Just for reference, I had no input into this tier list, I was just going through the list and giving my thoughts on why i thought they had the placings that they did. Like i mentioned in the video, i jumped in with my MoC team only using QQ, Blade and Clara as DPS and still 3 starred it. So at the end of the day just have fun
Do you mean dps pela? She might be good. Def shred pela however (and other debuffers in general) isnt that great due to enemies being killed and replaced very often

Herta went crazy, going from D tier to S+ tier. I hope Genshin does have these end game contents where forgotten or those who are in the lowtier characters will have usage again.
The problem is probably the role differences specially for DPS Like most of them simply dealing damage just that unlike hsr that has single, blast, and aoe and other type of attack like dot and FuA

It might just be a matter of investment level. Assuming you just want to reach 30k, just slap on passkey and ERR on Serval with rainbow crit gear and her ludicrously fast ults will stack enough shatter to get you there? Unfortunately I don't have Jing Yuan so I can't speak as to how well he performs at low levels. My moderately invested Jingliu hasn't done too well, but I haven't really done pure fiction beyond a token first attempt because I'm still prefarming for Kafka.
@@memetic_hazardthey are evaluating chars with 24 desired subs in their builds. JY has very good crit ratio with these subs and can easily clear mobs with every part of his kit. Tier list is not about who can do 30k with no gear.
Mr. Pokke, you need to stop being so elitist. It's like you don't even hear yourself talking, saying things like, "If you've been playing since Day 1, and you pulled Seele, her build should be done." The majority of players don't play the game like you do, don't do stamina refreshes, don't know the best relic leveling strategies, or even know what a "finished build" looks like! What you call a "Finished Build", many players would immediately call "unrealistic" or "whale build", and you have a very nasty habit of forgetting that the gear in HSR is fully RNG. You could legitimately have farmed nothing but the Quantum set since day 1, and still not have a perfect Seele, for example. It IS possible, and it's a big reason why a "finished build" for a DPS for a lot of players probably lands around 2600-2700 ATK, 134 SPD, 70%/140%, and no signature lightcone. They just slap a Crit Rate chest, get some decent pieces, and after that, they never touch that character's gear again, because the time and effort it would take to get gear BETTER than that isn't worth it to them, and they don't play the game as seriously as you do. Hell, that's likely the MEDIAN player: a lot of players would look at THAT build and say "Man, I wish I was that lucky with Relics!" I just think you would look a lot better in a chair, instead of on your high horse.
My Seele has 3K atk, sacrifices SPD for better crit ratio and cleared Pure Fiction with that minimal 70/170 crit ratio, been playing since release and that relics are just from crafting even using a Quantum orb with only 2% crit rate lol.
@@fuumaruu7486 My Jing Yuan has 2800 attack, 134 Speed, 70% Crit Rate, 235% Crit Damage, 2-Set Salsotto and 4-set Grand Duke. That means everyone must have those relics, right? You’re missing the whole freaking point of the post. Did I say that NO ONE has good Relics? But the relics I have for the General aren’t normal for a Jing Yuan, and the audacity of the idea that 3k attack/70 Crit/170 C.Damage is an average build for Seele is out of touch, especially for people without her Lightcone. You need to look outside your narrow perspective, and when you do, you’ll find out that many players have to deal with subpar Relics, because unlike us, they don’t get lucky, and might not invest as much time into Relic Farming. You aren’t the center of the universe, and not everyone has what you have: this is the literal same exact thing I was saying to Pokke.

I won't be surprised if a 70/200 serval can beat a poorly built herta for example. So if people say their Seele performs well, they really meant it but may not be the experience for everyone. Just like your jingyuan. Your jingyuan may be like S but other people jingyuan may only perform like A

Units are generally ranked on tier lists with the assumption that they are at equal investment: that's why so many people have disagreements on tier Lists in HSR and Genshin, because they look at two of their differently invested units, and see that the tier list doesn't match their subjective bias. A fully invested Seele with proper supports is gonna dumpster a poorly invested Jingliu with the proper supports.
As someone who has E0 DHIL, i dont agree putting him above or the same tier as Jingliu in PF. Reason being is that, for Jingliu, there are several ways to never exit her spectral transmigration state. Tingyun, Huohuo and ERR rope. Even if her atk will fall around 1.8k to 2k with it, the thing tho is, since she gets 2.2k atk on her enhanced state, it doesnt matter as enemies are squishy anyways. Plus the fact that IL would be spending 2 SP on a game mode that u want to run 2 dps cant be justified with the cost. Tho the last slot will always be either Herta or Blade and its going to be an easy 40k. Just my opinion, since PF favors more dual dps setup due to how it works, making a tierlist solely being only as "solo dps on the team" is pretty bad. Like Herta cant Kuru Kuru much if she doesnt have another unit that would enable the enemies to fall off below 50%. Just saying. She can do some, but it would be faster if there is another unit that can help her.
thats the point tho. to never exit transmigration state youre using two non damaging supports with jingliu just to keep her in that state. il can just keep a hanya on his team and keep spamming his blast attacks and the other dps will still be able to get sp especially when played with another sp positive aoe damaging support like pela or luochs
using hanya, bronya and a little bit speedtuning work for me tho probably sp consumption is a problem for him but both dhil and jingliu doing same score is not something i would oppose, it just probably harder to to do with dhil with the sp requirement
I reckon Topaz is fine where she is. She's strong for all the reasons Seele is - loads of actions, always kills her target, deletes the remaining boss at the end. Seele is better, but Topaz performs the exact same purpose while having strong synergy with Herta and Himeko, two of the best units in the mode. Like, my Himeko build is complete ass and my Himeko + Topaz + Asta + Ruan Mei team still 40k cleared no problem at all. Topaz be far from useless.
Prydwen put Kafka, Serval & Seele at S tier while Jingyuan is A tier but when you see on their own PF Statistic Avg. score Jingyuan clear faster than them lol.
I think it’s pretty obvious that pokke has a big hatred towards jingyuan, But all these creator’s reason of why jingyuan is so low is because “slow lightning lord” “Lightning lord is just…” When they really don’t know that even with slow lightning lord jingyuan still outperforms them So really, they’re just super biased Serval energy gap with jingyuan is just a mere 30 energy, but unlike JY, serval has got no LL, yet she still ranks higher than jy because apparently she can use ult one turn faster than jy 🤡 In fact, in PF, LL is only 30% of JY dmg
Makes sense for Seele. She's barely behind JY despite having no good quantum matchup (extra than important for quantum carries because of their relic set).

