Took me a while to figure out that the little gold part didn't go into the spot for the bolt.

If you're having issues with the ear speaker magnet pulling the screws, get a few small neodymium magnets and place them on the far end of the screwdriver (the ACTUAL screwdriver, not the handle) the magnetic pull from the neodymium magnets is greater than that of the speaker, so the magnet won't draw them in.
I do the same thing with the sheilding on the iPad mini.
Many thanks for the video. On your video, the shield appears to just lift out. This didn't happen for me. At 2:56 exactly you can see a little hook which meant I had to give a gentle twist as I tried to lift it.
Most of the replacement front camera/proximity flexs do not come with the copper/taped portion. I have installed the replacement flexs, and they did not work, nor did the speaker. When I took a used one and installed it, it worked fine.

That safety tape was ripped during the repair. . It's that bad?

vietxqtflam3 If it rips its not really a big deal as long as it goes back on the back of LCD plate. The copper tape does serve a purpose.
