to see Roman without a title now :(
I think this mania had the best aura, stories leading in, matches & the pay off at the end than any other mania ever, felt like I just sat through somthing really special, truly a great time to be a wrestling fan
as someone who grew up with attitude era, I just wanna say this is easily the best WrestleMania i ever watch in my life.. Thank you WWE, Papa H, my Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, Final Boss The Rock, Cody Rhodes, and the rest of the gang.. Simply, CINEMA..
I'm really happy for Bayley! She's been one of the most consistently entertaining people on the roster for years. SO glad to see her get her WrestleMania moment!
Wow what a WrestleMania, it's the best WrestleMania for me ever ,I started from WrestleMania 31 and that was my favourite till this one , congrats Cody u deserved it, Roman what a reign huge respect 🩷
Bro, I really wish Roman was the one who broke the streak, because imagine that. With the undertaker coming out. Getting vindication on the man who ended the streak, god damn it would’ve been beautiful
Another thing, in the end what Cody did to counter Roman's spear, is exactly what Randy Orton does to counter the spear, a kick just when roman is about to launch. It was Cody was taking notes from Randy's experience who was his mentor at a point.
I’ve always been a big critic but Now that it’s settled and the Roman reigns saga is over I gotta say my respect for Roman is at an all time high. We don’t have this incredible moment without him. Time will be very kind to his Reign as champion
21 years ive been watching wrestling. In all of those 21 years, i have never been as locked in as i was last night. I used to only be locked in like that for undertaker matches so for him to pop up legit outta nowhere, was so poetic for me personally. Overall my favourite Wrestlemania EVER.
It was damn near perfect, have been watching for 24 years, one of my favorite WrestleManias of all time. It felt like a series final, looking forward to what Papa H has next!
I was a HUGE WWE fan growing up and lost my love for it during the PG Era and after WM 40 I feel like I would be doing an injustice act if I weren’t to give SANTIZAP his flowers for bringing me and I’m sure hundreds of thousands of others who lost love/hope for the WWE back to the sport and giving us someone to express our opinions and thoughts 💐 great content and the build up for the greatest WM ever would not be the same without your videos, keep up the great work Santi
Drew vs Seth finisher fest worked solely because of the work they put on. Drew really is so intense and true to whatever he does, he better get to finish his story as well. And Punk in the commentary was just an added bonus
I want everyone to thank the rock for getting involved, Cody cry babies for forcing Cody back in the main event, the rock again for giving us the final boss caracther that would bring back a dead man for him to be taken out, John cena , Seth rollings for shielding Cody , triple h for setting everything in motion for one of the biggest nights ever, basically what I’m trying to say is thank you Vince McMahon for leaving the company.
I aint gona lie, I sobbed at the end of this match, I am stoked that Cody won but my heart is heavy for Roman, he gave us an amazing 3.5 year run that should never ever be forgotten, he more than deserves his flowers, he brought me back to watching wrestling at a time when I so so so angry at WWE for the shit they gave us from 2014 - 2018, so thank you Roman is well deserved
I feel like I witnessed the greatest Wrestlemania main event of all of time and professional wrestling as well. Though one thing I want to mention that not enough people are recognizing is that Roman had already gotten his revenge on Seth Rollins at the 2022 Royal Rumble where he was beating down on Seth with chair. However it seems as though Roman developed ptsd from that night back when Seth ended the shield, ultimately causing Roman to choose to beat down Seth yet again. This match had SPECTACULAR story telling.
Fun fact there was a light keep shining in our eyes during the first half till after knight won. So we were booing and cheering when the light got turned off so we could see we just chanted turn the fckn light off , we cant see etc 😂
My personal opinion is that WrestleMania 41 will probably bomb. BUT that's only because there's no chance in hell they'll be able to top WrestleMania 40. The expectations are gonna be through the f*cking roof next year, it's gonna be a hard act to follow
As of Backlash, I will have been watching WWE for a year, and this has been hands down the most entertaining year of my life. Thank you Santi for helping make this year that much more entertaining. If RUclips didn’t randomly recommend that best Royal Rumble moments and if WWE 2K22 wasn’t made free on PlayStation I probably wouldn’t have gotten into it. Funny how life works out sometimes. And also, AJ Styles new theme is fine, but his original theme is ICONIC!
I know I won't be seen but it needs to be said somewhere, WWE makes the crowd noise WAY quieter on TV, Night 1 wasn't as loud as Night 2 but it was LOUD the problem was 1. It was windy as hell and the wind was blowing straight to the left side of the stadium so their chants were already being pushed down 2. On top of the wind WWE legitimately COVERED certain chants they didn't like, during the Uso match almost everyone on the one side of the stadium was cheering for Dude Wipes so they muted them, that's why the Uso match was so quiet
Really interested to learn why Stone Cold wasnt involved. Everything pointed to him being involved, not the Undertaker. Cant wait to get to the bottom of that & see whats next for WWE

