Awesome man, we moved from the South Bay to Arizona. Jay is a good guy! What’s your goal at CIM?
Going for sub 3. I’ve been running my marathon pace workouts and long runs at 6:45 so I’m feeling good about my chances. But anything can happen on race day. PR is 3:13 at Big Sur this year. First marathon was 3:55, five years ago. This will be my 4th marathon.

Will be lower
I do a ultra trail of 58k and 1400 meters of elevation tomorrow, after my marathon 2 weeks ago. But I don't recommend this to others. I did recover well after the marathon, did 30k of easy running in the week after.
Depending on the intensity, lifetime miles, and your own recovery practice I think that’s pretty fair! I wouldn’t be able to do it though 😂
Really didnt like this shoe. It fits horribly. The uppers material is like kevlar, very ungiving, which contributes a lot to it pressing my toes like bracers. I think it looks very clownlike, the amount of foam is insane. In my other shoes my socks are pretty much dry after running, in these my socks were soaked, i feel the breathability is just not there. Glad you seem to like them though, thanks for the video.

Great job! Just a suggestion : You can start adjusting to the destination time a couple of days ahead. If you can, start to wake up an hour earlier each day than usual before you leave town. In 4 days leading up to the trip, you can cut jetlag in half. (aka, if you wake up at 7am normally, wake up at 6am, 5am, 4am, 3am )

Very nice, congrats! I have yet to run Berlin, but know the corrals can be messy. How early should you aim to get in them?
Thank you! My experience was that 15 min from race start was very messy and I got stuck on the fringes. Probably 20-25 min is safe depending on how deep you want/need to get!

I am following so many running channels and yours is very good digestion of all topics: your training / providing good running times, nutrition / I also had bowel problems due to antibiotics and simple sugar, testing shoes / Asics Superblast are realy the best in terms of weight - stability - price in connection to duration, scenery / it is nice to watch nature while people running.. Just keep doing what you doing and you will gain traction!💪
