I feel like this one should have been "Metalhead" or a variation thereof. That said, the rotating belt buckle and interchangeable bandanas is a very clever gimmick indeed.
So he retooled this transformer (an autobot? He's got no badge!) from cybertron just like Cobra retooled Megatron into tank in gi joe/transformers g1 continuity. That's his story? That's why he's got a turtle head and all ninja stuff and turtle logo on belt? Only this story make sense because there'no way any transformer from cybertron would have a turtle head and all the ninja stuff.
I used to beat the ninja turtles arcade game without losing at all, skipping classes like crazy back then, and if any of the others played it was piece of cake. I was Donatello… memories!!!
Really impressed how much larger this came out. Feels more in line with a modern Leader than a Voyager class like Ironhide/Ratchet. Detail/accuracy is spot on and the budget went as far as to include very nicely painted/pinned wheels. Really clever how you can swap between all four turtles, with the included weapons/masks/belt gimmick. Definitely the best Collaborative effort yet. Also props to the blister packaging. A very cool throwback to the original/current figures.
Definitely one of th e best crossover Transformers action figures!!!!!! Dude is perfect!!!!!!!! If Hasbro ever makes an IDW styled mainline Drift, his two smaller swords should be a reuse of the ones here.
I love the Ecto-1 Ghostbusters crossover. It brought me back to play and collect Transformers since I had some Transformers in my childhood. I'm a hige TMNT and Transformers fan, so I'm looking forward to get this. It seems to be a banger.
I'm passing on this one because it doesn't do it for me. I hope you'll get the Heatboys transforming Ninja Turtles for comparison. A comparison video would be cool. Leo transforms into the van and Donatello transforms into a helicopter. We don't have info on the other two members yet.
When I was a kid I used to imagine the Turtles flying around in the Star Wars Transformers. 😂 That would be my ultimate crossover. Very excited for this.

Anyone else thinking Galvatron could be repurposed not only into shredder, but also the drill tank (actually called a transport module I think?) That would be a pretty slick reuse of a mold that was never going to get a lot of mileage. Awesome video review and I’m both a Transformers and TMNT fan since I was a kid and I used to have the original Turtle Van toy as a kid and I spend hours playing with it and now I can have my very own Transformers/TMNT crossover figure to add to my collection and if we ever do get another crossover again I hope we’ll get one of Shredder that transforms into a transport module based off the original cartoon and I’ll look forward to getting Party Wallop later this summer.

Party Wallop is awesome because he can tap into the power of each turtle in order to use their weapon, at least that’s how I like to imagine his gimmick if he ever appear in the comic. Otherwise PW’s original weapon is a shield.
Stupid question: so the bandanas and the Bo staff and Mikey’s nunchucks can remain in the shell and armor respectively while in vehicle mode? Also, where do Leo’s katana’s and Ralph’s sai’s store in robot mode? I LOVE how all the accessories store inside him! TURTLE POWER!!!

As much as I love how this thing looks, a part of me hoped that this was originally meant to be a big Cybertronian version of Metalhead. Although I can definitely see this mold being repainted to look like Metalhead.

Both transformations look radical dude. One area i think was a missed opportunity is doing one turtle for one vehicle mode. Think they could have continued this mash up with two turtles combining to be the turtle blimp and one being the rocket packed skate board. All in all this is definitely going to be sitting on my shelf in leonardo mode. Great review
I managed to get this discounted on Target so it cost me $31.86 which feels like a steal. This is the only Transformer I've ever owned and it's pretty bad ass. I had put it together last night but it felt like 1 or 2 things weren't quite where they should be. Watched this and now it's perfect, thanks!
I think this mold would turn into a great retool into banzaitron! I would live to see it upsized to leader class to allow for more/better weapons. All the weapon storage would make it possible for it to retooled as an animated scourge too
Honestly as a transformers I would have said this figure is a bad idea, but with how much pose-ability, engineering, and references to TMNT that this thing has, I still think this is a bad idea but somehow that bad idea was greatly and pristinely executed with great precision.
Looking forward to this one. Very curious to see how the Mega Construct Turtles figures scale with this. Gigawatt, Ecto-Tron, and Party Whallop are all home runs to me. I don’t know what crossover I want to see next. Iconic vehicles like A-Team can, KITT, General Lee, and Mystery Machine could make cool bots. Provably a Mr. T bot Barraculus would be the best. KI-2000 may be a cool bot from KITT too. I’m also digging the GI Joe Collaboration with the 1:18th vehicles. Soundwave is awesome. Megatron and Bumblebee are cool too.

I'm torn. On one hand, I want it. On the other, I can't help but think the price of three of these = Heat Boys transforming Leonardo which looks unbelievably good.
It's a much better crossover than we got with the X men and Top Gun, but it's also a tad too big in vehicle mode. It's supposed to be a van but from the front it's bigger than Primes truck cab. I almost wish they had retooled Rise of the Beasts Wheeljack, but if they did I don't know if the figure would have turned out so nice. In my mind, this is an Autobot that disguised itself as the Party Wagon and studied the Turtles' moves and can change his combat capabilities on the fly, so his head deploys a different colored bandana, his belt buckle changes and he swaps weapons depending on how he fights.
I think if it were a deluxe class maybe it would’ve been a little too small? Personally I quite like the scale. I’m not sure if they’d been able to pull it off as a deluxe class
This has so many gimmicks/references and I love them all but I’m not the biggest tmnt fan so I don’t think it would really fit anywhere in my collection. I think I’ll have to pass on this one😢