@@ukuser7382 It's not "10% dmg difference. Against quantum weak enemies she would be doing 20-24% more damage JUST from the resistance difference. And the quantum set would make her do 1.11x that 120% damage (at minimum, more with def shred debuffers). So that's 133% the damage she's doing now. And let's reverse the roles, pretend there's no lightning weakness. JY is now doing like 17% less damage. So Seele is slightly underperforming while missing 30% of her dps (which matters a lot because of resurgence momentum). If we swap the lightning weakness with quantum and look at their two performances afterwards.. Seele's 30% boost plus JY's 15% decrease would give Seele a 45% damage potential advantage.
@@ukuser7382Jing Yuan with RM and rutilant arena set is a very good character for PF and easily outperform E6 serval with the exact same relics and comp (quantum set from my Seele at 70/210 with JY sig LC and RM/Tingyun/Asta) LL is just a free 5 kill/bonus dmg in comparison to Serval's kit, her skill is not even AoE but blast... Putting her above him is just pure cope or hate toward JY
it's not exactly comparable as herta and himeko don't have any competition (yet), you're probably building characters to cover all elements and so building Himeko and Herta isnt as much of a waste as building Serval if you already have a JingYuan.
the ice/fire side also has physical, which, using your same analogy with JY, argenti destroys, Jingliu does the work too, there are plenty of Selees doing 35k+ easy points on 1st side.@@user-gq5sx8ft8o
Yo bro, the reason Topaz is quite high is the same case with Seele, combined with a FUA user numby hits quite a lot of times that it’s quite stupid… BUT unlike Seele, it’s hard to control and is not as stable as her resurgence(also not as strong) so Topaz is stuck at B.
@@Grayewick It does. Seele is by far the best PF dps character to hit 40k outside of some Erudition units. My Seele is E0S0 with mediocre 4 piece Musketeer and she did 40k on a half that is not quantum weak. Obviously she has some conditions like running Bronya with her but every single character needs synergy even Argenti so it's not even a downside.
Bro, I'm simply glad people put some more respect on blade's and seele's names...i don't know where the notion that they're "mid" came from. But seele is still in the conversation for top dps in all content in the game despite being the literal 1st dps unit we ever got. And blade is the most flexible dps unit in the entire game bar none. pure fiction gave people a much needed perspective on a lot of units that were slept on and i think it might shake off even how we approach moc in the future.

@sefjo5223 I get the frustration. I don't get the echo chambered slander for these units. Or any units, in fact... try them yourself, and if u find that, they suck sure. And of course, not everyone has the same lvl of investment per character and that does drastically change ur pov but...u should still be aware of that to know when the character just sucks or whether u simply aren't giving em the best they can (LCs and relics alike).

The problem with JY still in this mode, is that his damage is backloaded. Now he’s still great, but I wish it was like argenti where we had the option to like release lightning lord early at 6 stacks if we chose. But there’s no control and when you have herta himeko even seele clearing mobs instantly when they spawn, it feels bad to have to wait for Jy. Also what if there’s 1 mob left with 1 hp and LL hits it, it’s a waste and rng. Mid yuan mains stay mad 😂

mine is like cr75/150 and 2900 atk though there is alot of cd sub stat there isnt much cr substat so I have to go for cr body and there is no crit stat in orb except for rutilant set effect
How? My seele is 3k + atk, 75 cr and 160 crit damage and I can't do above 26k at the gepard stage. I have to use Himeko and Blade for the second stage otherwise I don't have the required elements.

Prydwen is a joke of a website, Himeko not being in S+ is an insult and Jing is the reason I was able to 80k everything with no guides or tryharding first try so they are obsessed with keeping at A no matter what for personal bias, all people like to talk is LL being slow like that changes his clearing the content with ease, literally the only thing people who don't play Jing can think about
I dont think himeko is S+ by herself. Tbh CN tier list made more sense which only put herta himeko combo in S+, and not the standalone characters. As standlone they still very splid S tho. But yea JY prob shouldve S at least, being in A indeed weird.
@@invertbrid I don't have Herta build, and Himeko carried me through all stages as far as I paired her with another DPS that handled doing the breaking and Ruan Mei, so I feel if she makes the content easy and maxing out her side that's all it needs to be for her to earn the spot but if all you consider S+ is what gets you 0 cycling then I can't argue with your logic and Himeko isn't that good, so I get what you're saying
Predween have good guides but terrible tier list . For MoC and now for PF . My advice for anyone is to look for builds and team camps but never look at their tier list
I mean there are no other popular and/or big tier list out there besides Prydwen so I would understand why majority of the NA community use it as reference.
Tbf it is like +1 -1 tier at worst. You wont ever get a 100% accurate tier list especially the main stream one since they will factor in like generalist etc also. S+ being undisputed is good enough for people to looking for what to build. People who is lazy enough to look at tier list instead of guide aint gonna build everything from S+ to A.
As a DHIL and JingLiu owenr I really didnt see any different between them in Pure Fiction, but I guess it is what it is. Yeah one is more easy to fit into teams, but...at this point do people actually stil have SP management issues? Coz there are so many ways to mitigate that.
I full auto'd and alt tab'd with blade on one side and jingliu on the other, they're S+ in my experience because of that. I think the reason 4 star erudition units are popular is because low energy cost, kill tons of enemies and get your energy back next turn. It's pretty good when you got characters like tingyun and huo huo too.
CN tier list is much more accurate, there are a lot of things wrong with this one but JY in A tier is a joke. 14 year olds in the comments spamming midyuan is a pretty sad thing to see ngl. Guys, you should at least graduate from a school to start trolling people on the internet.
Its how they have fun and they always get a reaction, ofc theyre gonna keep doing that. I doubt any of them even plays JY at all, most prolly already stopped investing in him when they were caught on with the whole Mid Yuan agenda all the big ccs were parroting.
Seele’s main advantage in this game for the future is that she has absolutely cracked teammates. When Sparkle comes out, Seele will probably be S+ tier in MoC. The only way she falls off is if they release a quantum dps character that outshines her. But even then she’s still a good unit.