I’ve been a wrestling fan for about 11 years and I think this is the first time a match ending brought a tear to my eye it was such a chaotic beautiful moment that will live on forever
The light debacle reminds me of the boos last year when the screen malfunctioned during Seth v Logan. Then the screen turning back on got a huge pop and Seth thought it was for him 😂
SETH MVP ROLLINS 🔥🔥🔥 THANK YOU for everything you did for the title , you made it mean soo much at a time when we had historic title reigns . So Thank you SETH FREAKIN ROLLINS 💓🙏

Man this was EVERYTHING I could’ve hoped for AND MORE. Thank you so much for getting me back into wrestling at the perfect time Santi. I’m so glad I was able to watch and witness one of the GREATEST WRESTLEMANIA MAIN EVENTS EVER
For some reason Bayley has always given Heel Jeff Hardy vibes ever since 2019 but the amount of work isn’t talked about enough PERIOD. WrestleMania 40 was great, but definitely not better than WrestleMania 19. Jey vs Jimmy was boring, The Final Testiment vs The Pride sucked, The Sami vs Gunther finish was deflating, and Seth vs Drew was meh. This is definitely the best anniversary Mania, by a mile. And without a doubt, a top 15 to 20 best WrestleMania. But, THE BEST?! Let's not get carried away, WM39 might actually be better. This is my opinion, respectfully. If you feel like WM40 was the best, I am glad you enjoyed it that much and glad it was so great for you to watch. I had a blast watching this show, I'm not taking anything away from it, but THE BEST EVER?! I just feel that is a little heavy with the recency bias. I will however say that this is the only ending to a WrestleMania that Rivals WM20.(If we look at WM20, without letting real life events take away from the ending, it is still the best ending in WrestleMania history. But WM40 has a damn good argument for the best ending and I can honestly respect people saying it had the best ending.)
Lol what are you talking about just because you don't like those matches doesn't make it bad. This WrestleMania was fantastic and easily top 10. Only bad match was jimmy vs jey. Pride vs tft was fine and drew vs seth was amazing.
@@thegameking3931 Again, If you enjoyed it that much good for you, glad you enjoyed it that much. But, respectfully, I watched EVERY MANIA in a row, before WM40. I ain't gonna have recency bias just completely consume my views. I can tell you 12 WM's that are better. You wanna say the best Main Event? That is a different story. You wanna say best ending? That is also a different story. But, the whole show as the greatest ever?! Everyone was calling night one trash, before the main event. The final testiment match sucked, the Jey vs Jimmy match wasn't very good either, I was expecting Sami vs Gunther to be a lot better, LA Knight vs AJ Styles was too short, Drew vs Seth could've been so much better, and the crowd was dead on night one due to the cold. the 6 woman tag match was passable, but not great. There have been some stacked Mania's and this just wasn't one of them. This Mania had some forgettable matches on this show. I remember people saying WM30 was a top 5 Mania after it happened. WM30 aged like Milk not too long after, because everyone looked at the rest of the show besides the main event and realized the show was mid to low level overall. Watch this show 3 months or a year from now, I bet you won't have the same opinion. But, hey, this is just my opinion. If you disagree, no worries and stay blessed.
@@-SaintValentine okay name me 12 mania which are better I too rewatched entire WrestleMania. 80s and 90s were mid with most of them had crap match cards. 98 was best one since it had Kane vs taker and Shawn vs Austin only good matches saved that mania. 99 was good only for his main event, 2000 was another episode of raw same goes to most wm from 90s it felt like special raw with better stadium and crowd nothing else. Also don't tell me Bret vs Shawn at 96 makes mania 12 better because it's not it was a good match but damn boring for today standard it was enjoyable for 80s and 90s audience of those times. Now comes to 2000s wm 17, 19 were absolutely only good mania as whole then 24, 23 and 26. Just because those mania had big names from today's standard doesn't make it good. Also most WrestleMania from 2000s or 2010s had worthless mid card matches no one's care about and were mostly fillers to fill WrestleMania. If you see from WrestleMania after pandemic even most midcard matches makes WrestleMania worthy and storyline into it. Midcard titles are having main event storyline from past 2 years. When did mid card titles had main event or important storyline in 2000s tell me. Only one I can remember