My problem is transitioning between another chord to a g/g7. Going from an f to a g7 my third finger is always too slow

I'm trying to learn tricks on my kid's Uke but it's comically smaller than yours, my finger width is barely the same size as the space for handling the fret, so this is ridiculous no matter what. However, your trick helps a bit, I may have to upgrade to a more adult-sized ukulele.

It‘s because your fingers are “lazy”, there laying on the other strings, it means you are putting them too flat. They should be curved and only one string should be touched. The other problem might be, that you aren’t pressing hard enough.
Not very helpful, my fingers are too close together for this hold, might work for older people though! :3
What size ukulele do you play? If soprano, maybe consider going up to Tenor or even Baritone size to give you more adequate fret spacing for your fingers to squeeze in. Hope this helps - Kevin | allforuke.com

You say 3 fingers but when you strum you hit all 4 strings. So for the strum is it 3 strings or 4, for a chord.