yes i think the number in PF clear data is gonna stabilize, PF is still new so people dont know how to play it yet, i remember pela being such a low ranking in MOC but now she used everywhere. people will start to figure it out and make new strats.
I got full points with topaz in my team 🤷♂️ she basically Instakills 2 enemies when she double tosses numby and sets off a ton of chain reactions on top of it with the stacks being added as they enter. She’s not bad in it. She’s quite decent at manipulating the mechanic that does all the work anyway. She also is good at enabling himeko/xueyi follow ups if anything is fire weak on those teams.
you can keep jingliu in her enhanced state with tingyun and huohuo btw, my jingliu has 134 speed and both TY and HH are higher than that. the main thing i had to do is spam HH's skill so that she gets her ult faster
i think asta is deserving of the same place as tingyun solely because of the fact that her ult and skill breaks are capable of turning the tides, esp with the low amount of rounds

Yeah.. her rating is fine because its only one team. But that yeah.. I used Perma enhanced JL too and there was only 1 downtime and was able to get 30k+ each time. I did use Pela with her for breaks as a debuffer.. since she gets faster ults, JL had an easy time clearing mobs from Blast dmg especially the Trotter and Silvermane Boss, w/o Pela JL can't 1 shot with Blast.
I tried, she's slow. Often with dual dps pairing the enemies are dying before they get a turn so no/less hit for her to counter. N when i use her in hyper carry team i can't get 3 stars on PF4. Current PF hugely favour AoE ult to spread shatter stacks, clara ult is a buff casted on herself so ulted counter doesn't give shatter stack.
I have Clara and did not find her that great. She probably has to be used in some dual dps comps but even then its the other dps that is carrying her. Most of the time enemies are dying before they get a chance to even attack. If you are giving enemies chance to attack then you are slow. I also have Jingliu and she was not that awesome either. Certainly not as good as Jing Yuan who was way better than both of them who is hitting everything all the time.
If you think JY should be in A because "LL is too slow" you don't even know his kit. His ult does more in Pure Fiction that both his LL and his skill together. Pure clown behaviour, easy S. Far better than Serval.
I think he does have a sip before recording, he is married with children after all, so yeah. But with that said, he is typically like that in many of his videos, and I love it!
Asta is ranked so highly because she's a team support who pairs very well with Ruan Mei. I would put Himeko in S+ easily, because her + Ruan Mei + other units who line up with enemy weaknesses is an extremely easy 40k. You don't need a sustain at all with such a setup. Maybe it's a bit bias to me because I have over 20 characters at level 80 so I have no issues getting Himeko the breaks she needs. Jingliu + Bronya + energy support is a very easy 40k method in my experience as well. If you want, you can do ERR Jingliu + Quid Pro Huohuo + Tingyun + Bronya and have infinite uptime, but I mostly just did the double dps comp with her. Kafka with an energy setup is pretty nasty in Pure Fiction because of her energy back on shocked enemies. If you don't mind building the energy setup on her, she's up there with the other super ez 40k enablers. Even without it though, she does just fine. As for Seele... Eh, she's fine, but she's as good as she is for you because of your gear investment. I feel like if you put that level of optimized gear on any AoE dps, they will just as easily 40k as her, respectively. To be fair, it's probably a similar situation for my Jingliu. She has bonkers gear which is certainly a reason why she is so effective for me in an ideal setup for her. Relics do matter a lot in this game at the end of the day.
At the end of the day as well, these units a re a couple thiusand points off statistically averaged, so pick and choose who is your best then go ham. Argenti is an outlier so lets not count that in. Also this is the first pure fiction. Who is to say they will add ine of thise revive mobs, whose to say they wont put a fuking destruction trotter out of nowhere, whose to say they wont put automaton btch
@@Aleks96Clips Yes, if you dont have an 80% crit rate, you will definitely feel bad having runs be inconsistent. Although if you can basic attack thrice with seele bronya. You basically advance seele 60% and give a second turn to seele. But be sure to speed tune bronya to be after that 60% adv forward. So total of three guaranteed seele turns.
JingLiu doesn't really have down turns in PF. Her skill and Ult gets her right back in and still clears a wave, even if it feels bad to use ult out of her form.
Mr. Pokke...someone in ur chat needs to bully u into playing a well built serval. In fact u need to do that for all 4 star dps. It's free content but also it'll open ur eyes on the potential some of these units have that are all slept on. Not everyone is QQ but...QQ is stupid😂. I get the whole resource management thing but we're no longer dry for resources like we used to at the start and can afford to build more than just a few units nowadays imo.
disagree with topaz being "shit" on pf. i got 35k on stage 3 node 2 with her as hypercarry. she easily kills 4 mobs with numby acting as a wannabe resurgence. its the same case as seele with bronya extra turns and tingyun energy battery. yes she's harder to use since numby fua is random after kill (and when there's elites you miss an ads kill). i'd say she's a high B/low A.
21:10 I can't say I agree. Not everyone has enough units built to do both at 30k. As long as it is past 20k on 1st side it can be viable with 25k+ being very likely to get 3*. Also I don't really see the reason behind having the tier lists based on characters themselves when their viability changes with each MoC and soon PF rotation (with me finishing this PF with Sushang who is D tier here). I'd rather see team tierlists for specific rotations instead. Maybe a general tierlist too but using historical MoC/PF statistics instead of feelscrafting.
Mid Yuan mains, gotta be the most oversensitive and insufferable fanbase of a game I've seen yet, wishing harm for CC when they didn't worship your fav character, and *they* wanna call others childish lmao 💀
14:20 - Serval is pretty good in MoC as well. In dual DPS teams with Ruan Mei or with Bronya in a Hyper team EDIT: I'm talking about E6 Serval of course. Wouldn't recommend her at lower Es