was Benoit vs angle in 2001 for ic, big show vs Cena in 2004 even though cena wasn't big name that time. This mania is easily top 10 along with 17, 19, 24, 28, 30, 31, 37, 39, 23. Also top 10 is based on whole match card performance not just 1 or 2 match being good. Like you can't call wm 26 or 25 is top wm just because Shawn vs taker was one of best match in wm mania history or 28 was banger just because hhh vs taker was amazing and cena vs rock was dream match which was good or 25 was best because kurt vs Shawn was one of best match of the wm history. Wm 39 is top 5 because it had 2 matches in 5star category, 1 match in 4.5 and 2 matches in 4 star and only 3 matches below 3 star. Wm 40 only had one drawback that's uso vs uso below 3 stars.
@@thegameking3931 Let me preface this statement. WM40 could age amazingly and I could be wrong, but that tends to not happen with WrestleMania's. Also, WM3 and WM10 are better shows for the time period and for historical significance. If you give no F@cks about either of those factors, they wouldn't be top 10 though. But, WM17, WM19, WM21, WM22, WM23, WM24, WM28, WM31, WM37, and WM39, are all better than WM40. All of those cards had multiple great matches on the cards. WM17 and WM19 I don't need to explain. WM21 was better by a mile, Undertaker vs Randy Orton was better than every match on WM40 outside of the main events and the same goes for Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels which was better than the main events. The first MITB match was insane, Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio was one of the greatest openers in WrestleMania history, Hogan attacking Muhammad Hassan was awesome, and Batista and John Cena winning their respective titles was an amazing set of moments. WM22 is the most underrated and slept on Mania, that show is so good for the card it has, I have no clue how WM30 gets talked about so much more than WM22. Because WM30 is a two match show, the opener and the closer. Like I said, the overall card does matter and there was more good on the cards that I just listed than WM40. If you count WM3 and WM10 for the reasons I previously stated, yeah WM40 isn't in the top 10. But being in the 20 best WrestleMania's isn't a bad thing. I personally believe there has only been like 8 to 10 WrestleMania's that were bad and like 4 that were boring. WrestleMania is usually a great show, and there are more good WrestleMania's than bad. I personally think being a top 15 WrestleMania is insane to achieve, considering how good the top 15 is. Respectfully, this is my opinion, if you disagree, no worries, and I do respect your opinion and your logic makes sense.
@@-SaintValentine my recent watch was wm 25 Shawn vs angle was perfect and taker vs Orton was good, yeah i forget about ladder match it was amazing too like every ladder match in mania but those 2 title match was okay it was good to see cena and Batista as next top guys of business. Batista was my favourite wrestler as kid that's reason why I was so happy when he returned in 2014 . I started watching WWE regularly from late 2012 and have watched every WrestleMania from 29 from till now this WrestleMania had no filler match or unwanted mid card match except for 6 women match which you can say was filler to give them spot at mania but it was decent match. Every mid cards matches are having storyline from past 3 WrestleMania and mid cards title like ic and us have some main event level or important build up and storyline. This mania was absolutely perfect only match which was bad was uso vs uso. Rest were fine. Soon it will be regarded as top 10 mania of all time by experts itself
I thought this fall of the Bloodline leads to Roman stepping back out for more cancer treatment. Everytime I saw him on TV for a few months, which was increasingly less and less, I thought he looked more sickly and figured he was going through chemo again, but I'm almost thinking that he's either between rounds or just done because he looked damn good both nights. I hope he's doing good. I acknowledge the tribal chief. ☝️
Appreciation is often realized in defeat, Roman Reigns….thank you for bringing the fans like myself back 2 years ago who lost the love of pro wrestling.
Greatest professional wrestling show ever is insane lol slow down maybe. Cody vs Roman was pure cinema and deserves the praise, Bayley vs Sky worked a really good match, and the triple threat was really good. Night 1, the only actual good match was Sami vs Gunther. The tag main event was pretty fun at times but it was a very slow match. Out of 13 matches, just 1 or maybe 2 stand out at as actually being great. Also, there's more wrestling outside of the WWE.

