Facts! I wish I can edit better lol
I think it's important to remember that MANY car reviewers reviewed the Fisker Ocean and for the most parts they ALL gave it a pass. It wasn't until MKBHD - a software/electronics reviewer DREW FIRST BLOOD that everyone else was emboldened to chime in and attack. Like sharks drawn to the smell of blood.
I drove the Ocean in January shortly after buying my 2024 Cadillac Lyriq.
There were glaring omissions but nothing I felt was "deal breaking" or "dangerous".
No ventilated seats.
No massage seats.
No autonomous driving.
A display that can only work in portrait mode.
I didn't find the car as bad as MKBHD found it and I still don't feel it's "that bad".
Where Fisker screwed up was focusing on expensive small-ish sports cars rather than building an affordable Model Y competitor.
I might make a review
Would you say they should have launched in Europe where compact cars are the norm?
@@LuckyLopez777do it!!
How you liking the lyriq?
@@vladimus974912 Dealerships in Europe.
I watched MMR drop by a grand a day earlier this month. My wholesaler lost 11k on it.
Wow
Thought of you last night, Lucky I was woken up at midnight by my neighbors car getting repoed. Dude just yanked it out the driveway, parking pawl grinding until it caught, then the wheels howling all the way down the road. It's funny--he doesn't work, but always has money to smoke weed all day and to go out partying every weekend. It was a Chevy he bought new in '21 IIRC.
Oooh lol. Should have filmed it
@@LuckyLopez777 What makes you think I didn't? 🤣 I missed the first half of it getting out of bed though. From the time the guy backed up to the the car until the time it was gone was less than 2 minutes!
We need to start looking at EV as electronic devices. If you need to be the first one to purchase you’re going to pay top dollar. Vehicles are not investments. That’s why I waited to buy my Model Y and got a great deal from their inventory. I’m not Tesla Fan boy, I’m just fed up with paying high gas prices in Los Angeles.
I also went through the inventory and got a good deal
I am a fanboy of electronics in general but I don’t buy things just to have. I’m buying an EV because I drive a lot and would save a lot a months. That’s why I’m also searching for a Tesla still grandfathered into free super charging as wells
With all this new car bullshit going on no one will ever convince me to sell my 2015 Toyota Camry… I will drive that car for 70 years until I die
And then it's turns into a classic and value goes up. You can't lose.
Best decision ever
Much safer than any BYD.

You know who else has outsourced pretty much everything? Boeing
Scary 😱
I have a sneaky suspicion he "purchased" subs
Boeing employee here: I only fly airbus. ONLY.
I also bought $5k in stock.😢 my buddy kept telling me no, he said 3 years ago electric cars are boo boo. He was right.
Too many things can go wrong in an electric car. Be cool if they made something a little more analog instead of everything running off a computer.
Lucky you need to change your shock look pic on your thumbnail. Reminds me of the inflatable sex dolls from the 70's
Was thinking the exact same thing. Dude needs to close that mouth. Looks like he's about to commit a heinous act.
This car market has become a joke .
It's a bunch of snake oil sales. I wouldn't buy anything 2017 or newer.
My 2024 Cadillac Lyric Sport 3 is paid off. I received a $11,500 discount off my MSRP. I plan to keep it for six years regardless of the depreciation rate. I have a Level 2 charger installed in my garage. It is my daily driver. Love it!
DARN! I just bought one. I was watching CNN and they said they were awesome cars. Oh well, I need to start watching your channel before I watch the network news. My bad.
Just make sure you get you’re 9th jab be safe
@judyroth-tf9df You’re only on your ninth? Amateur.
I checked Fisker's inventory here in NYC. The inventory is ALL SOLD OUT. They had dropped the Fisker Ocean Extreme to under $37,000 (from $63,000) .
Ultimately, I really hope someone buys Fisker and upkeeps their cars because software updates are the one thing that risk-buyers can't deal with.
Yeah. They are pump and dumping
I hope they don't update.
People need to learn early.
Those painful lessons will save them later in life.
A friend bought an ev last year it was around 60k he paid 20k off it he went to change back to an ice vehicle dealers were offering 15k to 20k on trade he still owes 40k on it so he has to throw out another 20k to change vehicles some dealers wouldn't offer anything it's a polestar
Single people driving 2.5 ton vehicles.. . .Now a pothole repair robot!
I think you're not quite selling it properly, Fisker has failed. They are done. It's all over except auctioning the assets. further, Rivian is not that much farther behind. They are running through their cash reserves at an unbelievably rapid rate. They will be in the same situation in the not very distant future.