Im late but, when so many follow ups from either himeko or herta come and hit the enemies, Numby is going to get a shit ton of turns. With Herta especially, Topaz gets an enemy low Herta follow up kill half hp Numby hits and gets another enemy low and so on @@viethoanggamer
U never watch Himeko/Herta PF run before. Erudition lower the hp of the boss along with the minion they kill. They have absolutely no problem killing the boss after the mob is all dead. Selee DOES NOT lower the boss hp. She only can focus on the minion. So it look like she is one shot a boss with many hp left. Dude, when Erudition clear all mob. The boss has at most 20% hp left and one touch they died. Every showcase of Selee 40k point out there is full 4 cycles used and barely make it. Himeko and other Erudtion can easily do 40k within 0 to 2 cycles.
I feel weird about this tier list, and JY himself is not even my main concers, there is a lot of similar characters with different ranking. JL and DHIL were mentioned, JL have better average result with Blade, but it's the reason to give Blade better rank, I dont think it's enough for JL being better then DHIL. Pela do same spamming with Serval, even better actually, but Pela is lower for some reason. Hanya spd buffing in hypercarry close to Asta and she still gain some sp fpr sp heavy teams, but still lower then asta. Topaz being 2 tier above YQ lol.
Just as a note Topaz is actuallyt pretty useful for the same reasons as seele, she just gets so many turns since numby is able to do off turn damage, she works really well with like herta cuz numby can get an enemy below 50% and herta will do a fua, repeat and you clear the entire stage, so i think B tier is fair
Anything with fair recharge and aoe burst can arguably be high tier just bcs mei exist for dmg and that extra 30 toughness for those annoying 90 toughness mobs

It's wild that this is a real thing that a real person with a functioning frontal lobe said about a Honkai character. This is why we teach history in school, because when you don't know history, you're bound to repeat it. Mr. Pokke, please go watch a video about the evolution of the Honkai Impact 3rd Meta, because I think you'll see a shockingly similar pattern in the style of powercreep between the two titles. The next Quantum Main DPS 5* that releases, REGARDLESS of whether they're supposed to be AoE or Single target focused, will likely completely dumpster Seele at every equivalent level of investment. That's just how Hoyoverse designs their games.
If there's another character that boosts their SPD, advances forward on their own base skills, and finally doubles their dmg with a buffed state, she'll fall off but do they nerf characters? Nope. If there's a severe powercreep in this game, then 4* shouldn't be competing with 5* characters at all.
@@fuumaruu7486 You’re right that Honkai very rarely nerfs characters, but I think you’re under a misconception: it’s not because of some valiant effort for every character to be forever viable, it’s because they don’t have to. Following the trend of Honkai Impact 3rd, the game that many of the dev staff in Honkai Star Rail allegedly split off from, characters will simply have higher multipliers and more powerful kits as time goes on. The current trajectory of the game has already proven that it’s following this formula: the RNG nature of the Relic System is simply masking the sheer different between character’s potential. The older the unit is, the longer players have had to build and perfect them, and so their average performance has already risen to its resting state, while new units need time to rise to their potential, muddling the power gap between them for long enough that players don’t immediately notice the difference. This is different than Honkai Impact, where the majority of a character’s build could be done within a day, due to the majority of “gear” being additional items you pulled from the Gacha (far more expensive than HSR to build a character, tbh). Due to this, the impact on the meta was immediate and jarring, despite the differences sometimes being only a 5-10% increase. The absence of Leaderboards in HSR also masks the sheer difference in power between characters, with data needing to be extrapolated from mass data, rather than readily apparent when you see the new unit dominating every top spot of your Superstring Bracket. Overall, if you want to define “Falling off” as when another identical unit who does the exact same thing as Seele, but better, comes out, than sure, that might not ever happen. But that’s not what “Falling off” means, man, and deep down, we all know that. Falling off means that another Quantum DPS comes out that dumpsters her damage, regardless of how their kit works, and thus kicks her out of her current niche of being (usually) the top Quantum DPS unit. It WILL happen, and when it does, it’ll be extremely abrupt, because that DPS will likely be able to just steal Seele’s busted Relics (Quantum set is absurdly powerful, one of the reasons she’s still considered strong), and deal 20-30% more damage than she could even WITH resurgence procs. If you don’t believe me, look up “4 years of Honkai Impact 3rd’s Meta DPS compiled into a Bar Race” on RUclips, a video by Keebster, and you’ll see what I mean.

It is not just that, the justification and methodology for the tier list was screwed up They assumed both side were equivalent, which is not true, one side has 4 enemy line up with around 12+ range of enemies optimally The other side has 5 enemies over 10 range What it means, is that full AoE character (erudition) that had they weakness on the longer side, were slowed down due to the inability to take full advantage of their AoE and spread out their damage over 20% more range of enemies due to them being more spread out This led to fire and thunder erudition having slower clear and Ice and Physical erudition faster clear In reality, when taken into account, character like Herta do less damage and slower clear than Himeko on the 4 side And Argenti gap with Jing Yuan isn't as big, which is further justification of him not being A But instead those duck went ahead and stated "well we have score for both side so we can compare them side by side", even their justification drastically overlook the 5vs4 part for AoE

@@konn3424 She is actually. DDD + 4p wind set with 160-ish spd on her, use her ult on herself. This is basically a Bronya or Asta but drags everyone up every 1 to 2 turns (can be more stabile with Vonwaq or Penacony 2p) while she zips like crazy. Iirc she can move up to 6 times or more at cycle 0 with HH and RM sig lc teamup, and at minimum allows everyone to move min 2 times per cycle at 118 ish speed. Some of the sole dps destructions units low cycle or full 40k clears were because DDD-self ult Ting tactic exists. That doesn't even count her ability to charge ults for others, therefore extra moves depending on DPS, in the first place. She deserves a tier on her own in PF tbh...

As a Seele Main myself, i loved that Seele section, and i consider myself having one of the best Seele too. I even got her E1 accidentally, cause i was pulling on her rerun banner with Topaz, cause i wanted the 4 stars on it but got a back to back after getting Topaz at like hard hard pity, close to 90. It was a sign, and my spirit of playing Seele never wavered since. Also yeah, every time i see someone or something that is remotely a good teammate or buff for Seele, you know ill be pulling for them. Sparkle is gonna be mine, and not just because i love her design too!

