Antt Kush that is a different system but I think it’s better than this because it makes more water just hook it up to solar panels. It is basically a solar powered dehumidifier.
Most people don't understand that the ideas that are working now have been around for so long . Marconi used patents that belong to Nikola Tesla. Marconi gets novel prize for invention of the radio using Nikolas patents lol. But thank God Nikola was recognize at the end. People need to investigate ,especially when it comes to technology so many people are using patents that belong to others. These guys are running on ideas that have been around and am sure most of their patents they are using belongs to other guys. Even in a survival class they'll teach you on how to collect water from condensation..where did they learn that from??
Anyway God bless them for bring the ideas back to life again. The original owners would be very pleased its helping the planet and humanity.

@Elaine: Atmospheric water generators (dehumidifiers with a filtering system) have been around for decades. Moses West didn't invent them and they consume huge amounts of energy.

Drinking water is essential to life. Using it for anything else is secondary.
We need to convert to a Hydrogen transportation economy to use the ocean which is eternal to create fuel and fresh water at the same time.
Sir that will never work because it will interfere with the billions and billions of dollars in earnings of the oil mafia,ofcourse hydrogen would be cheaper and far better for the environment as the bi product of hydrogen ignition is oxygen but like I mentioned the government's of the world will never allow it because they are in the pockets of the oil mafia

i would like to set this up at my house. Give dad some destilled water and cleaner water for moms tea pot. Would save aton of plastic and filters.

That is a great concern. Mine is what about contaminates in the air? Also who brought this to bear? There are several people claiming it.

Cold air compresses water out of the air in any environment, whether there's a human to try to name it after himself or not. Just like drawing water from a river, there may be contaminants. Shall we rather die of thirst, or invent some kind of.. filter? LOL... I love people who would try to name air compression after themselves. Pathetic ego games

Nothing new, I have an EcoloBlue in my kitchen for the last 5 years and it makes water from the air, up to 5 gallons a day...

Each panel produced "about" 20 16oz bottles a day, or "about" 2.5 gallons a day. "About" = nearly 2.5 gals to less than nothing a day. $4k each panel BUT what about upkeep and reliability? Do these panels ever wear out? How often would I need to make repairs or replacement? Are there moving parts, replacement parts, and fees? So many questions. I like the concept of this: who wouldn't.
I have read from 4 websites including business insider that say that one panel produces 5 liters per day ………………………………………………………………...that's 10 16 oz bottles a day
The units have a battery that is charged by the solar panel. This runs the fan to bring air into the unit.
Zero Mass does not mention these details. So, a spare fan, battery, air filter, and calcium block are all part of the equation.
In case of a societal breakdown, I would recommend having spare parts of each of these.
Fan, battery are top of my list.
Golly. What if you live in a remote desert? The fans dies on you. Now what? FedEx to Darwin Australia?
Better have the backup parts before something goes wrong.
Having the parts ready is just prudent, wise, and smart.

For 1000.00 on ebay you can buy a dehumidifier that does 29 gallons a day and just filter it. Way cheaper.

Should you ad minerals and salt to that water system?
The unit comes with a calcium/magnesium block to add minerals, flavor, and proper Ph levels.
For $4,500 it should even prepare dinner and do the dishes!

I haven't seen any evidence that these devices will take enough water out of the air to make it dryer than it was before