I think last minute someone may buy them. If they have any tech what’s worth something
@@LuckyLopez777 somebody may buy the assets out of bankruptcy, which will leave existing owners with nothing. I admire your wishful thinking though
@@kevinbarry71 Exactly! No one is buying them until the fat lady sings. After BK, the assets, whatever they are, will be had for peanuts.
Lucid next.
Their turn is coming
Sucks for rivian because after driving one i was blown away with how much i enjoyed driving it and the looks of it. Its just too damn expensive
Lots of deals on EVs. I’m sure you can get a smoken deal on a rivian
@@LuckyLopez777 I'm more interested in a Mazda 😅 I'm a simple man who still drives a 2000 crv because I love it. But I also know Vegas summers are brutal and something newer and reliable like a Mazda 3 is something I'm gonna look at
@Bankaimg Hertz is dumping a bunch of Bolts in the $20k range. No haggling or dealer games. Might be worth checking out. To max battery longevity on the Bolt, set maximum charging to 80%, maybe going higher on long trips. Maybe 90
@Bankaimg That said, who says the CRV will become unreliable, even in the Nevada heat?
@@EMichaelBall it's still reliable, we also have a 2010 Altima that I'm more worried about. Really like the Mazda cx50 but I refuse to have a payment over 550-600..so with that I think I can get a Mazda 3
Has there been a successful new auto manufacturer in the US in the past 50 years other than Tesla? People get so infatuated and side-tracked by the tech, and they forget that auto manufacturing is an incredibly expensive and competitive industry.
And Tesla almost failed during their Fremont factory ramp-up in 2017-18.
Tesla wasn't profitable til China manufacturing began, what Americans complain about when other companies do it.
What do you think about Lucid? They have great deals on lease
I like or love it when they drop the prices..
Thank you!
I’m planning on going to NIADA this June, any recommendations for a place to stay at? Looking for something on the cheaper side. Thanks.
Hi Lucky! Thanks for this video about the Fisker! Can you do a video about the VinFast, as well? Thank you.
I gotta say the price dropping is a little different between Tesla and Fisker in my opinion. Tesla was supply and demand and cheaper manufacturing over time while Fisker was just overpriced from the start and now trying to keep their heads above water before going bankrupt. I bet Fisker was taking a massive loss per car even at the high prices.
Both lowered prices to increase sales
Everyone thought they could be Tesla, lol
@@aldoa337King of recalls..? LoL
Still profitable though. Besides, media heavily focus on Tesla recalls, most of them applied remotely as software updates, and play dumb on other manufacturers who pay for publicity.
I bought one and it's great. Long range, easy to charge, no problem scheduling maintenance....
Wait, I own a Tesla 😂. No problem, no worries
Vertical integration is what makes Tesla and BYD profitable. BYD especially is very good at this since they make their own batteries obviously but also a lot of their parts which why legacy OEMs can't replicate the profit margins since they outsource most of their parts
Well said
Who wants a disposable vehicle? Asked another way, how many years after a new phone comes to market is it still supported? 5 years?

Very true
Great update Lucky! What EV do you think is the best deal? Thanks Ray
Audi E tron GT. 60 % off a used one
Tesla must've dropped prices for a good reason. I assumed it's because byd's breathing down their necks.
Sales slowed down. So lowering prices
Tesla overstock.. major media have been attacking the EV industry constantly in 2024 to lower stock prices before Summer Surge... if no recession....stock market is organized crime.
Do a review on the 2024 Cadillac lyriq 🙏
I remember when Fisker got a $2 billion bailout from us on their first car the Karma and what a piece of junk that turned out to be.
Drove it today; liked it. My car had good regen braking, I'd been used to 1 foot driving since I had a BMW i3. Like the i3, the brakes go on when you lift your foot off the loud pedal. The car is ludicrously fast and the econ mode is also very quick. The economics if the company tanks is my problem with it.
I have a chance to get it for 18,000 $ tomorrow, AWD 2k miles, I have a question, does the warranty work, I am in Utah, should I do it
Yeah I was one of the Tesla owners who got screwed. Paid $40k for a used M3P, 4 months later it was worth $30k. Not to mention the money I put into it.
I actually bought a White with black interior six speed manual Volkswagen Passat diesel SE. What a great car and I cried when I turned it in, 650 miles per tank and a blast to drive! Super bummer!
They were solid cars. Just bad epa data
Interesting perspective. Kim Java kinda just released a video saying the opposite about the Fisker update and how the car is driving. I wish we could drive one to see for ourselves but I don't see how they get out of this one
That’s why I love youtube. Lots of info from different perspectives
I seen that car yesterday on 215 heading towards Henderson
Lucky must of taken a major hit % investing in Fisker stock from few years ago !!!