I struggled a little with Pure Fiction, but only because I kept trying to run MonoQuantum on one side. In the end I managed 65.000 with this: Node 1: Pela E6, Bronya, Ruan Mei, Jingliu Node 2: Fu Xuan E1, Tingyun E6, Asta E6, Jing Yuan E1 I m still wondering if Himeko + Herta is really good. I tried before, but I guess they just aren't built enough yet. Himeko: 2900 ATK, 125 SPD, CR 49.3 (>_>), CDMG 132, 90% BE (4pc Ashblazing, 2pc Glamoth) Peaceful Day S5 Herta: 2300 ATK, 143 SPD, CR 63, CDMG 127 (2pc Quantum, 2pc SPD, 2pc Glamoth) Breakfast S5
I might just be biased, but Jing Yuan is still better than Serval in Pure Fiction for me, maybe comparable. I do agree that the LL is slow, but then you don't have to wait on him. Give JY er rope/Tingyun and/or Bronya for more ults. Are people forgetting that his ult also deals damage, not just LL? LL is just there to clean up the rest. I got full stars in PF bc of him and Argenti. (Didn't even use er rope on him.) I would also not build a new unit like Serval if JY is already capable of doing what she can do.
How is phys break worse than fire? It has literally the same front damage and much higher dot damage. And there are clears with solo phys trailblazer for 30k+ score, so I would place him in B at least.
I haven’t gotten this point in the video, but maybe he meant in an aoe context as our only aoe break is argenti (somewhat low) and phys trailblazer (decent option) while for fire there’s hook, asta, himeko, fire tb. But I could be wrong
There is no world where il is above jingliu in pf. pure fiction is about dual dps anyways run il with another dps and your lacking sp. you get so much energy from killing the mobs with jingliu, you can definitely keep it a 100% uptime with ting and huo. You can run her with herta, argenti, blade, etc. Not to mention most enemies are weak to ice.
As a Jingyuan enjoyer, he can easily get 3 *, but he does underperform trying to 40k compared to other units. I agree with the rank, sadly. Maybe if we don't have a freaking giant robot hand stealing him to cancel our savior LL next time, he can climb the ranks. : /
I have E0S1 Jingyuan too. With 2.9k attack and 136 SPD, Bronya with 135 SPD, and Tingyun. I had a hard time clearing Svarog with full stars. Also, the very slow also LL always makes me uncomfortable.

my issue with lighting lord particularly in cycle based content is you feel how tied to Lenny your damage really is, nothing is worse than having a 10 stack LL stuck at the top of -1 cycles
That's like the worst thing in MoC but in pure fiction I don't see it being that big of a problem. I only see it as an extra attack (possibly for the boss) cuz skill and ult kills everything anyway. If we can just ignore that the LL might hit one or two weak enemies around wave 1/3 and 2/3 it's actually not too bad cuz I just treat it as bonus dmg and it exist. For those who are running follow up set on him might see a more significant issue cuz his follow up needs to hit before the buffs stack
I think Jing Liu has a significant advantage over IL in pure fiction because of being a better carry in teams with 2 or 3 carry. Why would someone use 1 destruction dps as the only hypercarry in pure fiction? It's doable but inefficient. IL consumes a lot of skill points which is a clear disadvantage.
I still don't fucking get, to this day, why people still tier Seele at at least S for AoE. AoE literally means AREA of effect. Seele is a character of The Hunt, which specializes for SINGLE TARGET, if it wasn't obvious enough with her kit. Resurgence only gives her the ability to hit multiple people but it's still SEQUENTIAL, not SIMULTANEOUS. It's so crazy how misguided and deluded people are.
Because she still gets the job done? This is like complaining the brain doesn't actually do true multitasking and sequentially switch between each task every seconds. As long as it works, it works, and the stats of how Seele perform in this game mode relative to other AoE damage dealers prove that.

@@invertbridShould be easy for someone to test. Just use her on Svarog side where she doesn't have the benefit of ice weakness, and use the shatter stack on spawn buff. It's not the worst possible matchup (ice is one elite plus 12 minions vs. quantum's one elite plus 6 minions) but it should be a good enough approximation.

Unfortunately I don't have Jing Yuan so I can't speak as to how well he performs at low levels. My moderately invested Jingliu hasn't done too well, but I haven't really done pure fiction beyond a token first attempt because I'm still prefarming for Kafka.

Mr. Pokke, you need to stop being so elitist. It's like you don't even hear yourself talking, saying things like, "If you've been playing since Day 1, and you pulled Seele, her build should be done." The majority of players don't play the game like you do, don't do stamina refreshes, don't know the best relic leveling strategies, or even know what a "finished build" looks like! What you call a "Finished Build", many players would immediately call "unrealistic" or "whale build", and you have a very nasty habit of forgetting that the gear in HSR is fully RNG. You could legitimately have farmed nothing but the Quantum set since day 1, and still not have a perfect Seele, for example. It IS possible, and it's a big reason why a "finished build" for a DPS for a lot of players probably lands around 2600-2700 ATK, 134 SPD, 70%/140%, and no signature lightcone. They just slap a Crit Rate chest, get some decent pieces, and after that, they never touch that character's gear again, because the time and effort it would take to get gear BETTER than that isn't worth it to them, and they don't play the game as seriously as you do. Hell, that's likely the MEDIAN player: a lot of players would look at THAT build and say "Man, I wish I was that lucky with Relics!"

My Seele has 3K atk, sacrifices SPD for better crit ratio and cleared Pure Fiction with that minimal 70/170 crit ratio, been playing since release and that relics are just from crafting even using a Quantum orb with only 2% crit rate lol.

You’re missing the whole freaking point of the post. Did I say that NO ONE has good Relics? But the relics I have for the General aren’t normal for a Jing Yuan, and the audacity of the idea that 3k attack/70 Crit/170 C.Damage is an average build for Seele is out of touch, especially for people without her Lightcone. You need to look outside your narrow perspective, and when you do, you’ll find out that many players have to deal with subpar Relics, because unlike us, they don’t get lucky, and might not invest as much time into Relic Farming. You aren’t the center of the universe, and not everyone has what you have: this is the literal same exact thing I was saying to Pokke.

Units are generally ranked on tier lists with the assumption that they are at equal investment: that's why so many people have disagreements on tier Lists in HSR and Genshin, because they look at two of their differently invested units, and see that the tier list doesn't match their subjective bias. A fully invested Seele with proper supports is gonna dumpster a poorly invested Jingliu with the proper supports.
As someone who has E0 DHIL, i dont agree putting him above or the same tier as Jingliu in PF. Reason being is that, for Jingliu, there are several ways to never exit her spectral transmigration state. Tingyun, Huohuo and ERR rope. Even if her atk will fall around 1.8k to 2k with it, the thing tho is, since she gets 2.2k atk on her enhanced state, it doesnt matter as enemies are squishy anyways.
Plus the fact that IL would be spending 2 SP on a game mode that u want to run 2 dps cant be justified with the cost.
Tho the last slot will always be either Herta or Blade and its going to be an easy 40k.
Just my opinion, since PF favors more dual dps setup due to how it works, making a tierlist solely being only as "solo dps on the team" is pretty bad.
Like Herta cant Kuru Kuru much if she doesnt have another unit that would enable the enemies to fall off below 50%. Just saying. She can do some, but it would be faster if there is another unit that can help her.

