As a woman, i hate the "female boss diverse lesbian" they try to put in our throat. I don't recognize myself in any of those women. I hate the female boss mentality, those violent women who seemed to hate every man. Why ? What is wrong with you ?
Who is it for ? Not me. There's too many lesbians, too many fake feminist, too many cultures. We spend too much time explaining the struggles of those characters so we don't have time to enjoy the story we came here for. The MSheU is a curse. I'm so disappointed 😞 Where's the magic? About 20 years ago, McDonald's tried to push salads because those who knew better shamed them into it. It failed spectacularly. Not because people don't want salads. Because people that want salads don't want them from McDonalds and people that want McDonalds rather daily or from time to time, don't want salads.
Disney has to find the lesson in that.

    • @NoalFarstrider

@NoalFarstrider some of them were but not most of them especially the salad shakers. Make sure you are considering the ones from 20 years ago not the more recent crispy chicken salads and even then only if you didn't include fries with the burger in the comparison which the overwhelming majority of people are going to get because well it's McDonald's fries.
But that's not the point. The point was that McDonald's was shamed in to doing a thing their customers didn't want and it cost them money and focus away from their core competency.

Let’s be honest there hasn’t been any good movies for awhile. Nothing new just stupid bullshit. I was hoping Disney wld wake up, but after the latest Star Wars I have lost my faith in Disney and what new movies they come up with. I have hundreds of years of shows to choose from with those. Even better, I own them and have them on my local Plex so I don’t pay. I’ve managed to build my own streaming service, in my house, with all of the things I want.
This is why they want to stop physical sales. I haven’t watched anything new in at least 2 years, probably more like 3, maybe even 4. They said “if you don’t like it, don’t watch it, it’s not for you”. Ok. I can agree to those terms.

I would say it is possible to have live action superhero fatigue. So many loved superheroes, anti heroes and they have not been handled well especially within the last several years or so. Sure, some do way better than others. The Flash TV show. Decent first two seasons then definite major drop in viewers. Flash movie, didn't find a bunch of praise for it. Wonder Woman 1984 bombed. Multiple Disney plus marvel content and films deviating big time from the comics with new characters being introduced from what made them enjoyable for the most part in the comic book adaptation. Studios people swapping good stories, rushed effects, turning og, Avengers that are left into a bad joke at best in favor of a woke agenda. Disney putting out content too fast and making people feel like in the beginning of phase 4 like they need to watch Disney plus marvel shows in order to understand the films going forward. At least with comic books they can read them anytime when they are available. When it was three marvel films tops a year viewers had to wait maybe two to closer to 9 months for the next film. They had more time to see it, speculate, make predictions of what is going to happen in the film or what will happen in the next one. With live marvel content almost every month it is not as special. It be like someone throwing a party and inviting the neighbors claiming it is going to be the best party they ever went to only to find out they are throwing a big party every month or every other month that is no different than the last one.

@@keithpace9870 I have to disagree, as the reasons you listed that contribute to superhero fatigue are a direct result of bad writing, the primary argument against the existence of superhero fatigue. The comic book industry has been going for the greater part of a century, and has maintained untold numbers of lifelong fans until the 90’s, when it stopped treating its characters as characters, but rather props with which to propel The Message. Because of this, the once hugely diverse and thoughtfully written world of comics that once spanned dozens of genres became an ideological, monolithic genre, the sole purpose of which to tout left-wing radical politics. In short, the genre-spanning industry containing decades-old, beloved characters was reduced to one genre full of poorly written, hated characters. What happened to comics wasn’t fatigue; comic books could tell all sorts of stories using superheroes as their main theme, but were creative enough to use the superheroes like just about any other singular characters in any other story-telling medium and genre to create genre-defying, awesome stories with a slight twist on the abilities of the characters. The same should be said about movies. There’s enough material to make all kinds of cinematic and television media with, but it’s the fault of bad writing and bad planning that has led the majority of such productions to be so monotonous in style. “Superhero movie” shouldn’t mean any one style, only because of bad writing does it.

It was praised by people who hated the source material, and now, shocker, they stopped supporting these products because they hated them from the outset.

"recognised that it's audience was the hundreds of millions of people, almost half of them women......
Just because half your audience is female - it doesn't automatically follow that's where half the value in your customer base lies. I'd put £100 on the fact that most of the tickets attributed to 'female audience members' were in fact paid for by men (boyfriends, husbands, fathers etc).
What they failed to recognise was:
    1. Most of those women/girls are probably watching the MCU movies only because they go along with their boyfriends, husbands and fathers. My wife is a big MCU fan (she cried like a baby when Stark died), but only because I took her along with me to see all of the movies and I purchased all of the movies on home media. She grew to love the MCU through my love of it. She has neither the motivation or inclination to keep up with the MCU of her own volition and never watches them on her own. She's not even aware that new MCU movies are coming out unless I tell her or show her the trailers (which I have stopped doing). As far as my wife is concerned, the MCU basically ended with Endgame.
    2. Most of these women want to see buff men with their shirts off. Women don't like all female ensemble cast action/scifi movies any more than men do. Just about every all female ensemble cast action/scifi movie has bombed or done much worse than it's male/mixed gender predecessor movie. Even outside the action/scifi genre - all female ensemble movies just don't pull in big numbers. Bridemaids for example is one of the highest grossing all female ensemble cast movie I could find, and even that only took just over $300m at the global box office.
    3. Women don't buy merchandise. Much of the value in these franchises sits with the sale of merchandise after the fact, and frankly, most women don't go out and buy lego kits, posters, pop figures, action figures, Iron Man pyjamas etc.

      @eljay5009 6 месяцев назад +4

@@Jimoshi1 The other problem is - you shouldn't risk losing the customers you have to chase the customers you want. If Disney/Marvel wanted to attract more female or 'diverse' viewers - they could have gone about it in a way that didn't marginalise or insult the large customer base they already had.
If you do choose to go down the route of risking your existing customer base - you have to be damn sure that the customer base you are chasing is larger, and will engage to make up for the customers you'll inevitably lose.
It looks like Disney/Marvel (and Bud Light) got it wrong.

It’s like a virus that makes you destroy yourself and once it’s drained you to the point of death, it finds a healthy host. We do Not care about the politics! We want to watch aliens fight gods and sorcerers.. we all became fans because of the stories. Actual talented people created these things a long time ago, you felt the love the ahthors had on every page. Stop destroying things these ACTUALLY TALENTED people did by using them as a vehicle for your ridiculous politics. Make your own shit that only you and the people who agree with you will watch and they will forever echo in your own chamber.