I lost like $5k 💸
How's that go, loose $500 on every item we sell, no worries, we'll make up with volume! Yeah, about that...
Well

EV resale market is great for people who like buying used and great value. Not feeling sorry for those who could afford to spend 150-200k for a new car. Their loss is our gain 🤷♂️
Like I needed convincing?
Didn't fisker fail years ago? Did someone else buy them?
I would be tempted with the right deal on a Ford Lightning.
They are getting cheaper every week. They are just piling up at ford dealers
@@LuckyLopez777 I am very patient.
@@LuckyLopez777 I've seen sticker prices around $64k this past week.
The coverage on EV depreciation got me thinking we’re bottoming on valuations. It’s so breathless like when oil hit $-30 per barrel a few years back. One big pump in gas prices, and you’ll see a rush to fuel sippers, etc. like in 2008.
Gm right there wait to buy
Tesla and BYD profitable from " slave china labor " and the competition in China may end Tesla profitability, but massive layoffs at Tesla may save them. Fisker has better build quality from Magna, no Recalls and award winning design. Fisker needed a secondary offering when stock price was above $ 6 but they didn't, why is the question. FSRN up 165 % month and holds the 1st calendar year EV production record of over 10,000 Oceans, beating 2,600 model Y's . Thumbs up video/ comments. Thanks.
I bought fisker stock as well….. sad
Done watching ❤
Buy put options on the stock.
I'm getting a Haval
Who would have thought buying a Fisker Electric Vehicle would be a bad investment ? Oh wait, I forgot to plug my Mach E in …..😅
There are some good deals on used ID4 right now and take the tax credit so makes the gamble a bit easier to manage
Here in the DC area, I recently checked 2022 ID4’s and only found two under $25k, both at the same dealership. Given how typical dealerships operate, I’m not sure they’d keep it under $25k.
Da fug is a Fisker Ocean??!!😂😂😂😂LMAO!!!!😂😂😂😂😂
Fisker went broke 2012 with a $520 million DOE funding . Never opened the old Gm boxwood factory to make promised jobs . Disappeared with the money
This car will probably be a buying opportunity once they go bankrupt... the cars will probably drop another 80%... the only problem will be getting spare parts.
Buy 2. One to drive, one to strip for parts.
You will drowned if you get into that Ocean.
No car I will ever drive will need a "software update" !!!
4:26 you hate the tactic when a manufacturer drops prices, whether it be due to economies of scale or purely to stay afloat? That’s competition for you and applies to literally every industry. Affordability is important to new customers. A company that can pivot their pricing strategy to keep their company is better than a company that goes bankrupt and can’t provide any support to any of their customers
What do you expect EV manufacturers to do if they are not selling cars ? They don't have a choice not to lower prices
Thumbnail was a bit fruity ngl
You can probably buy one for $20k, but there's a VERY good chance it could be an un-fixable paperweight in a week.
Invest in cobalt mining! That's the cheaper money maker for now!
LFP batteries don’t have cobalt.
The Fisker Ocean had the potential to be a good Model Y competitor. It was large, spacious and had a lot of cool features like the solar roof.
It's not fair to compare it to the Karma because the Karma was almost completely impractical. It had Chevy Volt-tech. A gas generator onboard for the electric motors. The future is absolutely ELECTRIC VEHICLES as Hydrogen is too problematic and has no infrastructure.
But when I saw Fisker building the Revero, that's when I realized they hadn't learned from their past mistakes - or at least they were copying Tesla's moves.
Without government backing, most of these companies can't compete with legacy automakers.
I'd buy a Mercedes EQE or BMW ix long before I'd buy a Tesla, Lucid or Fisker.
Any company can go bankrupt and out of business but the likelihood of that happening is FAR LOWER with the Big 3 Germans or even the Big 3 Americans.
YES: a car can be an investment.
Tesla is profitable and has zero debt. They’re able to survive a downturn. Fisker and Rivian? Ehhhhhh…
I thought they went bankrupt after their hybrid. It was an interesting way of doing a hybrid. You don't really see electric transmission hybrids like that outside of 18 wheelers and heavier.(Although you probably should)
Is this the people who bought the remnants of the last company or the founder? If it's the founder, there are so many more questions.
Edit: I ended up looking it up, It's the founder.
Whats Fisker?

You a used car 😂😂😂😂

everyone should be a fisker.
Fisker make a great lawn ornament, boat anchor or homeless shelter.

😁👍
Right Dropping the Values like this makes them Look Trashy, Or at the least like someone doesn't have a clue how to run a Company, You and I both know it cost more than this to build them.