I reckon Topaz is fine where she is. She's strong for all the reasons Seele is - loads of actions, always kills her target, deletes the remaining boss at the end. Seele is better, but Topaz performs the exact same purpose while having strong synergy with Herta and Himeko, two of the best units in the mode. Like, my Himeko build is complete ass and my Himeko + Topaz + Asta + Ruan Mei team still 40k cleared no problem at all. Topaz be far from useless.

@@ukuser7382 It's not "10% dmg difference. Against quantum weak enemies she would be doing 20-24% more damage JUST from the resistance difference. And the quantum set would make her do 1.11x that 120% damage (at minimum, more with def shred debuffers). So that's 133% the damage she's doing now.
And let's reverse the roles, pretend there's no lightning weakness. JY is now doing like 17% less damage.
So Seele is slightly underperforming while missing 30% of her dps (which matters a lot because of resurgence momentum). If we swap the lightning weakness with quantum and look at their two performances afterwards.. Seele's 30% boost plus JY's 15% decrease would give Seele a 45% damage potential advantage.

it's not exactly comparable as herta and himeko don't have any competition (yet), you're probably building characters to cover all elements and so building Himeko and Herta isnt as much of a waste as building Serval if you already have a JingYuan.

My Seele is E0S0 with mediocre 4 piece Musketeer and she did 40k on a half that is not quantum weak. Obviously she has some conditions like running Bronya with her but every single character needs synergy even Argenti so it's not even a downside.

Bro, I'm simply glad people put some more respect on blade's and seele's names...i don't know where the notion that they're "mid" came from. But seele is still in the conversation for top dps in all content in the game despite being the literal 1st dps unit we ever got. And blade is the most flexible dps unit in the entire game bar none. pure fiction gave people a much needed perspective on a lot of units that were slept on and i think it might shake off even how we approach moc in the future.
Seele has two sides of people,
Those who crit and those who do not crit
Seele needs higher investment to clear mobs and a lot of players that are vocal are allergic to playing the game.

The problem with JY still in this mode, is that his damage is backloaded. Now he’s still great, but I wish it was like argenti where we had the option to like release lightning lord early at 6 stacks if we chose. But there’s no control and when you have herta himeko even seele clearing mobs instantly when they spawn, it feels bad to have to wait for Jy. Also what if there’s 1 mob left with 1 hp and LL hits it, it’s a waste and rng. Mid yuan mains stay mad 😂

mine is like cr75/150 and 2900 atk though there is alot of cd sub stat there isnt much cr substat so I have to go for cr body and there is no crit stat in orb except for rutilant set effect
How? My seele is 3k + atk, 75 cr and 160 crit damage and I can't do above 26k at the gepard stage. I have to use Himeko and Blade for the second stage otherwise I don't have the required elements.

I full auto'd and alt tab'd with blade on one side and jingliu on the other, they're S+ in my experience because of that. I think the reason 4 star erudition units are popular is because low energy cost, kill tons of enemies and get your energy back next turn. It's pretty good when you got characters like tingyun and huo huo too.
CN tier list is much more accurate, there are a lot of things wrong with this one but JY in A tier is a joke.

Seele’s main advantage in this game for the future is that she has absolutely cracked teammates. When Sparkle comes out, Seele will probably be S+ tier in MoC. The only way she falls off is if they release a quantum dps character that outshines her. But even then she’s still a good unit.

I got full points with topaz in my team 🤷♂️ she basically Instakills 2 enemies when she double tosses numby and sets off a ton of chain reactions on top of it with the stacks being added as they enter. She’s not bad in it. She’s quite decent at manipulating the mechanic that does all the work anyway. She also is good at enabling himeko/xueyi follow ups if anything is fire weak on those teams.
you can keep jingliu in her enhanced state with tingyun and huohuo btw, my jingliu has 134 speed and both TY and HH are higher than that. the main thing i had to do is spam HH's skill so that she gets her ult faster
also topaz is clutch for that out of turn damage, but that's just my personal experience. maybe there's better units out there
i think asta is deserving of the same place as tingyun solely because of the fact that her ult and skill breaks are capable of turning the tides, esp with the low amount of rounds

Yeah.. her rating is fine because its only one team. But that yeah.. I used Perma enhanced JL too and there was only 1 downtime and was able to get 30k+ each time. I did use Pela with her for breaks as a debuffer.. since she gets faster ults, JL had an easy time clearing mobs from Blast dmg especially the Trotter and Silvermane Boss, w/o Pela JL can't 1 shot with Blast.

I tried, she's slow. Often with dual dps pairing the enemies are dying before they get a turn so no/less hit for her to counter. N when i use her in hyper carry team i can't get 3 stars on PF4. Current PF hugely favour AoE ult to spread shatter stacks, clara ult is a buff casted on herself so ulted counter doesn't give shatter stack.
I have Clara and did not find her that great. She probably has to be used in some dual dps comps but even then its the other dps that is carrying her. Most of the time enemies are dying before they get a chance to even attack. If you are giving enemies chance to attack then you are slow. I also have Jingliu and she was not that awesome either. Certainly not as good as Jing Yuan who was way better than both of them who is hitting everything all the time.

If you think JY should be in A because "LL is too slow" you don't even know his kit. His ult does more in Pure Fiction that both his LL and his skill together. Pure clown behaviour, easy S. Far better than Serval.
They might have a say if LL was hitting less than 5 mobs at 10 stacks. But his Ult does significantly more damage than LL when he hits 5 enemies.

