    Thanks for posting this, especially posing that last question. Personally, I really struggle with forcing myself to go slow… I know the importance of easy running is true, just hate that it is.

      More so than slowing down, I think emphasizing the purpose of each day can help motivate you to be present and make conscious decisions as to how hard you’re pushing yourself on a day-to-day basis.
      There’s a place for every type of running in a plan, and putting emphasis on what your body needs TODAY, and not getting greedy might help you do what is required to improve.