Facts!
You can get 0% on a new EV even if that used one is $10,000 cheaper if you’re taking a 7% interest rate you’re having a used car that’s gonna depreciate even faster and harder for maybe $20 cheaper than it would be to buy a brand new one that’s stupid yeah if you’re making a purchase buying a used, one is the smartest route but the American can’t buy a $40,000 car cash
Never watch a video with an open mouth thumbnail
Ppl are just tired of the same old cramp interior/ toyota. Always needing a part replaced/ gm. Shrinking model size/ honda.outdated design/ ford products for 65k plus msrp. Plus 7% interest rate . Don't forget your 4 year trade is worthless yet the same model on the lot with more Mike's is still valued higher then your trade.
I like how MKB calls the CT "Possibly Iconic", when it has a pedal that falls off and gets stuck, loses steering, can fail if you dont put it in "carwash mode" and has light rust. But somehow the Fisker is "The worst car he ever reviewed".
Maybe its just me, but I dont like the way his video titles slams smaller companies launch products(Ai Pin), but puts mittens on for Apple(Vision pro, Mac wheels) and Tesla, who SHOULD have more polished products.
I like the way the Fisker Ocean looks, but yeah wouldnt buy because the company may not be there in the future.
Shat good is a tax credit on a vehicle that loaes 50% of its value before you even get to claim the credit!!! 😅😅😅😅
The media coverage is so overwhelming like it was when oil went negative. Feels like a bottom, not a bottomless pit.
Canoo EV and Fisker Ocean Ev are going out of business.
I had to smirk when I read the name "Ocean". Oh yes! When I read that name, I instantly picture 250 Fisker Oceans flying off a cliff and into the brink below. This technology is played out and done. Have a nice day.
A good look at the Karma's problems will tell you more than enough about the Ocean
If people are mad about Tesla lowering their price they made a poor life choice. If you look at a car as an investment then you’re wrong. Just saying. Buy it, enjoy it then whatever happens after that is what it is. Same thing is happening with the Demon 170 right now. People are pissed cause they wanted to flip them and now they’re realizing that those ADMs were not worth it.
I Watch the channel all the time and a fan! But, saying that car manufacturers dropping prices is a bad thing is ridiculous. This is capitalism and also with stagnant wages since like 1970, we consumers need every price drop that exists. We don’t care about existing owners of these cars losing value.
I would never buy a ev
lol, my Ultra was delivered Saturday morning. Love the haters after Marquez Clownlee decided to put out that horrendous car review. This car is so much better than Tesla. Magna is the reason. Software gets straightened out. People bashed Tesla early on in 2018. They still do. I test drove a model Y before making my decision and knew instantly as soon as I test drove the ocean that this isn’t an even questionable decision. I’m a gambler by nature, so I’ll take my chances.
Dude, Marques failed miserably on the second review. Apparently he’s too lazy (unless its tesla) to read the owners manual before actually driving the car. 50% of his complaints instantly would disappear if he just put his friggin seatbelt on. He’s a paid shill and horrible auto reviewer. Let him stick with tech devices and leave auto reviews to those who aren’t too busy to do a little homework.
First, the reason Fisker didn’t get more money together and make or buy their own factory was because Henrik Fisker has an extremely negative reputation in the VC and financial industry. Second, Henrik Fisker is dumb and thinks outsourcing everything is a great idea, even though it didn’t work with his fist company either.
As for Tesla lowering prices: Tesla wants to keep production steady to avoid having oversupply, cutting orders, then having a lack of supply like other automakers have had recently. Also, the lower Tesla can drive prices, the larger the pool of people who can buy one. Fisker, on the other hand is just trying desperately to offload inventory before they go broke with thousands of cars that cannot be sold and no one wants to store somewhere…
Dont buy something that costs 10s of thousands of dollars if it will need maintenance but there won't be any place to maintain it.

Toast !
Yes!!!!!!!!
Henry Ford once said, "why build cars that no one can buy?" He repeatedly lowered the price of his model t. You even talk about the affordability crisis, then you say they shouldn't lower prices. I guess retirees don't deserve an affordable car and should scrimp on food, heat and medicine so the car companies and their overpaid union workers can get fat and stay that way. I'm 70 and worked as a heavy equipment mechanic in my younger years. Now I'm watching a big financial disaster in the making as people stretch their finances to buy cars that will need expensive repairs before they are paid for. The point will be reached where most people's credit is so damaged that they won't be able to even think of owning a car. All that will be needed is a few custom builders to service the rich. Think of all the people who will lose their livelihood because they got greedy. I've seen people price themselves out of a job, most of my life. The ones who survived the most, were not greedy and had good reputations. Unlike most in the car sales and service business. Example, 2008, ball joint quote, 1999 S 10 2wd, $275+ then got a Moog replacement installed around the corner at a much better equipped repair shop, for $130. WTF was that quote all about? 200%+ quote?