Arlan at D tier is insane
Asta is ranked so highly because she's a team support who pairs very well with Ruan Mei.
I would put Himeko in S+ easily, because her + Ruan Mei + other units who line up with enemy weaknesses is an extremely easy 40k. You don't need a sustain at all with such a setup. Maybe it's a bit bias to me because I have over 20 characters at level 80 so I have no issues getting Himeko the breaks she needs.
Jingliu + Bronya + energy support is a very easy 40k method in my experience as well. If you want, you can do ERR Jingliu + Quid Pro Huohuo + Tingyun + Bronya and have infinite uptime, but I mostly just did the double dps comp with her.
Kafka with an energy setup is pretty nasty in Pure Fiction because of her energy back on shocked enemies. If you don't mind building the energy setup on her, she's up there with the other super ez 40k enablers. Even without it though, she does just fine.
As for Seele... Eh, she's fine, but she's as good as she is for you because of your gear investment. I feel like if you put that level of optimized gear on any AoE dps, they will just as easily 40k as her, respectively. To be fair, it's probably a similar situation for my Jingliu. She has bonkers gear which is certainly a reason why she is so effective for me in an ideal setup for her. Relics do matter a lot in this game at the end of the day.
At the end of the day as well, these units a re a couple thiusand points off statistically averaged, so pick and choose who is your best then go ham. Argenti is an outlier so lets not count that in.
Also this is the first pure fiction. Who is to say they will add ine of thise revive mobs, whose to say they wont put a fuking destruction trotter out of nowhere, whose to say they wont put automaton btch
Seele is way more dependant on having good gear stats because of how resurgence works
@@Aleks96Clips Yes, if you dont have an 80% crit rate, you will definitely feel bad having runs be inconsistent. Although if you can basic attack thrice with seele bronya. You basically advance seele 60% and give a second turn to seele. But be sure to speed tune bronya to be after that 60% adv forward. So total of three guaranteed seele turns.
JingLiu doesn't really have down turns in PF. Her skill and Ult gets her right back in and still clears a wave, even if it feels bad to use ult out of her form.

21:10 I can't say I agree. Not everyone has enough units built to do both at 30k. As long as it is past 20k on 1st side it can be viable with 25k+ being very likely to get 3*. Also I don't really see the reason behind having the tier lists based on characters themselves when their viability changes with each MoC and soon PF rotation (with me finishing this PF with Sushang who is D tier here). I'd rather see team tierlists for specific rotations instead. Maybe a general tierlist too but using historical MoC/PF statistics instead of feelscrafting.

U never watch Himeko/Herta PF run before. Erudition lower the hp of the boss along with the minion they kill. They have absolutely no problem killing the boss after the mob is all dead. Selee DOES NOT lower the boss hp. She only can focus on the minion. So it look like she is one shot a boss with many hp left. Dude, when Erudition clear all mob. The boss has at most 20% hp left and one touch they died. Every showcase of Selee 40k point out there is full 4 cycles used and barely make it. Himeko and other Erudtion can easily do 40k within 0 to 2 cycles.
I feel weird about this tier list, and JY himself is not even my main concers, there is a lot of similar characters with different ranking. JL and DHIL were mentioned, JL have better average result with Blade, but it's the reason to give Blade better rank, I dont think it's enough for JL being better then DHIL. Pela do same spamming with Serval, even better actually, but Pela is lower for some reason. Hanya spd buffing in hypercarry close to Asta and she still gain some sp fpr sp heavy teams, but still lower then asta. Topaz being 2 tier above YQ lol.

Pela and Luocha should be in S for this PF buff, maybe when the next one comes out with a different buff they can be in A tier.
The new tier lists no longer takes the current turbulences into account. So it's more of a general tier list now (for the specific game modes).
Just as a note Topaz is actuallyt pretty useful for the same reasons as seele, she just gets so many turns since numby is able to do off turn damage, she works really well with like herta cuz numby can get an enemy below 50% and herta will do a fua, repeat and you clear the entire stage, so i think B tier is fair
Anything with fair recharge and aoe burst can arguably be high tier just bcs mei exist for dmg and that extra 30 toughness for those annoying 90 toughness mobs

It's wild that this is a real thing that a real person with a functioning frontal lobe said about a Honkai character. This is why we teach history in school, because when you don't know history, you're bound to repeat it. Mr. Pokke, please go watch a video about the evolution of the Honkai Impact 3rd Meta, because I think you'll see a shockingly similar pattern in the style of powercreep between the two titles. The next Quantum Main DPS 5* that releases, REGARDLESS of whether they're supposed to be AoE or Single target focused, will likely completely dumpster Seele at every equivalent level of investment. That's just how Hoyoverse designs their games.
If there's another character that boosts their SPD, advances forward on their own base skills, and finally doubles their dmg with a buffed state, she'll fall off but do they nerf characters? Nope. If there's a severe powercreep in this game, then 4* shouldn't be competing with 5* characters at all.

Following the trend of Honkai Impact 3rd, the game that many of the dev staff in Honkai Star Rail allegedly split off from, characters will simply have higher multipliers and more powerful kits as time goes on. The current trajectory of the game has already proven that it’s following this formula: the RNG nature of the Relic System is simply masking the sheer different between character’s potential. The older the unit is, the longer players have had to build and perfect them, and so their average performance has already risen to its resting state, while new units need time to rise to their potential, muddling the power gap between them for long enough that players don’t immediately notice the difference. This is different than Honkai Impact, where the majority of a character’s build could be done within a day, due to the majority of “gear” being additional items you pulled from the Gacha (far more expensive than HSR to build a character, tbh). Due to this, the impact on the meta was immediate and jarring, despite the differences sometimes being only a 5-10% increase. The absence of Leaderboards in HSR also masks the sheer difference in power between characters, with data needing to be extrapolated from mass data, rather than readily apparent when you see the new unit dominating every top spot of your Superstring Bracket.
Overall, if you want to define “Falling off” as when another identical unit who does the exact same thing as Seele, but better, comes out, than sure, that might not ever happen. But that’s not what “Falling off” means, man, and deep down, we all know that. Falling off means that another Quantum DPS comes out that dumpsters her damage, regardless of how their kit works, and thus kicks her out of her current niche of being (usually) the top Quantum DPS unit. It WILL happen, and when it does, it’ll be extremely abrupt, because that DPS will likely be able to just steal Seele’s busted Relics (Quantum set is absurdly powerful, one of the reasons she’s still considered strong), and deal 20-30% more damage than she could even WITH resurgence procs.
If you don’t believe me, look up “4 years of Honkai Impact 3rd’s Meta DPS compiled into a Bar Race” on RUclips, a video by Keebster, and you’ll see what I mean.

