It's just so absurd.
It's only been a few years since this joke of an idea has been around, yet there have already been multiple trans men who have competed in women's leagues and destroyed the competition, simply to prove a point. If these "guys" know the reality of the situation, yet the governing bodies of the sports don't, then it's a very sad future for all sports in general. The physiological differences in male versus female bodies can't be ignored. It's not an insult against anyone's ability. It's simply a fact.
If you want to see this fact played out, count how many women are trying out men's combat sports.

She should be. Yet the fact that males DO have competitive advantages is outrageously obvious and we shouldn't need her to point this out. That some do shows us we have foundational problems, perhaps due to post modern subjectivity pairing with censorship of socially unpopular research outcomes through peer attacks in academia leading to confusion over basic concepts.
The race to the bottom of the hard left was always poor logic and reasoning at its core. And the inconsistency of the application of many hard-left (aka "woke") ideas was also always a problem.
For example, we know, if we have been paying attention, that academics have been engaging in cancel-culture attacks against researches and theor research, when their research results show it it is false that males who undergo treatment with female hormones lose their vast competitive advantages. It follows that the dog-piling academics have read the research, if they attack it for it's results. It then follows that significant segments of academia are deliberately furthering a lie, and so they themselves are deceptively and deliberately preventing the furthering of understanding among the population.
I used the word "lie," and variations thereof, deliberately, because at this point it is deliberate and knowing falsehood, at least for those shaping the narrative as well as for many pushing the narrative. Academia has become a primary source of propaganda and the dissemination of disinformation, which begs the questions, what good are universities for those who wish to actually learn, and why should anyone pay such insane tuition rates and take out life-stealing loans to attend these universities? Is it for the privilege of being properly indoctrinated with the institution's approved group-think?
The corruption of our higher education system seems nearly complete at this point. This should no be surprising, as it has been going on for some time. Just look at what has happened that jas befome known, starting with Evergreen College in Washington State, that was a sort of canary in the coal mine that most of us missed.
If we learn nothing else from this period of time assuming we can hold ourselves together until we get through to to never again Trust establishment media and new sources to select those stories that we hear and don't hear. Nor should we trust it to provide truthful accounts and unbiased information.
I do think that time is coming and coming quickly if you look at the numbers of views that someone like Tucker Carlson gets on an hour program that he puts out on RUclips compared to the number of views any of the big media sourcesget on anyone of there similar programs.

Surfing is all about balance, isn’t it? (I don’t know, as I don’t surf). Can I point out that men and women are different in proportions, (eg men have longer arms) and male and female have a different centre of gravity, and different shaped pelvis therefore our legs are also set at a different angle. (Hence women’s hourglass shape). Therefore a male athlete will NEVER be comparable to a female athlete. They are two very different things.

Biology doesn't have anything to do with your 'feelings'. It has to do with whether or not you have a Y-chromosome. People with Y chromosomes should compete against other people with Y chromosomes. Not complicated at all.

i wrote Ripcurl and told them that i, a long-time supporter of their brand, would NEVER wear their products again, for the fact that they subbed a man in for a woman. the tide is changing in 2024. pun intended. more and more have had it with all this, and are sticking their necks out finally, and saying NO!

The CT is full of Brazilians, all af them can't be on top of everyone, however there are 4 in the top 6, plus italo not far behind, they don't need to compete as women, they have won 6 CT of the last eight years too...if it wasn't for JJF (2016 and 2017) who by the way is a real good surfer and doesn't need help from the judges....Brazilians would have won all of them!....as of 2023 season Brazilians have won 6 out of nine events.... So I really don't see your point, everyone saw what happened at surf ranch, the only event won by Griffina, as I said before the only way for him to become a champion is by having that transformation right away...it's a fact.

I know, it's hard to adapt to change. I remember the good ole days when men were men and women were women. Now I feel threatened by trans people everywhere. I can't even go outside without being assaulted by rainbows.

How this translates into sport competitions is a whole different question... Surfing is about ability, skill and strategy. I'm not sure why it is divided into Male and female.
Bethany competes with only one arm, which in theory should put her at a disadvantage, but it doesn't, she's a champion.

In 2016 she beat the 6 times world champion surfer, who was the top lead surfer in the world.
This was in the world league championship of surfing.
As a result she cemented herself a place as a world-wide leader in her sport.
She was inducted into the hall of fame in surfing in 2017.
I would call her a champion and she competed against two armed competitors and beat them, so she definitely wasn't at a disadvantage.

The only way to cater for trans athletes is to have new, separate categories for them. It is the ONLY way sport will be both fair and inclusive. How does just lumping trans people into a pre-existing category recognise them as the unique individuals that they are? Wake up WSL! You need to update your thinking to keep up with the modern world!