Who in their right mind buys a fisker???
Clapping my hands when Tesla opted to lower the prices, competition hasn't been able to recover heck there on life support 😆

Hearing about fisker and tesla owners getting hit with price cuts is so funny hahaha losers (my family has a pre-price cut '22 Model X LR and an original
MSRP Fisker Ocean One in the driveway, probably losing $5 a minute just sitting there)
Fisker dropping their prices upset their whole fanbase that purchased them, that being said 4 people were upset.
Super glad the great EV SCAM is officially over! Only about 20% of current EV owners will buy another that says 80% though the experience sucked that bad. Buyer beware
Here is the main problem with EVs is that dealing with a product that is driven by a battery. A very expensive part to replace if it goes bad. It is just too risky to buy a used EV considering it does not save money.
I’m going to do another video comparing a new Tesla compared to a Toyota Corolla what it cost with insurance electric gas and everything else last time I did this the Corolla beat the Tesla by like $7000
Batteries on EVs like Tesla are warranted for eight years. Doesn't save money? My solar system charges my Tesla and Rivian. I drive for free locally which is 90% of my driving. Perhaps you get free gasoline and tune-ups where you live.
My fisker literally costs me $7-$9 to charge from 25% to near 90% (310 miles SOC range listed) . To get 225 miles of range in a car that gets 30 mpg would cost near $40 here on the west coast. Yeah, my fisker does not save me any money at all🙄
RWD Model 3’s use an LFP design that is around $8,000 to replace with labor. As LFP batteries keep getting cheaper, it’ll get cheaper to buy the battery.
People lose their lives at gas stations everyday in America. Emissions..Oil change . Tune-up...Gas / Transmission etc. They save plenty including with home charging nightly.
I had never before heard of the vehicle until this video. Likely just one part of their problems...
Another paid review to bash Fisker. HF is a master designer maynot be good CEO. Fisker is a solid vehicle, every car has some problems when it landed. Upcoming versions will be great. See the Car design and quality, price. Its a super hit !!!
Ridiculous
can i ask you a question as to why car dealerships copyright their repair manual. i guess we know why but, more so, why does society allow this in general up to this point?
so copyrighting of dealership repair manuals there to be like pretty much violations of antitrust law regarding intellectual property. it is anticompetitive practice, generally the customers are left with no options on certain repairs the only shops that can do specific repairs is the car dealerships due to the copyrighting of the repair manuals. what this does is cause the dealerships to charge whatever price they want and customers are left with no options and so this also inhibits job growth, inhibits competition, and inhibit lower prices, and faster wait times, if more mechanics can do those repairs this would aleviate lines at repair shops. also people would be able to do their own repairs more often and save money. etc.
so why hasn't there been anything done about this yet? why has no one filed complaints to the FTC yet?
it would be enormously good for the economy to promote competition and lower prices by simply fighting copyrighting as a method to be anticompetitive. more jobs, lower prices, lower lines at repair shops. it would unkink a sector of the market that desperately needs unkinked. currently car dealerships have no incentive to run their businesses efficiently they'll just end up price gouging customers to make up for it.
I think there is a limit for 5yrs. On that. After that it cost millions for parts. Diagrams ect
@LuckyLopez777 i owned a hyundai accent that was 10 years old, and i just needed to get door latch linkage fixed. not a super expensive repair, requires just replacing the doorlatch fixture and removing the inner panel, but i couldn't do the repair without the manual, and no local mechanics could fix it, my only option was/is car dealerships and they wanted like 500 bucks just to fix a doorlatch. i ask them to sell me the repair manual they said it's copyrighted we can't allow anyone to see it. or buy it.
btw i live in california big metro area. ontario california, there is mechanics for miles all directions, and this didn't matter.
the price of the parts wasn't expensive i found the parts for like 50 bucks on the internet and those were new. but there was/is no way to fix it without the repair manual makes it's very difficult, because of how tricky it is.
You lost my confidence in the first sentence. Car Dealer don’t copyright service manuals, manufacturers do. Interesting
“ long” statement though from a guy that doesn’t know the difference.
@shawnmason5290
so there is still collusions between the 2 entitites. it's called vertical collusions. this can still be considered an antitrust violations. it's not always horizontal markets. it can happen vertically aswell. it would violate the anticompetiive laws still.