They assumed both side were equivalent, which is not true,
one side has 4 enemy line up with around 12+ range of enemies optimally
The other side has 5 enemies over 10 range
What it means, is that full AoE character (erudition) that had they weakness on the longer side, were slowed down due to the inability to take full advantage of their AoE and spread out their damage over 20% more range of enemies due to them being more spread out
This led to fire and thunder erudition having slower clear and Ice and Physical erudition faster clear
In reality, when taken into account, character like Herta do less damage and slower clear than Himeko on the 4 side
And Argenti gap with Jing Yuan isn't as big, which is further justification of him not being A
But instead those duck went ahead and stated "well we have score for both side so we can compare them side by side", even their justification drastically overlook the 5vs4 part for AoE

@@konn3424 She is actually. DDD + 4p wind set with 160-ish spd on her, use her ult on herself. This is basically a Bronya or Asta but drags everyone up every 1 to 2 turns (can be more stabile with Vonwaq or Penacony 2p) while she zips like crazy. Iirc she can move up to 6 times or more at cycle 0 with HH and RM sig lc teamup, and at minimum allows everyone to move min 2 times per cycle at 118 ish speed.
Some of the sole dps destructions units low cycle or full 40k clears were because DDD-self ult Ting tactic exists. That doesn't even count her ability to charge ults for others, therefore extra moves depending on DPS, in the first place. She deserves a tier on her own in PF tbh...

I played PF a lot. my characters doesnt have the greatest relics. I already tried a lot of tingyun(167spd) first because I thought the same thing that she is better because of DDD and energy from ult. But I cant get 40k. But when I tried bronya, It's just way easier. Just so much easier and that's bronya with her sig lc.
As a Seele Main myself, i loved that Seele section, and i consider myself having one of the best Seele too. I even got her E1 accidentally, cause i was pulling on her rerun banner with Topaz, cause i wanted the 4 stars on it but got a back to back after getting Topaz at like hard hard pity, close to 90. It was a sign, and my spirit of playing Seele never wavered since.
Also yeah, every time i see someone or something that is remotely a good teammate or buff for Seele, you know ill be pulling for them. Sparkle is gonna be mine, and not just because i love her design too!

The data shows that the average JY clear is 26370 points, the average serval clear is 26330 points. Thats almost the same. There is literally nothing, no data, no logic or anything that would suggest that serval should be a tier above lmao.

I struggled a little with Pure Fiction, but only because I kept trying to run MonoQuantum on one side.
In the end I managed 65.000 with this:
Node 1: Pela E6, Bronya, Ruan Mei, Jingliu
Node 2: Fu Xuan E1, Tingyun E6, Asta E6, Jing Yuan E1
I m still wondering if Himeko + Herta is really good. I tried before, but I guess they just aren't built enough yet.
Himeko: 2900 ATK, 125 SPD, CR 49.3 (>_>), CDMG 132, 90% BE (4pc Ashblazing, 2pc Glamoth) Peaceful Day S5
Herta: 2300 ATK, 143 SPD, CR 63, CDMG 127 (2pc Quantum, 2pc SPD, 2pc Glamoth) Breakfast S5
I might just be biased, but Jing Yuan is still better than Serval in Pure Fiction for me, maybe comparable. I do agree that the LL is slow, but then you don't have to wait on him. Give JY er rope/Tingyun and/or Bronya for more ults. Are people forgetting that his ult also deals damage, not just LL? LL is just there to clean up the rest. I got full stars in PF bc of him and Argenti. (Didn't even use er rope on him.) I would also not build a new unit like Serval if JY is already capable of doing what she can do.

How is phys break worse than fire? It has literally the same front damage and much higher dot damage. And there are clears with solo phys trailblazer for 30k+ score, so I would place him in B at least.
I haven’t gotten this point in the video, but maybe he meant in an aoe context as our only aoe break is argenti (somewhat low) and phys trailblazer (decent option) while for fire there’s hook, asta, himeko, fire tb. But I could be wrong
Fire break is better on mobs because the burn damage is flat (1 x level multiplier) while bleed from phys break is based on max hp

There is no world where il is above jingliu in pf. pure fiction is about dual dps anyways run il with another dps and your lacking sp. you get so much energy from killing the mobs with jingliu, you can definitely keep it a 100% uptime with ting and huo. You can run her with herta, argenti, blade, etc. Not to mention most enemies are weak to ice.
As a Jingyuan enjoyer, he can easily get 3 *, but he does underperform trying to 40k compared to other units. I agree with the rank, sadly. Maybe if we don't have a freaking giant robot hand stealing him to cancel our savior LL next time, he can climb the ranks. : /

I have E0S1 Jingyuan too. With 2.9k attack and 136 SPD, Bronya with 135 SPD, and Tingyun.
I had a hard time clearing Svarog with full stars.
Also, the very slow also LL always makes me uncomfortable.

(With LC meaning I only have about 132% cdmg in reality)
Skill issue I have a 80/169 EOSO spd boots Asta, HuoHuo and TingYun for easy 3 stars.

my issue with lighting lord particularly in cycle based content is you feel how tied to Lenny your damage really is, nothing is worse than having a 10 stack LL stuck at the top of -1 cycles

That's like the worst thing in MoC but in pure fiction I don't see it being that big of a problem. I only see it as an extra attack (possibly for the boss) cuz skill and ult kills everything anyway. If we can just ignore that the LL might hit one or two weak enemies around wave 1/3 and 2/3 it's actually not too bad cuz I just treat it as bonus dmg and it exist. For those who are running follow up set on him might see a more significant issue cuz his follow up needs to hit before the buffs stack

I think Jing Liu has a significant advantage over IL in pure fiction because of being a better carry in teams with 2 or 3 carry.
Why would someone use 1 destruction dps as the only hypercarry in pure fiction? It's doable but inefficient. IL consumes a lot of skill points which is a clear disadvantage.

AoE literally means AREA of effect. Seele is a character of The Hunt, which specializes for SINGLE TARGET, if it wasn't obvious enough with her kit. Resurgence only gives her the ability to hit multiple people but it's still SEQUENTIAL, not SIMULTANEOUS. It's so crazy how misguided and deluded people are.

It's not the worst possible matchup (ice is one elite plus 12 minions vs. quantum's one elite plus 6 minions) but it should be a good enough approximation.