Night one was just okay
Seth not betraying Cody might personally be my favorite thing about this weekend because seth lost a lot this weekend and he still stood by Cody who was once his enemy but he stood by him till the end so that the bloodline and roman can be stopped like Seth woulda been justified in not helping Cody again after night 1 but even so he still was there for him at the end. I dont know if they'll team up in the future or if they'll be enemies again down the line but i feel like they bonded through all of this from that press conference to Night 2 of Wrestlemania was good stuff man.

It hâd no emotion
@@mihaimercenarul7467what do you mean… there was emotion. Explain?
I mean i see what u mean but i definitely wasn’t even close to tearing up. Im gonna be an insensitive prick heel here and say calm down bucko
However i am happy for Cody
Yeah I didn’t feel emotional. Honestly while I don’t hate Cody or anything I don’t feel he’s had it any harder or is any more deserving than a lot of guys on the roster. I would have felt more for Sami or Jey or even Drew to be honest, they had a much better story than Cody did, which was a pretty selfish story when you think about it.
I was 100% convinced Stone Cold was coming as the final backup. When the bell tolled I was so shocked. What a great WrestleMania
It really felt like all three era, Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression Era and PG Era all passed down the torch to this new era with John Cena, Undertaker and SHIELD's Seth came to help.
The goats of the attitude era(Rock, Taker) Austin was missing, the goat of Ruthless Aggression(John Cena), and the goat of the new era(Roman Reigns)
Doesnt the Rattlesnake have to have some hand in that though.
I was surprised he dyed his hair for it too!
The only thing I dislike about the Shield story is they completely ignore the fact that they reunited. Roman been got over Seth breaking them up
Roman will forever haunt hitting rollins with the chair that cost him the match.Although he might be the tribal chief he made a rookie mistake he will forever regret. This mans historic title reign came to an end because of Seth Rollins and i dont think he's ever letting that go THAT FUED BOUTTA FEED FAMILIES🔥
He got Rollins back. He's satisfied

No becoz taker is the ultimate wrestlemania final boss
@@321Cameranah that because Undertaker is the final boss of WrestleMania
Seriously, a character can have multiple reasons for doing something, it’s called nuance and multi-layered characters, The Undertaker has issues with Roman From 23-2, he has issues with Paul Heyman From him being the manager of both Brock and Roman, the two guys to beat Taker at WM, he has history with The Rock and Taker needs to take back his title as The Final Boss Of Wrestlemania.

Happy to watch that with you, man. When it finally finished I cried, I really did.
Bro, I really wish Roman was the one who broke the streak, because imagine that. With the undertaker coming out. Getting vindication on the man who ended the streak, god damn it would’ve been beautiful
When the shield music hit some stupid part of me thought maybe just maybe moxley would come out of the crowd
It might've been 3am brain but i've never cried watching Wrestling before. I cried watching this finale. What a moment.
Another thing, in the end what Cody did to counter Roman's spear, is exactly what Randy Orton does to counter the spear, a kick just when roman is about to launch. It was Cody was taking notes from Randy's experience who was his mentor at a point.
I legit thought Cody was gonna do an RKO at one point when he started punching the ground.
This is why I love pro wrestling. The characters, the stories, the surprises
I’ve always been a big critic but Now that it’s settled and the Roman reigns saga is over I gotta say my respect for Roman is at an all time high. We don’t have this incredible moment without him. Time will be very kind to his Reign as champion

That Iyo flip counter out of the Rose Plant was underrated
I know I won't be seen but it needs to be said somewhere, WWE makes the crowd noise WAY quieter on TV, Night 1 wasn't as loud as Night 2 but it was LOUD the problem was
1. It was windy as hell and the wind was blowing straight to the left side of the stadium so their chants were already being pushed down
2. On top of the wind WWE legitimately COVERED certain chants they didn't like, during the Uso match almost everyone on the one side of the stadium was cheering for Dude Wipes so they muted them, that's why the Uso match was so quiet

Like most people, I expected Austin too, but after thinking about it, i've come to the conclusion that it HAD to be Taker.
They couldn't have any of the current roster take out Rock b/c he's the 'boss' now, and there would be Repercussions, so it had to be someone from Rock's Era.. someone Old School.
Plus whoever takes Rock out has to then just.. leave. Nobody else is coming in to take THEM out. They can't help Cody b/c then Cody doesn't win clean. They can't stick around to celebrate, that takes away from the Cody/Roman story. So they have to take out Rock, and then just leave and let Cody/Roman finish their story.
I thought there was a small chance Triple H might have come in personally and dealt with the Rock, but that would have lead to a whole storyline later, and taken the spotlight off Cody's moment.
Austin could have come back and given Rock the Stunner everybody was expecting, but then that's just revisiting the Austin v Rock days, restarting an old feud instead of starting something new. Raw would be Rock calling out Austin to come back, there would be Consequences.. plus do you really see Austin taking out the rock and then just leaving without any celebration, and the match starting up again?
They needed someone who could come in, take out the Rock, and disappear without a victory lap, and without future storyline Consequences that take the spotlight off of THIS story.
They needed someone who could.. pardon the pun... BURY the past, rather than bring it back.
There's really only one man who can do all that.. The Deadman.
Because it's WrestleMania and you can't have the biggest Mania of all time without Taker
I’ve been a wrestling fan for about 11 years and I think this is the first time a match ending brought a tear to my eye it was such a chaotic beautiful moment that will live on forever

I love how santi voice sound seriously that fun and exciting at the the beginning
